About the air pollution, we should go to school on foot or by bike; we should also ask our family not to use car as much as possible, take the subway or bus instead. Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. It falls on the twenty- fifth of December and has the same importance as Chinese New Year to people with English backgrounds. The celebration is for the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God in Christianity. Now days Christmas is no longer only celebrated by the Christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of December everyone gets excited for it’s the day before Christmas which is called Christmas Eve. The children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “Santa Claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” The younger kids actually believe that Santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. Food like short bread and beer are prepared for Santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. Some children put socks and sacks up for the holding of the presents (that their parents put in).

Rise and shine on Christmas morning! The children are always the first ones to wake up, some even do at four. Present wrappers everywhere! They look into their presents with a big smile on their face and oh dear….I hope no one’s disappointed. I feel sorry for anyone that got pink underwear. Children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. The Christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. and more people cut down trees for money. As trees grow naturally, people dont

need to invest anything on them. But cutting down trees has destroyed our

nature. We have already seen the bad consequence. For example, we always suffer

from the flood and drought disaster; many animals are facing the danger of dying

out, because their habitats have been destroyed; deserts are expanding, and

sandstorms are emerging. Our environment has been changed from bad to worse due

to the reduction of forests. Thus, the government should appeal people that

As summer vacation is coming, my parents have made some plans for me,

妈妈已经去世13年了。

时，我就心想，我拿什么奉献给我的妈妈？

有一年，我给孩子们上余光中的诗歌《乡愁》，当上到“后来啊，乡愁是一方矮矮的坟墓，我在外头，母亲在里头……”时，竟在班级里哭了起来。我想起了到妈妈对我的好，对我的严格要求，对我的无微不至的关怀，想到她所吃的苦，所受的罪，她的坚强和不屈，我就潸然泪下……

我时常怀念妈妈……

记忆中，妈妈是非常漂亮的，她的娘家是楚州区林集镇人。林集本来是个很不错的地方，也算是玉米之乡，她们家的家境应该说还可以吧。

妈妈嫁给爸爸之后，就到我们这里了。我们这里是穿运村，据说那时这里普遍都很穷。妈妈跟着爸爸吃辛受苦，忍饥挨饿，他们俩艰难地支撑着家庭，勉强度日。

有时，生产队没有事情，她就和我东边邻居大妈一起上街去找事情做，八宝饭人家菜园子除草、种菜、浇肥，灌溉什么的，她几乎什么事情都会做，她还带着我在身边，我亲眼目睹妈妈的辛劳，也参加进她的劳动中去，做些力所能及的事情。现在想想，妈妈给我的实在是太多了，我拿什么回报呢？我真的……

妈妈对我要求很严。我那时学习很认真，也很懂事。但一到交学费的时候，就是我最痛苦的时候，也是妈妈最尴尬的时候。记得那天，我的同学们都拿着学费交去了，他们一会儿就可以拿到那散发着油墨清香的书本了，而我的学费还没有着落，我就满腹地痛苦。我更知道，妈妈比我更痛苦。妈妈就又。想办法了，她不愿让这份痛苦过多地让我承受，于是她就动挪西借，七拼八凑。

As a result, people’s health has been seriously disturbed.

First and foremost, I have a pet. It is my dog, It is name is coco, It is color is as white as snow, and have a two big eyes. It is very nice and loyalty.
