January 21

It was cooler than yesterday. One of my father’s friends invited me to eat red bayberries. You must know it is unusual. Because we will climb the hill to eat red bayberries. There is no chance to eat red bayberries in the hill for the people who don’t live in Beijing. On the hill, you can breathe the fresh air, you can listen birds singing and you can eat red bayberries. Today I found time was a cruel thing. Whatever man is, time always goes on. It won’t stay to wait for somebody. You can’t use anything to exchange time. Time is also a fair thing. Although you have a lot of money or you enjoy high reputation, time won’t leave them more. Today I found I hadn’t enough time. Although I have 50-day holiday, but I found I had a lot of things to do. I have rested for 10 days. In these days, I felt very bored. I didn’t know to do what. Although I had a lot of things to do, I felt uncomfortable. I was ill because of the cold weather. Hong Kong and Macao are parts of China in history， but they were separated from the motherland for some political reasons。 China has been getting richer and stronger since its opening to the outside world。 On July 1， 1997， Hong Kong finally returned home。 On December 20， 1999， Macao returned home， too。 Great changes have taken place in both Hong Kong and Macao。 It shows the development and great strength of our country。

Taiwan is an intergral part of China。 The Chinese people as well as most of the people from Taiwan are looking forward to the day on which Taiwan will return home。 We are sure that day will come sooner or later。

I went to watch the movie Wolf warriors 2 today

I went to watch the movie Wolf warriors 2 today as I heard it was a big hit

in China. I am not the biggest fan of WuJing(the director and leading role of

the movie), but this movie he direct really impressed me. I have watched Wolf

Warrior which I would consider as a good movie, but II is way much better. It is

the first Chinese movie that is built on the context of African country and

actually shot in South Africa, bearing the risk of suffering the disturbance on

the set. The way the plot unfolds and the courage and patriotism is delivered to

its audience makes it more than a simple action movie. Love this movie and will

go for it a second time!

More than twenty years ago, my hometown was just a small , old and poor town. Most of people were farmers. There were few factories. The people didn’t have enough food to eat and wore old clothes. They had a hard life .

Great changes have taken place in the past twenty years . The people have found a lot of ways of making money . Now there are many tall buildings . They are very beautiful . Roads are wide and clean . People can take buses or drive their own cars to go to work . Many people have cell phones and personal computers. People’s living conditions have improved a lot . It was sunny and hot today.

I got up early at half past six. I read English and then had breakfast. I

Can Money Buy Happiness?

Can money buy happiness? Different people have different opinions. Some

think yes, while others hold the opposite.

It is true that with enough money one can buy all the things one wants, and

live a life of comfort and security. However, it is equally true that lack of

money causes great distress. It is a common view that "money is the root of all

evil." The pursuit of money drives many people to cheat and steal. In some

places there is nothing that cannot be bought with money, resulting in corrupt

societies where everybody is miserable.

So, money does not necessarily mean happiness. It all depends on how it is

used. If we make honest and sensible use of money, it can be a stepping-stone to

happiness l Although money cannot buy happiness, it can make happiness possible

Thursday, September 19th

After school yesterday afternoon, my brother and mother, with the speed of Shenzhou VI went straight to Changan by bus to go to the Sanshui station.

Today, my uncle and aunt took Hao with us to play in the Sanshui square.

Hao is saying to his uncle, "Dad, lets go to the game city on the third floor and play games, OK?" The uncle shook his head and said, "no, I cant do it."
