My winter vacation

An area that faces south, with groves of pine trees creates the best flow of cosmic energy required to keep ancestors happy. Unfortunately,

nowadays, with Chinas burgeoning population, public cemetaries have quickly surplanted private gravesites. Family elders will visit the gravesite at least once a year to tend to the tombs.

While bland food is placed by the tombs on Qing Ming Jie, the Chinese regularly provide scrumptious offerings to their ancestors at altar tables in their homes. The food usually consists of chicken, eggs, or other dishes a deceased ancestor was fond of. Accompanied by rice, the dishes and eating utensils are carefully arranged so as to bring good luck. Sometimes, a family will put burning incense with the offering so as to expedite the transfer of nutritious elements to the ancestors. In some parts of China, the food is then eaten by the entire family.

Kites

Besides the traditions of honoring the dead, people also often fly kits on Tomb Sweeping Day. Kites can come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and colors. Designs could include frogs, dragonflies, butterflies, crabs, bats, and storks.

When autumn comes, I feel so excited, because the sports meeting comes. I

like sports so much. When I was very small, my father took me to watch the

basketball match, in the long time, sports have become part of my life. When I

started to come to school, I join the basketball team, I had the great time to

popular by the public. The foreigners speak highly of sharing bike, because they

can ride the bikes to look around the city and the expense is very cheap. As

Life is enjoyable in moments such like this. Old friends meet again surprisingly, on a road of their own ways to their dreams. they look at the face of each other, and recognize the old pal. It is such moment that makes me feel grateful to life: whenever I set off for a new destination, I see I have friends in the same direction, with whom I won’t feel alone any more.

可是不久就改变了我的看法。

有一次学校组织课外知识竞赛。有一道题是这样的：树袋熊为什么浑身是香的?三个选择：A与生俱来的，B生活在清香中，C它吃了一种香的树叶，时间长了就香了。这道题我在哪见过，哦，想起来了，就是前天阅读的一篇科学论文。里面提到的，说是树袋熊爱吃桉树叶，这种树叶里有一种成分，吃多了时间长了就香了。我选了C。过了几天，试卷发下了一看，果然是C。还有好多题，我都见过，才把它们做对的。

还有一次，上作文课。老师要我们写关于劝学的文章。我就引用了一些名言、古诗。好多人都没有想到，可是我想到了。作文点评时，老师把这篇文章读给大家听，让大家学习，还表扬我爱读书呢。这些都是我平时多阅读多积累的效果。

我终于明白了，阅读能让我们多补充课外知识，写出好的文章。当然最重要的是阅读让生活变得更精彩。所以说阅读好处多多。

Halloween is on the last day of October, it is very popular in the western country. On that day, people will dress in the horrible style, especially for the kids, they will knock from door to door. If people dont give them the candy, the children will play tricks on them. But in China, more and more young people like to follow this trend, they will play the roles and find some fun. As for me, Id like to join some activities on the Halloween. My friends always have some funny costumes, so I will borrow one from them. Then we dress together, when night comes, we will come to join the party. We sing and dance. It is such a fun night. Before the midnight, we will get together and take some drinks. 清明节的重点当属祭祀了，走着不常走的崎岖山路，欣赏着不常见的乡野风光，一路上倾听春风的歌声，我们来到了一座座长辈的坟茔前点上香和蜡烛，倒上三杯陈年老酒，摆好精心挑选的祭祀品，再在坟前全心全意地拜一拜，保佑自己平平安安，万事如意。

不过，现在人们防火意识越来越高，烧冥币、放鞭炮等习俗逐渐被敬献鲜花等文明的祭祀方式所取代。虽然上了年纪的奶奶还是十二万分的不高兴，但也拗不过我们的集体劝说。我呢，总是亲手采摘一些野花，扎成一束，恭敬地放在坟前，看到这个，奶奶也笑了!

如果你的家乡有竹林，那挖笋也是别有一番乐趣的。

扛上锄头，来到竹荫下，在层层落叶中找寻那冒尖儿的笋。一旦找到，就会引来无数羡慕的眼神，然后你抡起锄头，要非常有技巧地刨开笋周围的泥土，最后插到笋的根部，用力一撬，一个胖胖的笋娃娃就咕碌碌滚了出来。带上自挖的竹笋回家，炒个小菜，不是很有情趣吗?
