今天，应一位教授的邀请，我们参加了ETSU的毕业典礼、颁奖仪式，当然我们不是其中的一员，只是观众，所以还是叫“参观”比较合适吧。

其实，观摩这次毕业典礼的人数还是不少的。左右两侧的观众席上都坐了满了人。即便平常有什么比赛，好像也没这么多的人吧。参加毕业典礼的人也很多，这个毕业典礼不仅仅是为今天春季毕业的博士生和硕士生而举行的，本科生也是要参加的。听说今年ETSU的春季毕业生比较多，所以，按学院分别举行了上午和下午两场典礼仪式呢。我们参加的是今天下午的毕业典礼，会场气氛比较热烈，虽然每个人基本上都是在给自己的家人或朋友加油、欢呼。

首先是给博士们颁奖，博士毕业生不算多但也不算太少，大概有三十多个人吧。博士生们领奖的时候，间隔的时间是最长的，不仅读出了他们的名字，还把每个人的导师也读了出来。我想这些博士生应该是很骄傲的，即使他们在考博、读博的路上遇到很多艰辛与困难，但是一直坚守，坚定不放弃的信念，使他们最终做到了，达到了自己的目标。

其次是硕士生的颁奖。硕士生的颁奖时间稍短了一点，没有读出老师的名字，也没有像博士生一样让老师在脖子上带一个东西从背后垂下来，好像只是从主席台上拿到自己的毕业证书，就下去了。不过相比那些本科毕业生还好一点，因为他们比本科毕业生少，也比本科毕业生地位高一点吧。最后一一登上主席台的是本科毕业生。本科毕业生的间隔时间是最短的了。读了名字，接过证书，匆匆就下去了。

毕业典礼的时间持续了两个多小时，最后的程序也显得比较单一乏味了些，但是能够现场感受一下美国高校的毕业典礼或者说是颁奖典礼，也算是一种别样的体验吧。

我们祖国有悠久的历史，有着许多传统节日，还有一些各具特色的民风民俗。但我最喜欢的传统节日是：春节。除夕过了，春节也就到了，新的一年开始了。

I often go to see my grandma and grandpa during winter vacation. They are both seventy years old and live in the country happily. I can do many interesting things there.
