Last Monday, we had a monitor election. At the beginning the two candidates, LiuDong and Wang Hong gave us a speech introducing themselves and telling us their plans in the future. Then we had a vote. We wrote down the name of the better one in our mind and put the paper in a box. Then the exciting time came that our teacher counted the number and wrote it on the blackboard. The result was that 28 students who voted Wang Hong, 13 more than the number of students who voted LiuDong, which meaned WangHong was elected as our monitor. Wang is really pretty good. I believe she will be a good monitor.

我的家乡在太平，这里人杰地灵，富有生机，无论是什么人到了这，都会变得快乐。

清晨，戴着大红冠的公鸡在叫了第三声之后，天便已蒙蒙亮。隐隐约约能听到“汪汪汪”的狗叫声，伴着“嘎嘎嘎”的鸭叫，睡了一晚的太阳也从地平线上跃出，给大地带来了一片生机。

推开家门，远远望去，白的像一锅浓汤的大雾给四面环绕的大山围上一条围巾，把它变得朦朦胧胧，平添了几分神秘感。近些，河旁的田里，搭着许多凉棚，棚里挂着许多瓜类：菜瓜、丝瓜、葫芦……它们躲在绿色的藤蔓中，在阳光下，绿得可爱，绿得可口。

中午，太阳当空照，家家都忙着做饭。这时，从各家屋子里冒出的炊烟在空中汇合，时而拜访大山;时而和小溪作伴;时而逗一逗鸡鸭;时时给人们带去欢乐的气息。这时的江面最是好看，水波粼粼，五光十色，微风一吹，还泛起阵阵波纹，美丽极了!

傍晚，是村里最美的时候。多彩的夕阳染红了云朵，晕红了大山的脸，更染红了大地，村里到哪都是一片喜气的红。溪里更是热闹非凡：鱼儿跃出水面，争着看这美景，孩子们在溪边嬉戏，农人们扛着锄头拉着牛，一路聊着，炊烟里多了一份等待，待家人们回家。院里，早就摆上了饭菜，而顺着饭香回到家的孩子们则顾不上洗手，就先偷尝了几口佳肴。

吃完晚饭，大人们串门聊天，孩子们结伴在院子里看着那怎么数也数不清的星星，没有电视，没有电子游戏，却仍然快活，仍然自在。

In the past,my hometown was not very big, people lived a poor life. The houses were old and small.Pollution was serious,and there was rubbish everywhere.the traffic was not very convenient that so few people came here.

Now great changes have taken place in my hometown.The environment has become more beautiful.The mountains are all green,the river clearer and the sky bluer.Many people all have thier own cars and have a happy life everyday.And now, every year,thousands of people from all over the world come to visit our hometown.My hometown becomes more and more famous.

Spring, my hometown, green grass and flowers are in bloom. Out of the tree branches, birds singing in the merry. Looking around is the continuous mountains, mountains and rolling hillsides in the spring, as if a domesticated hen the carpet, until the sky. 是中国西部的黄金旅游胜地，国家级风景区有马岭河峡谷、万峰林、万峰湖，国家级水利风景旅游名胜区有贞丰三岔河，省级风景名胜区有安龙招堤等独特的自然风光。从古到今，黔西南有着浓厚的历史文化，有“贵州龙”化石、“兴义人”古人类文化遗址、南明历史遗迹“十八先生墓”、“永历皇宫”、何应钦故居等历史文化。各民族大团结，有着浓郁的民族风情，各民族的音乐、节日、风俗各具独特魅力。

如，布依族的“三月三”“六月六”、“査白歌节”，苗族的“八月八”等民族节日，多姿多彩，载歌载舞。此外，我的家乡，矿产资源丰富，有水资源、煤炭资源、铁矿资源、黄金资源、森林资源等，就拿森林资源来说。黔西南森林覆盖率达40。44%。春天鸟语花香，夏天绿树成荫，放眼望去山川披上绿毯。

啊！谁不说我家乡美呢？我爱我家乡，美丽的黔西南。
