以前小河的水很清,清得可以看见河底的沙石.在河边常常可以看到来挑水的人们,他们把小河的水挑回去煮饭,饮用,也用小河水来灌溉农作物.过路的人累了,渴了,掏一把水喝,都不禁赞叹：“真甜!”当气候干旱时,它更成了人们的生命线,源源不断地提供着人们的生命之水；当有台风、暴雨、洪水时,它又成了泄洪的主要通道,保护着这一方人.那是它最自豪的时候.
