Last Sunday my classmates and I went to Xiangshan Park.

We met at 7 oclock at the school gate. The weather in Beijing that day was

great. At around 8 oclock, we arrived at Xiangshan Park. There is a high tree

on the bottom of the hill. We had a party and played games under the tree. Then

we climbed to the top of Xiangshan Mountain. It was not very difficult for us to

do it. Next, we had lunch at the top of the hill. It was delicious. After lunch,

we saw some birds. They were friendly. And we saw a whole picture of Beijing.

"What a beautiful city!" I said. At that moment, we all felt so proud. I live in

Beijing now. The 2008 Olympic games was held here.

Here is a difference between science and technology.Science is a method of

answering theoretical questions; technology is a method of solving practical

problems. Science has to do with discovering the facts and relationships between

observable phenomena in nature and with establishing theories that serve to

organize these facts and relationships; technology has to do with

tools,techniques, and procedures for implementing the findings of science.

Another distinction between science and technology has to do with the

progress in each. Progress in science excludes the human factor. Scientists, who

seek to comprehend the universe and know the truth with the highest degree of

accuracy and certainty, cannot pay heed to their own or other peoples likes or

dislikes, or to popular ideas about the fitness of things. What scientists

discover may shock or anger people--as did Darwins theory of evolution. But

even an unpleasant truth is more than likely to be useful; besides, we have the

option of refusing to believe it! But hardly so with technology;we do not have

the option of refusing to hear the sonic boom produced by a supersonic

aircraft-flying overhead; we do not have the option of refusing to breathe

polluted air. Unlike science, progress in technology must be our slave and not

the reverse. The legitimate purpose of technology is to serve peopie--people in

general, not merely some people; and future generations, not merely those who

presently wish to gain advantage for themselves.

We are all familiar with the abuses of technology. Many people blame

technology itself for widespread pollution, resource depletion and even social

decay in general--so much so that the promise of technology is obscured. That

promise is a cleaner and healthier world. If wise applications of science and

technology do not lead to a better world, what else will?

With the harsh competition in todays society, more and more people

complain about their stress in their daily life. Stress mainly comes from our

work, study and families. When we feel stressed, we often have bad moods on the

day and cant sleep well at night. Thats too bad for our health. To help ease

stress, some good ways are suggested. Firstly, we can chat with our parents and

friends. Maybe they can give us some good advice. Secondly, we ought to do some

exercise, which can help us have a nice sleep at night. Moreover, we are

根据省教育厅假期安排有关要求，结合我市实际和传统节日时间，现就2021年全市普通中小学假期时间安排有关工作通知如下。

一、统一安排假期时间

(一)寒假：义务教育阶段学校具体时间为2021年1月30日(腊月十八)至2月28日(正月十七)，3月1日(正月十八)开学;普通高中学校具体时间为2021年2月6日(腊月廿五)至2月28日(正月十七)，3月1日(正月十八)开学。

(二)暑假：义务教育阶段学校具体时间为2021年7月3日至8月29日，8月30日开学;普通高中学校具体时间为2021年7月10日至8月29日，8月30日开学。

(三)公共节假日：原则上按照国务院办公厅关于2021年部分节假日安排的通知执行。

(四)因特殊情况需要调整寒暑假安排的县区，须提前按规定程序审批和备案。严禁随意增减假期时间。学校因学业水平考试、中考和高考等设置考点考试、寄宿制、农忙假期等原因确需调整的，可结合实际安排调休，但调休时间要保证国家规定的放假天数，调休的时间安排应提前向社会公示并经县区教育行政部门批准报市教育局备案。

二、相关工作要求

(一)统筹做好疫情防控工作。各县区各学校要深刻认识今冬明春疫情防控形势的严峻性，牢牢守住教育系统疫情防线，开展多种形式的常见传染病防治和知识宣传教育活动，开展校园爱国卫生运动，倡导文明、绿色、健康生活方式，及早谋划寒假和春季开学安排，统筹常态化疫情防控和教学工作。学校可根据实际采取“错峰”措施，安排学生分批次有序离校返校，妥善安排留校师生寒假生活。守牢学校大门，加强寒假期间人员的出入管控，严格实行“测温+亮码+身份核实”的访客登记制度。学校体育设施暂停对外开放。要在驻地应对新冠肺炎疫情联防联控机制(领导小组、指挥部)指导下，及早谋划2021年春季学期开学工作，适时发布本地本校春季学期开学安排。有效落实学生每天1小时以上的体育锻炼时间，继续保持勤洗手、“一米线”、防集聚、戴口罩、保持社交距离等良好习惯。强化源头管控，要求离校师生员工不到国内外疫情重点区域，教育师生减少走亲访友、减少聚餐活动，坚持“非必要不外出”，原则上不跨省出行，如确需离鲁的，须向学校报备。

(二)统筹做好放假前各项工作。各县区教育行政部门要对中小学校放假前的各项工作进行检查、指导。各中小学校要成立假期工作领导小组，制定详细的假期工作安排，明确任务，责任到人，确保落实。要组织全体教师学习好《新时代中小学教师职业行为十项准则》、《中小学教师违反职业道德行为处理办法(2018年修订)》、《山东省对违规从事普通中小学办学行为责任追究办法》(省政府令第255号)和《菏泽市教育局

(三)科学指导学生假期生活。各县区教育行政部门和中小学校要深入学习宣传党的十九大精神，以社会主义核心价值观为引领安排好学生精神文化生活，认真贯彻省、市“减负”工作的部署，严格控制学生寒假作业总量。小学低年级不布置书面假期作业，让学生真正度过一个愉快、祥和的寒假。立足于丰富假期生活、增强实践能力、培养创新精神、促进健康成长，为学生提供系统科学的假期生活指导。要加强革命传统教育、创新教育、实践教育、传统文化教育和劳动教育，指导学生通过开展研学旅行、职业体验、志愿服务、劳动体验等途径拓展视野、丰富知识，增强社会适应能力、社会责任感和公民意识。本着就近、方便、安全的原则，学校可适当布置一些科技、文化、艺术、体育、家政等实践活动，参与宣传垃圾分类、制止餐饮浪费和文明城市创建的社会调查和社区服务。要合理安排作业，布置一些能够激发兴趣、开阔视野、锻炼意志的开放性作业，着眼于培养学生的探究能力和实践能力，切实减轻学生课业负担。要支持学生社团活动，向服务区域内的中小学生开放学校的图书馆、艺术教室、体育场馆和实验室等活动设施，为学生自主探究和实践活动提供帮助。要充分发挥校外活动场所、图书馆、博物馆、展览馆、体育馆等公共资源优势，为学生提供内容丰富、形式多样、多种可选的活动项目，吸引更多学生参与。要教育学生自觉坚持体育锻炼和注意用眼卫生，严格控制使用电子产品的时间,每次持续时间不要超过30分钟，每天累计不能超过2小时。要加强与社区和家长合作，建立学校、社区和家庭“三位一体”的假期工作体系。

(四)严格规范学校假期工作。假期期间，各县区教育行政部门和中小学校要严格执行省、市关于开展中小学校违规补课、在职教师有偿家教专项整治工作有关规定。不得以任何理由组织学生集体到校上课(包括网上统一上课)、补课或统一组织自习，不得以任何形式参与、组织学生参加各类辅导培训班，禁止学校联合或将校舍租借给社会力量办学机构用于开办补习班、培训班。严禁中小学校为校外培训机构有偿补课提供教育教学设施或学生信息;严禁在职中小学教师组织、推荐和诱导学生参加校内外有偿补课;严禁在职中小学教师参加校外培训机构或由其他教师、家长、家长委员会等组织的有偿补课;严禁在职中小学教师为校外培训机构和他人介绍生源、提供相关信息。各教育行政部门、各中小学校要落实责任，通过明查暗访、设立公开监督举报电话、邮箱等方式，接受社会监督，对有禁不止、违规从事有偿补课的学校和教师，依法依规予以严肃查处。

(五)做好假期安全教育和安全保障工作。各县区教育行政部门和中小学校要认真贯彻《山东省学校安全条例》，牢固树立安全责任意识，高度重视学生的安全教育和学校安全工作，制定假期安全工作实施方案和应急预案，完善安全措施,落实安全责任,切实把安全工作做足、做细、做实。各中小学校要及时做好对校舍及设施设备的检查、维护、改造和修缮工作，对存在安全隐患的切实做好整改。要坚持校园值班制度和信息报告制度，如遇紧急情况要及时准确上报，并迅速采取有效措施妥善应对和处置，维护假期校园秩序和安全。要通过召开班会和家长会、上安全教育课、发放宣传资料等多种形式认真开展放假前安全教育，特别要加强学生和家长进行预防交通事故、火灾、食物中毒、一氧化碳中毒、触电、传染病、溺水、冰上安全事故及传销和防止被盗、被抢、被诈骗案件发生等方面的安全知识教育，提高学生的安全意识和自防自救能力。教育学生遵守烟花爆竹禁燃的有关规定，不得参与赌博和变相赌博，不搞迷信活动，不看不健康的书刊，不沉迷于网络游戏。各校要在放假前以“给家长的一封信”等形式，要求家长做好子女的安全教育和监护。教师要利用假期，有计划地开展家访活动。

(六)做好控辍保学及特殊群体关爱工作。各县区教育行政部门和中小学校要认真落实市政府办公室《关于进一步加强控辍保学提高义务教育巩固水平的通知》(菏政办发〔2018〕53号)要求，关注学困生、厌学学生动向，突出抓好重点学段和重点时段，落实书面报告制度，全力做好劝返工作。要利用假期组织教师重点对留守儿童、进城务工人员随迁子女、贫困家庭学生等进行一次全面家访，交流相关情况，引导家长关注孩子心理健康，帮助孩子养成良好行为习惯，切实履行监护职责。

(七)统筹做好开学前准备工作。要做好学校财产整理、校舍修缮工作,切实加强安全保卫工作，安排好值班人员，落实安全责任制，做好防火、防盗工作。要利用寒假做好下学期开学的各项准备工作，确保新学期顺利开学。

Although MCEA would like to see Palo Alto public schools implement the first bilingual Chinese kindergarten class in September of 2006, we have learned that the school district must take the time to understand how a new program will affect existing educational offerings, and to validate community interest. Nevertheless, MCEA, with more than 70 members, will continue to actively promote bilingual Chinese education in the Palo Alto public schools and will keep you apprised of the progress we make.

I was born in a neither rich and nor poor family, and my parents can give me what I want. But they are strict to me. If I waste food and water, my mother will criticize me. To support the family, my father works very hard and he sacrifices a lot time to make money. So I realize the money comes not easy and won’t waste anything.

我出生在一个普通家庭，既不富裕也不贫穷，我的父母总能为我提供我想要的东西。但是他们对我管得比较严格。如果我浪费食物和水，妈妈就会批评我。为了支撑这个家，爸爸非常努力的工作，他牺牲很多时间来赚钱。所以我知道钱是来得不容易的，不会随意浪费。

As we all realized that every one of us will fail during our life. Take me

for an example, I fail in my exam. In fact, failure always does appear, which

also means that failure is a daily occurrence, however, when facing the failure,

different people have different attitudes.

Some people hold the view that failure is the meaning whenever they could

not be successful. Thus, if meeting with failure, they will feel so nervous that

they have no idea what they are supposed to do. As time goes by, they become

more and more dispirited while eventually, they could do nothing well.

On the contrary, there are some people tending to believe another idea.

From their point of view, failure is outstanding due to the fact that it can

give them plenty of encouragement. Therefore, if facing failure, they will be

quite courageous and then try their best to beat it, finally, they make their

dream come true.

From my perspective, failure is neither an excellent thing nor an

appreciating thing. Sometimes, it is capable to offer us with encouragement,

however, it can also make us unconfident now and then. Thus, if encountering the

failure, never could we be scared. What we should do is to face it bravely and

never give up.

In summary, I wish when failure appears, each one of us could confront with

it bravely and beat it, if possible.
