There are many kinds of love, between family members, lovers, friends or love of mercy for the weak , and jean valjeans love is to give all the poor people in the world, poor people, sympathy, and those who are worthy of respect. Is the book down, leaving me deeply shocked and moved.

Because of a minor crime, spent 14 years, in order to survive, he fled the shackles "sinners". Became a mayor has numerous property, a donated the most money to charities and the poor, so much so that he often go out a pocket full of money, the empty came back again. In addition, he also often give bread to starving people, give the clothes to cold; People everywhere. For the poor, he is like an umbrella, an embodiment of justice.

One of the most representative is he fang town with cosette, mother and daughter of love. In order to achieve the fang town dying to meet their own daughters wishes, he would escape again (this time escape from prison, for he is a lifelong convict price)。 Although fang town ultimately failed to achieve their wishes died, but he was always adhere to the time to complete his irrelevant to fang town - a dead promise… With the course of his life when carefully take care of her as his daughter. I was deeply moved. Corresponding with the dark and ugly social phenomenon, is a heart so kind, selfless; And the noble moral character. In order to make some strangers dont hurt, he should stand and walk again and again risks, even willing to pay a life of their own. You know this is how great courage and strength to pay! All this shows a noble soul!

No amount of money, high position, more power, jean valjean in the in the mind is far less than justice!

After read the complete book, think that the class society is cruel to the poor is rude; Lamenting the social reality of France at that time; Think that people desire cunning evil thoughts; Lamenting over those mundane and ordinary people, in order to against social injustice, and made great contribution, the people full of hope and love.

"Only love can destroy everything in the world, unfortunately," this is the author wants to tell us, although we love jean valjean did not great, but in real life, ordinary love is everywhere. Do you remember when you are frustrated that the warm embrace; When you are thrilled that enthusiastic high-five; When you embarrass anger that understand the vision; When complacency that severe frown… Do you remember the warm language, friendly smile, soft eyes and then gently pat caresses…

The most powerful counterattack is the love of dark! Let love pass, diffusion, with action to change around, the world will likely to slowly become what you want!

See here, I am very envious of this so "lucky" the hero, but I want to: people reason to please him, because it was not that people are reading too much money to it? Worship of money is shameful, and something for nothing we should not! Money is not a panacea, in the world there are many more important things than money .

Mark Twains short story with "one million pounds" is a very good work. Article on the "money is everything" "Money is omnipotent," the ideas of irony, exposed the ugly face of capitalist society.

"Millions of pounds" refers to a poor, honest man, that is, the hero of this story has received a pair of brothers, a letter which gave him one million pounds. It turns out that the brothers played a bet, gambling, if a poor, honest man knocking on the door of one million pounds received, he will be what results?

The tale of two cities is a historical story, one of Dickens’ long fictions. The background to the novel is the revolution of France .It portrayed a brutal and bloody story , but it also contained love and friendship.

In the novel, Dickens sarcastically described a typical cruel nobleman—marquis of Evermonde . When he was young he and his brother stole a countrywoman by force and killed her family .What’s worse , he used his power to imprison Dr Manette , a kind and honest man who knew all the things they had done and wanted to disclose their crimes . In order to hide their crimes. Marquis of Evermonde and his brother threw Doctor Manette into prison for 18 years . During these 18 years,Doctor Manette lost his freedom and suffer a great in spirit .

I felt unthinkable that Marquis of Evermonde and his brother killed people just as easily as they killed chickens. They deprived other people’s freedom as they liked and they thought it was normal and unremarkable. They had never realized that they had done something wrong or something improper. Because their nature was cruel and evil, like demons. There is an old saying which means: People who commit too many crimes will kill themselves. After all, there is justice in the world. The demons can’t be rampant forever. Because the world will not forgive them. They will pay their lives for their crimes. Let’s see the consequence of the Marquis,’’He lay there like a stone with a knife pushed into his heart.” I think it was just what he ought to gain and it is a real exciting scene.

The Marquis’ death was just the beginning of people’s resistance to the nobleman. Gradually more and more people joined in the revolution. One after another nobleman were sentenced to death and their heads were cut down . However, some innocent people were implicated in the revolution. Charles Darney was one of them He was the nephew of Marquis of Evermonde. To the opposite of his uncle, Darney was a kind and independent young man.

Dickens spoke highly of kindness mercy and love in the novel too. This is the other thone of the novel when Doctor Manette was released from prison. It was his daughter Lucie who took care of him and helped him return to normal. During this time, Dr manette and Lucie knew Charles Darney and Sydeny Carton, the two young man fell in love with Lucie at the same time . At last, Lucie married Chares Darney .Dr Manette accepted Darney as his son-in-law although he knew that Darney was the nephew of the man who threw him into prison for18 years. This is the love between father and daughter. And Sydeny Carton , the very great man ,loved Lucie deeply. He promised Lucie that he would do everything for her happiness. He did it truely ,he sacrificed himself instead of Darney who looked the same as him. This is love for lovers . This is the most wonderful thing in the world. It also reminds us that no matter how no matter when there is true love existing. At the end , Lucie, Dr Manette and Darney arrived in England safely.

The tale of two cities is different from other historical fictions. Its characters and main plots are fictional under the real background of the revolution of France. The author made the experience of the fictional charactor Dr Manette as the main clue. The plots are complicated, and they are flexuous and dramatic. The structure is complete and rigorous.

Dickens had dear love and hate. He praised those who ought to be praised and attacked those who ought to be attacked. The motivation of the novel maybe just warn the English dominators. But I think we can learn something meaningful from the tale of two cities.

The Olympic Games, which originated in ancient Greece, is the most distinguished sporting event in the world. Once every four years, the utmost athletes from all around are lured to gather together and spare no efforts to compete against each other and try to win a medal for the country that they represent. Frankly speaking, that was virtually all I knew about the world-famous Olympic Games before I had read a book entitled The Olympics published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. However, I found even more philosophy beyond just winning medals from reading the book, which was beyond my imagination and considerably inspiring.

Someone once said, “Were everybody on earth involved in some kind of sport, our world would be free of war for long.” Starting from three thousand years ago, the ancient Olympic Games has long been an event not only for competition but also for peace. In ancient times, no war was allowed between the cities during the Games, which was rather surprising to me since I could hardly imagine warriors actally putting down their weapons and give a break for peace. The precious tradition of peace continued: I would never fail to recall the scene of the opening ceremonies when North and South Korean athletes entering the stadium with their hands held together. The two neighboring countries that used to be enemies are no longer enemies during the Games. Instead they became friends. Speaking of the XX Athens Olympics, perhaps most people would have the same opinion that the most noable part of the opening ceremony arrived when Iraqi and Afghan representatives showed up. These two unfortunate nations, the people of which have undergone innumerable wars, are coming back again to take their own responsibility in world sports after recent invasions by America. The fearless people of Iraq and Afghanistan are once more sharing the spirit of the Games with people from the rest of the world.

There is another story in this book that makes me deep in thoughts. There is no doubt that the most unusual Olympic Games ever in history is the 1936 Olympics held in Germany, which was then ruled by the Nazi Party. Led by Adolf Hitler, the Nazi believed that the so-called Aryan people were superior to all others in all aspects. They looked down upon Jews and blacks, the latter of which was a major constitution of the United States Olympic team. Despite the barrier that faced him, the African American Jesse Owens, who was a most outstanding runner and jumper, did all that he could and finally won gold medals for his country and went home a hero. This reveals another fact that no power on earth is able to hinder the sacred Olympic Games. For all participants, no matter what their gender, race, nationalities and backgrounds are, equality is distributed among every one who observes the Game’s rules.

At the XX Athens Olympics, our Chinese team did extraordinarily well. We ranked second on the medal lists for the first time in history. In my opinion, however, we should not only concentrate on the figure of medals; instead the strength and perseverance of those who failed to get any medals ought to be highly cherished. Whether ever success or failure, whether ever cheer or tear, whether ever medal or not, the never-gave-up spirits of athletes are always motivating us. I believe in the year 2008, the world will focus all their attention to Beijing, China, where the glory of the Games will continue to thrive forever!
