The activity emerged during peoples enjoyment of lanterns in the Song Dynasty (960-1279). As riddle guessing is interesting and full of wisdom, it has become popular among all social strata.

People will eat yuanxiao, or rice dumplings, on this day, so it is also called the "Yuanxiao Festival."Yuanxiao also has another name, tangyuan. It is small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour with rose petals, sesame, bean paste, jujube paste, walnut meat, dried fruit, sugar and edible oil as filling. Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious. What’s more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar

pronunciation with "tuanyuan”, meaning reunion. So people eat them to denote union, harmony and happiness for the family.

In the daytime of the Festival, performances such as a dragon lantern dance, a lion dance, a land boat dance, a yangge dance, walking on stilts and beating drums while dancing will be staged. On the night, except for magnificent lanterns, fireworks form a

beautiful scene. Most families spare some fireworks from the Spring Festival and let them off in the Lantern Festival. Some local governments will even organize a fireworks party. 有一份简历,在几个同事间传阅,每一个人都啧啧做声。真的是高才生啊!科科成绩八十五分以上,还获得过无数大大小小的奖项,都是自己手写的,不过也是盖上了学校的证明事实属实的大印章。再认真看,那所谓的学院大字旁边还有一行小字,竟然是某某学院的函授分校下的一个点。不是说函授的就差,正规的我是相信的。但那一间下面又下面的,我们都太清楚内幕了。

负责收集简历的小美说,招聘会上人山人海,一股脑儿塞进来,看到那个什么学院的大名也就没注意那么多。小美也是去年招聘会上递交简历然后考试进来的。她的简历就做得很漂亮,女孩子大概就是心细点,连我们公司的名称她都在首页上注明了。虽然就是一栏开头的称谓,可是当时给我们的印象都很不错。在那么拥挤的时候,她有心应聘,当然会力求做得更好!

公司因为效益还不错,福利很好,每年来应聘的人无数。如果在简历上出彩一点,会更容易让人把它挑出来好好看看。这不是说需要像当前所谓流行的那些还附带写真相片的另类简历。如果不是模特公司,我想需要有实力员工的公司都不会真的把它当一回事情的,最多就是看着笑笑而已。

至少你要做得有你自己的特色在里面。还有一个封面的问题,基本上如果是相同一所学校的,那么都差不多是一样的,大概都是在同一家复印店做的吧。再翻开里面,全都是五六页纸,一张给公司领导的表决心,然后就是表格、成绩单、得过的证书。唉!怎么就没有点新意!

想起看到报纸上说有个人做了一份几百页的简历马上就被用工单位收下了,我真的很佩服,因为他的认真。

继续看,继续挑,现在找工作这么难,我得打起十二分精神。要不然说不定几时,我也会送简历给别人看了,还是好好捂着自己口袋用功看吧!

I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, P. R. China. Withtremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. Research experience and academic activity

When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulationprogram for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewagetreatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.
