水是生命之源，人们都知道我们的星球是一个三分陆地，七分海洋的“水球”，但是这并不意味着人们将会有充足的水源可用，事实上我们错了，虽说地球上百分之七十一都是水，可是能供我们人类使用的水源还占不到全世界的百分之一，再说了我们现在的人口正在以高速增长中，目前已经出现了部分地区水资源缺少的问题。

中国是一个干旱缺水严重的国家。淡水资源总量为28000亿立方米，占全球水资源的百分之六在世界上名列121位，是全球13个人均水资源最贫乏的国家之一。扣除难以利用的洪水泾流和散布在偏远地区的地下水资源后，中国现实可利用的淡水资源量则更少，仅为11000亿立方米左右，人均可利用水资源量约为900立方米，并且其分布极不均衡。

那些工厂排放的废水，人们随手丢的垃圾。据监测，全国因为这样多数城市地下水受到了污染，而且还有一年比一年加重的趋势。严重的水污染不仅使人们降低了水源，还进一步加剧了水资源短缺，严重威胁到人们的饮水安全和健康。我希望人们开始重视这个问题。

我提倡一是节约用水。杜绝水资源浪费，发现水龙头或水管漏水，迅速地找人修理，以免过多的水资源给浪费，在平时尽量节约用水，因为还有许多人根本用不到水，他们那水资源极度缺少，如果把这些水给节约了，不知道可以挽救多少人的生命了，所以我想说浪费水是可耻的行为。

二是治理污染为根本。我国目前还有大量的工厂仍然是将污水不经处理，就将工业废水直接排入湖水中，这样严重污染了水源，随着经济的发展，工业废水的排放量还在不断的增长，污染物也会随着增加。我希望政府能够大力推行污染控制，并将那些污染物排放严格控制，这样一来污染物排放就会有较大幅度的减少，水源污染也可以减少许多。

所以我想说节约水资源，人人有责，水是生命之源，若水没有了，我们也会随之灭亡。

The way I go to school

I’m Li Hua.

I’m Li Hua. I go to school on foot. I have several reasons for that.

First, my home is not very far from my school, it is just about two kilometers away from school. It takes me about 20 minutes to get there. Second, walking to school is a kind of exercise. It is good for my health. Third, it’s pretty safe to walk to school because there is a lot of traffic on the road at this time of a day. So I prefer going to school on foot.
