The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. 离校门口正前方20米左右，立有一块刻着南丰二中校训“求精笃实”四个大红宇的仿石，用手抚摸它，凹凸不平的感觉还有些粗糙，这也许象征着求学之路的坎坷吧，而那涂着石青的校训又激励着我们奋发向上。

仿石的后面，是一处长方形的小绿化带，种植着丁香花、雏菊以及不很高大的灌木丛。同学们在努力学习感到劳累时能够欣赏眼前的这一美景，愉悦心情。

仿石左边，是一栋连体大楼，靠前的教学楼是第一教学楼，初一、初二的同学在这儿学习，而靠后的教学楼是初 三同学学习 的场所。这两座教学楼中间连体部分则是“尚儒阁”，“尚儒阁”的一楼是大厅，大厅正面的墙壁上书写着“让别人因为我的存在而感到幸福”的动人心魄的敬语，左右两面墙壁上分别绘有中国地图和世界地图，给人视野开阔、目光远大之感；二楼则是学生阅览室，阅览室宽敞明亮，书桌上整整齐齐摆放着各种书刊。课余时间，这里座无虚席，同学们安静地看着书，认真地做着笔记。这栋连体大楼的西侧是一座室内体育馆，主要是羽毛球和网球场地。仿石的右边，也是一栋连体大楼，右边是教学楼，是高中同学学习的场所，左边的是科技楼，有电脑房、画室、实验室与图书馆。两座连体大楼遥遥相对。大楼 外表颜色都是粉红色的，结构也大体呈“围”字形，均有五层60个教室，每一栋大楼四周都有一块草坪和一圈香樟树包围着，草坪上灌木丛勃勃生长。这一贴心的设计令人有种对仗工整的美感。

顺着仿石朝北向前笔直走150米左右，就到达旗坛。旗台中央高耸的旗杆上飘扬着五星红旗。旗坛正前方是一个能容纳5000多人的大广场。每当星期一的早晨，我们二中5000多师生齐聚一场，在这里举行庄严的升旗仪式。全校师生注视着冉冉升起的五星红旗，聆听着嘹亮的国歌声，接受着爱国主义思想的洗礼。旗台后面是一个长方形的大花园，高树与低树俯仰生姿。落叶树和常绿树相间，花晚不同的多种花树相间，这就一年四季不感到寂寞。

穿过旗坛后花园，就来到大操场，这里给人一种“柳暗花明又一村”的惊喜，平旷的大操场让花草树木塞得满满的视野一下子变得空旷了起来。大操场共有六个蓝球场，课余时间，篮球爱好者们便在这里展示自己的球技，良好的球技引得许多观众驻足观看。操场左边是三栋6层楼高的师生公寓。右边则是400米跑道的塑胶运动场，平时同学们的体育课和学校运动会都在这里举行。操场的正北面是一长方形小活动场，其间平列排着10台用混泥土砌成的乒乓球桌。小运动场的正北面就是两层楼的食鲎，可同时容纳1000人用餐。这就是我们美丽、和谐的校园-—一南丰二中。

n my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. I am proud of being a college student. I like my college life as it is so wonderful time in my youth. As being born in small village of the remote countryside, I didnt have a good education environment. However, I set a goal and felt confident to be a college student.
