我在家里可是有名的书呆子，我看书有二傻：一入迷；二废寝忘食。

记得有一次，我正津津有味地看着《西游记》，妈妈说：“贝贝，妈妈要出去接姐姐了。”我头也不抬回了一句：“师父，前方有一股妖气，去不得呀！”“什么乱七八糟的呀？”，妈妈说完就出门了。等她接完姐姐的时候，妈妈说：“贝贝，我们回来了。”我又说：“师父，小心，此人是妖怪！”搞得妈妈哭笑不得。

更有趣的是，有一天，我正看着我最喜欢的书——《水浒传》。妈妈喊了一声：“快过来吃饭！”这时，我正看得入迷，没听见妈妈说什么。她又喊了一声，这回我听见了。但是我心不在焉，无意中竟拿起一块橡皮擦津津有味地吃了起来。妈妈见我迟迟没有反应，便冲进房间来一看，吓了一大跳，立刻把我书拿开。这时，我才恍然大悟，吐出来一看，自己吓傻了。

后来我明白了，读书也得合理安排时间，如果在错误的时间看书是没有效果的。多读书是有好处，你看“读书破万卷，下笔如有神！”闻名遐迩的诗人杜甫这样说过！
