Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. Research experience and academic activityWhen a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

我做了一个小计划就是想幸幸福福的过大年。今天，我怀着好心情回到离别长久的故乡。看看那曾经的故土，一股兴奋涌上心头眼泪不由自主的流淌在脸颊这不是悲伤而是开心。

我提着重重的行李箱奔向那充满温情的故乡，冲那蓝天呐喊：故乡，我回来了!

这时下起了鹅毛大雪，那雪像一位不食人间烟火的仙子，她化身成无数飘舞着的雪花，迈着优雅的步伐一点一点的降落在世界的角落，那仿若永恒不老的松树也被它的晶莹光芒所打动披上了一层层的银白色，那地上堆得白胖胖的小雪人，疑惑地睁着它那小眼睛盯着树梢上那在阳光照耀下闪着光的冰花。

看着故乡我不愿打破这如此神圣的时刻，这是故乡的冬天啊!这么令人如痴如醉啊!我迈着轻盈的脚步在彩虹桥上落下一足足脚印，仿佛自己又回到了小时候。我坐在桥边，看到小时候自己和小伙伴堆雪人打雪仗是那么温馨。我随着雪花不由自主的唱起歌来，我看见自己在校园唱着歌曲与同学老师迎接冬天现在想起多么想回到过去。我爱故乡，更珍惜童年的回忆。

都说是上有天堂下有苏杭，却不知陇上也有好风光；渭河秋水秦岭春花，既有秀丽又见雄壮。大地湾里孕育文明，麦积石窟千年辉煌。

我的家乡，天水是一个山清水秀的地方。关于古城天水，还有一个美丽的传说呢！相传汉武帝元鼎三年的一天，在如今天水市南面，突然地显红光，雷电交加，大地持续震动，地面裂开一道大缝，天河之水注入其间，遂成一湖。由于湖水水位稳定，水质纯净，甘冽醇厚，当地居民称为天水井。后来，汉武帝下旨在上?湖边，筑起一座城池，起名“天水郡”。《水经注》上说：“上邦北城中有湖，水有白龙出，风雨随之，故汉武帝改为天水郡。”这就是“天河注水”传说的来历。

天不还有一个秀丽的名子，“陇上小江南”。天水是中国古文化发祥地之一，又称“龙城”。秦属陇西郡，汉置天水郡，三国设秦州，汉武帝时定名“天水”，至今已有2000多年的历史。是历代兵家必争之地，被国务院定为“中国历史文化名城”。天水既有北国之雄奇，又有江南之秀丽，夏无酷暑，冬无严寒，被称为“陇上小江南”。秀丽的天水哟，生我养我的故乡，我欢乐的童年，那金色的时光，伴着古城秀丽的风光，永永远远刻在我的心上。

天水还是一个旅游名城。著名的中国四大石窟之一的麦积山石窟，有“东方雕塑馆”的美称。位于武山县的水帘洞，景色怡人；修造于北魏的甘谷大像山，巍峨壮观，山上宁静安祥的大佛被称为悬崖大象。此外，闻名海内外的“人祖”伏羲庙，以观内“清意在山尘不容”的“玉泉”著称的玉泉观，被诗人杜甫题咏为“山头南郭寺，水 号北流泉”的南郭寺……这都是令我留连忘返的名胜古迹。

我爱我的家乡，我爱她的文化，爱她的名胜，爱她的物产。
