Iraq is a part of the Middle East next to Iran Kuwait. It is very important to the rest of the world because of its underground petroleum fields. It is said that oil is industrial blood and for this reason perhaps the war started. It is undeniable that the worsening environment has become the biggest concern of the present-day world. Land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion. Waste gases poison the air we breathe. The rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in them from factories. It is probably no exaggeration to say that deterioration of the quality of the environment threatens the existence of mankind itself.

Some people are of the opinion that the environmental problem is the price we have to pay for economic development. But I do not think that this argument is valid. After all, what is the point of economic growth if peoples lives are adversely alfected by worsening environmental pollution?

There is plenty of evidence to show that sustainable development can be achieved by balancing economic growth with protection of the environment. The key to achieving this is to make people aware of the seriousness of the problem. Land ownership is also a reason that countries declare wars on their neighbors. 纪念，是为了传承历史与未来。此次阅兵，邀请抗战老同志乘车组成2个方队率先受阅。阅兵车上这些抗战老战士老同志，绝大多数已是白发苍苍的耄耋老人，就在昨天他们刚刚接受习近平主席颁发的荣誉奖章。有的老人向主席台挥舞着双手、有的敬着军礼、有的擦拭着眼角的泪花……。是啊，他们不仅仅是代表自己，他们所代表的，是抗战胜利的英雄，是无数战死沙场马革裹尸的英勇将士，是一支支战功累累的光荣部队，更是那一段不可磨灭的峥嵘历史。20位将军领队带领10个前身为八路军、新四军、东北抗联、华南游击队的现役英模部队方队，也迈着铿锵有力的步伐，昂首接受检阅。台下的年轻人和孩子，是国家的栋梁和未来，他们在这次阅兵不是旁观者，而是传承者，他们也将接受着庄严阅兵的洗礼，追忆历史、见贤思齐、奋发向上，进一步弘扬民族精神和时代精神,接过着维护正义和和平的接力棒，更好前行，努力实现中华民族伟大复兴，并使中国成为维护世界和平的中坚力量。

纪念，是为了沟通中国与世界。世界反法西斯战争的战火遍及亚洲、欧洲、非洲、大洋洲，军队和民众伤亡超过1亿人，是一次世界之战。在那场战争中，中国人民以巨大民族牺牲支撑起了世界反法西斯战争的东方主战场，伤亡人数超过3500万，为世界反法西斯战争胜利作出了重大贡献。70年前的今天，中国人民抗日战争取得伟大胜利，也是世界反法西斯战争的完全胜利之日。70年后的今天，中国作为爱好和平的世界大国，积极与各国开展交流合作，维护和平，共襄盛举。此次阅兵，共有30位国家元首、政府首脑等外国领导人，19位政府高级别代表，10位国际和地区组织负责人出席。17个外国国家方队、代表队参加阅兵，14个国家观摩团来华参加阅兵观礼，共同庆祝这一伟大的日子。

纪念，是为了传递和平与发展。纪念历史，是正视历史、尊重历史的表现。也只有正视历史，才能从历史中总结教训，从历史中获得新知，珍惜和平，和平发展。9·3阅兵不是炫耀，是实力的展现，是提醒别有用心的人，中国不惹事，但决不怕事。习近平书记在讲话中，提到“无论发展到哪一步，中国都永远不称霸、永远不搞扩张，永远不会把自身曾经经历过的悲惨遭遇强加给其他民族。”并且随后习书记庄严宣布”中国将裁减军队员额30万“。这足以表明一个有实力的泱泱大国是如何在世界的舞台上，用实际行动来捍卫和传递世界的和平。

历史是一面镜子，而纪念就是面镜反思。纪念中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利70周年,就是要铭记历史、缅怀先烈、珍爱和平、开创未来。
