ORIGIN(起源)

Qing Ming is popularly associated with Jie Zi Zhui, who lived in Shanxi province in 600 B.C. Legend has it that Jie saved his starving lords life by serving a piece of his own leg. When the lord succeeded in becoming the ruler of a small principality, he invited his faithful follower to join him. However, Jie declined his invitation, preferring to lead a hermits life with his mother in the mountains.

Believing that he could force Jie out by burning the mountain, the lord ordered his men to set the forest on fire. To his consternation, Jie chose to remain where he was and was burnt to death. To commemorate Jie, the lord ordered all fires in every home to be put out on the anniversary of Jies death. Thus began the "cold food feast", a day when no food could be cooked since no fire could be lit.

纸钱，又或者是焚烧黄表纸，代表的是阴曹之内所通用的一种货币，在很多地区至今还流行烧纸叠金元宝的习俗。洪喜庆的《杜诗辩证》 上说：“齐东昏侯好鬼神之事, 剪纸为纸, 以代束帛, 至唐盛行其事”。这里说的齐东昏侯，是指南朝齐第六位皇帝。这一烧纸钱的习俗约起源于南北朝时期，其时人们一般是将白纸剪成铜钱的形状，届时或抛撒于野外墓地，或焚化给死者，民间一般将此称为撒纸、烧纸等。

生人唯恐亡者先人在地狱没有钱花，所以每到特定时节都会用火焚的方式把钱“寄”给亡者，希望他们在另一个世界中不要受苦受难。又有一些生前作恶、死后受刑的魂众，此时就需要更多的金银来买通施刑的小鬼，好在十八层地狱里面少受一些苦难。又或者是希望买通相关鬼吏，求得早日托生成人。

也就是说，生人说烧的纸钱其实附加了更多的人世间的社会属性。因此百姓口中的送钱送衣，其实在无形中附加了贿赂之情。更有现代一些不良商家印刷出来十亿、百亿的天地银行或冥府银行的钞票，实则赚死者钱、卖活人情，实在不值得提倡。

纸钱到底烧给谁？

道教是一个重生的宗教，天道自然，修道之人认为生死事乃自然运化。清明祭拜多是表达哀思，并无贿赂或寄送金银之情，这一点要和民间的习俗区分开。至于现代宗教中也引入了烧冥币的行为，则多是各种文化融合的结果。既然烧钱烧衣是生人情感的寄托，为什么还有这么多人依旧在烧纸钱？ 凡世之人，想要感格神明，必要心假香传，以香烟为信，才能上达九天、下抵黄泉。经云：“非草木臭秽之彝伦，迎青华慈仁而降格”，“一炷真香烈火焚，金童玉女下瑶闻。此香愿达青华府，奏请太乙救苦尊”，用这种方式来请救苦天尊下降从而起到拔度亡魂的效果。

道教在做法的时候，是以水火济炼的方式把亡魂请九幽之下请出来，通过高功法师运神变身、默咒作讳的方式把法食赈济给幽魂众，之后再对其进行三皈九戒的劝导，从而引领已亡者回心醒悟，再生之时割断恶根，

最初为亡者烧纸钱时，多是以草木香和黄表纸为原材料，并无具体的金银以及钱币的形象。焚烧黄表纸和染香请神有相似的功效，粗糙的黄纸在燃烧后生成的青烟随风缭绕，纸灰较轻也更容易呈上升之态，所以也更易带走人们相思的情绪。至今，民间部分地区还有上坟烧纸的习俗，而并不是当天更为流行且功利的烧纸钱。

首先一点，人鬼不相通，想要为亡者做功德，必须要请道长借用自身功力济度亡魂。这个过程非常复杂，远不是烧几张纸钱就能解决问题的。

其次，虽有传言说亡者会入梦来，所以很多人都在会如清明、祭日等特定节日于夜梦中见到亡者。有些人为此惶惶不可终日，其实无此必要，此时多是因为思念太甚。清明节本就是一个带有春游性质的祭扫节日，踏春出行更是古人适当纾解哀思的方式。诗人杜牧非常著名一首诗《清明》写道：“借问酒家何处有，牧童遥指杏花村”，为思念找到一个合适的消解方式，生人过好当下的生活，这才是对死者的尊重，同时也更是亡者的心愿。

为什么现代依旧保存着祭扫的习俗？

清明节的缘起和为追溯介子推而设立的寒食节密切相关，最初因为受到寒食节的影响，人们制作的纸钱并不是用来焚烧的，而是挂在墓地旁边的树枝上，或者用土块压在坟头上。宋庄季裕《鸡肋篇》卷上：“寒食上冢，亦不设香火。纸钱挂于茔树。其去乡里者，皆登山望祭。裂帛于空中，谓之掰钱。”这样一来，凡是有人祭扫的坟墓前都会有纸幡飘动。凡没有纸幡的坟头，则说明此姓人家已经断了后代。中国人讲究香火绵远、子孙昌盛，从最初的禁火到后来盛行的烧纸钱，再到现如今的文明祭扫，虽然形式几经改变，但每逢清明子孙后代回家祭祀先祖的风俗一直没有变，中华民族的这一敬天法祖传统也因此而会代代相传下去。

那天早晨，我按捺不住激动的心情，早早地起了床，在易校长的带领下出发了。一路上欢声笑语不断，同学们个个心潮澎湃。终于期待已久的故居——韶山出现在我们眼前，我们像快乐的小鸟一样下了车。

首先我们来到瞻仰主席的故居，里面收拾得井井有条，每样用品都是那么简陋，让人简直不敢相信。这样勤俭节约的主席怎能让人不爱戴呢?想想自己平时的铺张浪费，真让人觉得惭愧呀!

怀着无比崇敬之情，我们又来到了铜像广场。那儿早已聚集了来自五湖四海祭奠主席的人群，我们也加入了他们的行列。作为这次扫墓的主持人，我更是激动不已。“天空为今天垂泪，松柏为今天呜咽。”我饱含深情地说着，眼前仿佛浮现出光辉形象。在我的带动下我们庄严地向主席三鞠躬，来表达我们深深的敬意。是啊，祖国也以现代化飞速发展的现实来告慰您的英魂，您安息吧!随着哀乐，我们全体默哀一分钟。世界不会忘记您，共和国不会忘记您，我们更不会忘记您。近百年黑暗与屈辱的历史，将中国推向了深渊，是您带领中国共产党，使中国从此站了起来，走出了水深火热之中。我们为有您这样的主席而骄傲。

我们还参观了纪念馆和遗物馆。最后我们依依不舍地离开了韶山，在回家的路上，我的心情久久不能平静，我们一定要珍惜现在的幸福生活，好好学习，长大了为祖国做贡献。

Desert, rose water, cancer... With humans dont care for the environment, damage to the environment has a lot to do. Like a clear brook became black stink; Dense woods turned into bare land; A variety of animals also slowly become extinct. The earth mother is sick!

We these uncivilized habits will not only bad for plants, animals, also not be good to oneself. Some people just because of air pollution, some people get sick because of water pollution, and mother born child is abnormal, there are some men smoking lit trees, also caused the fire, forest were destroyed, ecological destruction. In this way, the earth slowly turned into a garbage dump in the universe.

The earth is our survival homeland, destroy the earths environment, is destroying our human oneself. So, we human beings should protect the environment. Protect the environment, our children to start small, put the rubbish into the dustbin, and sent him to the correct boxes. Hope everyone is less by car and more riding a bicycle, advocate green travel. Save water, reduce waste. Let the earth mothers illness get better gradually. Let the sky bluer, the water cleaner, the grass is greener and more colourful flower. Become the most beautiful and good earth!

The fish in the water is much more slowly, and thrive on the trees of the forest, the animals also have a happy home! This should be our beautiful home, changed the original bad habits, protect the environment.

沙漠、涨水、癌症……都是跟人类不爱护环境，破坏环境有很大的关系。像清澈的小河变成了乌黑发臭;茂密的树林变成了裸露的土地;一种种动物也慢慢灭绝了。地球妈妈生病了!

小鱼对小鸟说：“你知道吗?我们这个小水池已经死了十几条鱼了!”，小鸟说”对呀!这里的空气一点儿也不清新，都要把我闷死了!”。

树木们在森林里谈到：“现在的生活很危险，要不就是被一些顽皮的孩子把树枝弄弯;要不就是被人们砍伐掉。总之就是不好过。”

爬行动物们也说：“哎!我们的日子也难过呀，就怕被人们吃了，或被关进动物园里，或被放进马戏团里表演节目。这真是一个可怕的世界呀!”

我们这些不文明习惯不光会对植物、动物不好，对自己也没什么好处。有些人就是因为空气污染而死亡的，有些人因为水污染而得病，还有的妈妈生下来的孩子就是畸形的，还有一些男人吸烟把树木点燃，还引发大火，森林被烧毁、生态被破坏。就这样，地球慢慢变成了宇宙中的垃圾堆。

地球是我们生存的家园，破坏地球环境，就是破坏我们人类自己。所以，我们人类要保护环境。保护环境，我们小孩要从小事做起，把垃圾丢到垃圾箱里，还要把他送到正确的箱子里。希望每个人都少坐汽车，多骑自行车，倡导绿色出行。节约用水，减少浪费。让地球妈妈的病渐渐好起来。让天更蓝、水更清、草更绿、花更艳。变成最美好的地球!

水里的小鱼也慢慢多了，森林里的树木也旺盛起来了，动物们也有一个幸福的家园了!这应该才是我们美丽的家园，把原来的坏习惯改了，保护环境。

It seems like a silly question, anyone in sane would give a hand to the elderly who fell. But in China, this question is becoming tricky. Many news report that there are some old people not just fell, they do it on purpose. Usually, they walk on a crowdy street, and pretend to faint or just lay down on the ground, intend to accuse the one who comes to help as a perpetrator and blackmail him/her for the treatment fee. Many people have fell for that and had to pay as there is no witness to prove their innocence. As for these negative news, people is afraid to help those old people in need, that makes some of them who are in real trouble could not get help in time. I once asked one of my friends: “Why the old people turn bad? If you see one in the street, would you help?” He said: “It is not the old people turn bad, it is the bad people turn old. I will video him/her to make a statement first, then decide if I would help.”

这似乎是个愚蠢的问题,任何清醒的人遇到跌倒的老人都会伸出援助之手。但在中国，这个问题变得棘手。很多新闻报道说有些老人不只是跌倒而已，他们是故意这么做的。通常他们会走到人潮涌动的街头，假装晕倒或者是直接躺在地上，想要指控那些来帮助他的人为肇事者，敲诈他们要治疗费。很多人都上当了，由于没有目击者证明他们的清白，他们被迫支付了费用。正因为这些负面新闻，人们害怕去帮助那些需要帮助的老人，也因此造成了那些真正有困难的老人没有得到及时的帮助。我曾经问我一个朋友：“为什么现在的老人变坏了?如果你在街上看到这样的老人你会帮助吗?”他说：“不是老人变坏了，是坏人变老了。我会先录像让他做一个声明，再决定是否帮助他。”

I imagine a lot about lives in the future. I think two words can summarize

my imagination. The first word is fast. In the future, we will have more quickly

transportation means. Now matter how far we go, it takes only a short time. With

the development of science and technology, we can travel to the moon, Mars or

somewhere outer space. People may can live in other planets. The second word is

convenient. Because of the fast development of our society, many work can be

done by computers or even robots. Lots of things are fully automated. Humans

just need to give some simple instructions to complete complecated tasks.

从小学开始，语文课就令我充满兴趣，它不像英语，总是带给你一种生疏，冰冷之感，它是令我们亲切的。读语文课本我获益颇多，那小诗的`优美淡雅，细致入微、古雅秀丽的散文韵味，令人沉醉其中，回味无穷。

不过那时看书，更多如囫囵吞枣一般，光注意故事情节去了，不细细品味，丢了书中最精彩宝贵的东西。不知读一本好书，如同温一壶好茶，不同的作家总有不同的古墨香气，只有慢慢品方知其甘醇。

到了初中，读的多了，才感到语文这潭水的深幽。那小学时看似简单易懂的文章，如今一层层撩开它的面纱，才觉得他的博大精深;小时沾沾自喜的语文水平，倒是班门弄斧一般了。曾引以为傲的书房里那满满的两柜子书，现在也只能找到大半好书了。儿时父母念故事给我听，再大了点，便拿着有许多插图的书看得起劲，到了四年级，便是一页页满满的故事了——想来竟浪费了不少时间在那悠长的故事里。

读林清玄的散文，似是领悟到了什么，却又模模糊糊。反反复复，细细咀嚼，才觉妙哉：文章有些禅味，蕴着为人处世的道理。朱自清的散文却又是另一番风味，我对朱自清的印象特深的是他文章的意境，读着读着似乎也和他一起弥散在罩着月色的荷塘中了。

小时笔法生疏，总是些现话重复着，渐渐的，看多了书，也悟出了些门道来了。读得多了，背得多了，那诗似的句子也便信手拈来。生活中也沾着点书卷气，附了些高雅。当然，现在我正处于一个不断积累的阶段，“路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索。”我的学习文学之路还漫长着呢!

We have recently held a class meeting to discuss the pressure upon everyone of us Senior Three students. At the meeting everyone expressed their own opinions on how to get relieved from pressure.

Pressure comes from all around: from the heavy load of learning, from the fierce competition, from teachers, and from parents. Pressure may affect our studies if there’s too much of it. However, if taken positively, a certain amount of pressure may help push us ahead.

Whenever I find there’s too much pressure, I choose to work out or listen to some light music, which seems to be quite effective. There are many approaches to getting oneself relieved when pressure accumulates. I strongly recommend that when you feel much too stressed, you stop whatever you are doing, get out into the open, take a deep breath, and start thinking of something positive.

Science and technology have been bringing human beings tremendous benefits.

Thanks to science and technology, we now live comfortably and conveniently in

houses furnished with air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and

televisions etc. Thanks to science and technology, we can eat fresh vegetables

at the year round. Thanks to science and technology, we can travel long

distances in the fraction of a second on planes, trains and cars. Thanks to

science and technology, we wear clothes with synthetic materials which can not

easily be worn out.

However, science and technology have atso brought us a lot of disasters.

First, because of the many breakthroughs in the field of medicine, people are

now living much longer than they used to. As a result, the population of the

world is increasing, causing lots of problems. Second, because of the

development of industry, lots of the wastes from factories pour into the air and

rivers, causing pollution of all kinds. Third, some terrorists are using science

and technology against mankind. They use biological, chemical and unclear

weapons to threaten world peace...

So its urgent that we find ways to solve these problems. But we should not

stop the development of science and technology because of these disasters they

bring, just as we should not give up eating for fear of choking. In addition, we

should make some rules to regulate our actions. As long as we use science and

technology in a proper way, they may bring us even more benefits.

I’m neither interested in sports nor good at it. But except swimming. I can

swim since I was a baby. My mother tells me that she let me swim in the water

with a life-buoy when I was 20 days old. And then I can swim gradually. When I

grow up, I like swimming very much. I swim all the year round. Swimming in

summer makes me feel comfortable to lower my temperature. While winter swimming

makes me feel excited and achievability. In general, swimming keeps me fit in

both physical and mental. Whenever I feel upset, I would go swimming and then I

would be full of energy and feel relax. Besides I believe it is due to swimming

that I’m so thin. Who wants to lose weight, join me. We can make more friends in

swimming. Oh, I couldn’t wait to swim now. But it is ten o’clock in the evening.
