在我们农村，除夕夜里“迎家堂”和“迎财神”是必不可少的一种习俗。天刚下黑，晚饭过后，父亲就带着我去迎家堂了。

当那被父亲刷得整整齐齐的黄裱纸点燃的时候，透过忽明忽暗的火光，我看见跪在地上磕头的父亲一脸的虔诚，嘴里还嘟嘟嚷嚷地说着什么。我就在心里暗笑，终于忍不住“扑哧”一下笑出声来，迎来的是父亲责备的眼神，我噤声。这时，我周围的空气中充溢着黄裱纸燃烧过的纸香。

I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion. Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a "rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

除夕夜，家家户户十分热闹。在外面的人一定会赶回来与全家人团聚，吃年 夜 饭，大家欢歌笑语。还一定要把祖先请到家里来哩！感谢祖先给我们的美好生活。这一夜，灯火通宵，一家人围着火炉一起守岁，等待新年的到来。十二点钟一到，外面瞬间想起爆竹声。“噼里啪啦”欢呼着新年的到来。家里的爷爷奶奶做灶果，寓意来年平平安安。

大年初一与除夕夜相比显得十分清闲。虽清闲，但也是喜气洋洋。早晨，长辈们会煮长寿面给一家人吃。长寿面长寿面，顾名思义，就是吃了可以长寿的面，虽然是假的，也可是一个美好的愿望。初一这天，可是有一件重要的事——祭拜祖先。一家人全去祖坟上烧香祭拜，望祖先保佑自己来年心想事成。

接下来的日子便是到亲朋好友家拜年，女人们则在家中招待客人，孩子们三五个在一起聊天，玩耍。

元宵节，春节的最后一个高潮到了。到处张灯结彩，像在办喜事一样。这天晚上，大街上还会舞龙灯呢！长长的龙灯挥舞着，散发着金色的光芒，威武极了。街上还有各式各样的灯，走马灯，宫灯，纸灯……这些灯更是给元宵节添加了许多乐趣。

哦，对！元宵节这天还必须吃一样东西——汤圆，这象征着以后的日子美美满满，团团圆圆。一眨眼就到了正月十六，春节结束了，大人们忙着上班，孩子们忙着上学，又恢复了原本忙碌的生活，但过年的年味却久久不散……

Christmas Day is very popular around the world, which originates in western

country, but now it is celebrated by the world. When this big day comes, there

will be a lot of products that sold in very low prices, and the Santa Clauss

image will be seen all the street. Shops will play Christmas songs. I always

spend this festival with my friends, because my parents dont take this day

seriously. We hang out the street and join the big crowd in the square, singing

with people and then wait for the time to count down. It is such a great moment

for me. I can feel the lively atmosphere, like the New Year. On the way home, we

share our wishes and talk about the happy incidents. Christmas activity brings

me unforgettable memories.

在过年期间，我最高兴的一件事就是放鞭炮了。10点整，我和爸爸、妈妈在楼下兴高采烈地放炮。

爸爸放炮时，一手拿着放鞭炮的手把，一只手提着小钢炮的头，点着了炮。这时，突然想起“砰砰”的声音，我吓得连忙钻进妈妈的怀里。爸爸把另一只小钢炮递给我，让我来放一次。我甩头看着妈妈，一副求助的眼光。妈妈推了我一把，笑着说：“去吧！”我心惊肉跳的走到爸爸跟前，接了小钢炮。我像一只逃跑的小猫，一直被一个坏蛋追杀着。我拿着打火机用一直抖个不停的手点着了炮。咚咚咚！三声响，我被炮震得后退了几步。我对妈妈声嘶竭力的喊道：“妈妈，挺好玩儿的，再让我放几个吧！”于是，我换了一种方法，把五个钢炮一起放，于是我同时点着了五个炮。突然，一阵震天的响声冒了出来，我被高压冲击波一下子被冲出去了好远。我的屁股磕到了石头上，我哭笑不得，我对爸爸妈妈说：“真好玩儿，不过屁股磕到了石头上！”说完，爸爸和妈妈就捧腹大笑起来了。

过年真好玩儿，我喜欢过过年！
