Far and away the most important holiday in China is Spring Festival, also

known as the Chinese New Year.

To the Chinese people it is as important as Christmas to people in the

West.

The dates for this annual celebration are determined by the lunar calendar

rather than the Gregorian calendar, so the timing of the holiday varies from

late January to early February.

To the ordinary Chinese, the festival actually begins on the eve of the

lunar New Year‘s Day and ends on the fifth day of the first month of the lunar

calendar. But the 15th of the first month, which normally is called the Lantern

Festival, means the official end of the Spring Festival in many parts of the

country.

Spring Festival is the most importantand popular festival in China.Before

Spring Festival ,the people usually clean and decorate their houses.And they go

to the Flower Fairs to buy some flowers.

During Spring Festival ,the adults usually give lucky money to

children.People often get together and have a big meal.Some people eat dumpling

转眼间，又到了清明。几天前就听同学和大人们说起清明节扫墓之事，我不禁想到：人们为什么都赶去在清明节扫墓？清明究竟是什么样的一个日子？

我很幸运，奶奶爷爷姥姥姥爷都还健在，所以，我并不十分理解“清明”意味着什么。于是，今天，我下定决心要搞清楚什么是清明。

那么，我的“根”又在哪里呢？我的籍贯是河南，却生长在哈尔滨，直到十岁才跟随父母搬家到北京。哪里又是我的故乡呢？曾经困惑的我，似乎刹那间明白，我的“根”就在哈尔滨。因为在那里，不仅有我的亲人，还有我成长的足迹。这是我不能忘记的故乡，但是有时，我却把它忘记了。

今的故乡已经发生了翻天覆地的变化，儿时住的老楼早已被拆掉，小学的校舍也翻新过不知多少次了。那曾经的一切是否连同老旧的房屋和街道一样“灰飞烟灭”了呢？她还是记忆中的故乡吗……

不知什么时候，我的眼开始有些模糊，模糊在故乡人和故乡事的幻影中……

我想，我始终没有真正地忘记儿时的故乡，因为那段回忆已被尘封在心底柔软的角落，唯有清明之时，她才会被唤醒。清明一过，便继续尘封着。

One morning every week ago, he came to me and asked if he may well be of help. Actually I were worrying about my processthis semester for days since I hadnt got any English courses yet! Still i used to be totally caught off guard by Aeros offer althoughhe had almethodsbeen kind. i assumed it was my very own business and that it had never occurred to me ny other personwould offerto assist with my selecting the courses. So I declined his kindness. The very next day, im goingt a cough and that it later turned out to be a four-day topfever. In those days, i used to be extremely weak and lay in bed all day hard and longly had any strength even to eat. Now im scripting this newsletter because the housework of this writing course and that id love to re emphasize that this is all as a result of my friends attemptthat ive finally made it.

i used to be really grateful to him when he known asand staleered to assist and that its hard to exactmy gratitude with words. Father often say much read, there will be a lot of benefits, even the teacher said that reading a lot of good, also is the so-called reading enriches the mind. Read but I dont know what is good, whats the role in life.

爸爸常说多阅读，会有好多好处的，就连老师也说阅读好处多多，也就是所谓的开卷有益吧。可是我却不知道阅读究竟有什么好的，在生活中到底有什么作用。

可是不久就改变了我的看法。

有一次学校组织课外知识竞赛。有一道题是这样的：树袋熊为什么浑身是香的?三个选择：A与生俱来的，B生活在清香中，C它吃了一种香的树叶，时间长了就香了。这道题我在哪见过，哦，想起来了，就是前天阅读的一篇科学论文。里面提到的，说是树袋熊爱吃桉树叶，这种树叶里有一种成分，吃多了时间长了就香了。我选了C。过了几天，试卷发下了一看，果然是C。还有好多题，我都见过，才把它们做对的。

还有一次，上作文课。老师要我们写关于劝学的文章。我就引用了一些名言、古诗。好多人都没有想到，可是我想到了。作文点评时，老师把这篇文章读给大家听，让大家学习，还表扬我爱读书呢。这些都是我平时多阅读多积累的效果。

我终于明白了，阅读能让我们多补充课外知识，写出好的文章。当然最重要的是阅读让生活变得更精彩。所以说阅读好处多多。

每个人都要懂得感恩，学会感恩。感恩父母，感恩父母给予我们的一切，在人生的道路上，是谁给了你生命，是谁教会你做人的道理，又是谁在你失败的时候给予你鼓励……当然是你的父母，是他们给予了你无穷的爱。
