liquid wastes from other processing plants may also be used as a supplemental source of water. only by doing these promptly now can we epect to solve the serious water problems in the future.

记得在不久前，新闻报道了我国西南地区发生严重旱灾，“抗旱救灾”这四个醒目的大字经常出现在我的身边，每当路过某一个十字路口，看到招牌上特别引人注目而又简单的一句话——只要中国的每一个人节约一滴水，那我们就可以汇成一条河时。不知每当路过的行人当中，有多少个人对这句话刻骨铭心，又有多少个人会想起我们的兄弟姐妹正处于旱灾之际呢?16岁的我，浪费水的毛病从小就养成了，有时去厕所就忘记关水龙头，有时撞到水杯，满杯的水就洒满了一地，可当我在新闻里看到一张张触目惊心的干旱图片时，我就为此埋下要下定决心戒掉浪费水的坏习惯的种子，为同胞们贡献出自己的一份力量，可我的力量毕竟是有限的，包括我的家人也赞成我这样做，希望用实际行动感动上天，不知不觉，我一看到有些人没有关水龙头，便自觉地关上，必养成了好习惯。

阻止不了这场旱灾，倒不如节约用水。让我们行动起来，节约生活中的每一滴水，为同胞祈祷，让他们不要灰心，因为还有我们这些兄弟姐妹呢!

When I was a small child, I usually thought it was a good luck to be sick in bed. You see, when you are ill, you can stay home. There is no need to finish so much homework. Your parents will take care of you. Besides there is always something good to eat. Isnt it enjoyable to eat so much nice food?

A week ago, I was really in hospital. It was painful for me to stay in bed for several days. I couldnt get up. I couldnt even move. I didnt want to eat anything though there was a lot before me. I missed my classmates and teachers so much that I was anxious to get back to meet my friends. I was also worried about my final examination.

Now I have grown up. I have changed my mind.
