感恩节的由来可以追溯到美国历史的发端，起源于马萨诸塞普利茅斯的早期移民。这些移民在英国本土时被称为清教徒，因为他们对英国教会的宗教改革不彻底感到不满，以及英王及英国教会对他们的政治镇压和宗教迫害，所以这些清教徒脱离英国教会，远走荷兰，后来决定迁居到大西洋彼岸那片荒无人烟的土地上，希望能按照自己的意愿信教自由地生活。

1620年，著名的“五月花”号船满载不堪忍受英国国内宗教迫害的清教徒102人到达美洲。1620年和1621年之交的冬天，他们遇到了难民送来了生活必需品，还特地派人教他们怎样狩猎、捕鱼和种植玉米、南瓜。在印第安人的帮助下，移民们终于获得了丰收，在欢庆丰收的日子，按照宗教传统习俗，移民规定了感谢上帝的日子，并决定为感谢印第安人的真诚帮助，邀请他们一同庆祝节日。

1621年11月下旬的星期四，清教徒们和马萨索德带来的90名印第安人欢聚一堂，庆祝美国历史上第一个感恩节。他们在黎明时鸣放礼炮，列队走进一间用作教堂的屋子，虔诚地向上帝表达谢意，然后点起篝火举行盛大宴会，将猎获的火鸡制成美味佳肴盛情款待印第安人。第二天和第三天又举行了摔跤、赛跑、唱歌、跳舞等活动 。男性清教徒外出打猎、捕捉火鸡，女人们则在家里用玉米、南瓜、红薯和果子等做成美味佳肴。就这样，白人和印第安人围着篝火，边吃边聊，还载歌载舞，整个庆祝活动持续了三天 。第一个感恩节的许多庆祝方式一直流传后代 。

母亲节，一个感谢母亲的节日。母亲节最早出现在古希腊。20__年12月，中国民协节徽文化委员会等组织将农历的四月初二，也就是孟母生孟子这一天定为中华母亲节目前所知最早的母亲节起源于古希腊。在这一天，古希腊人向希腊众神之母赫拉致敬。其后--世纪中叶，节日流传到英国。在这一天里，出门在外的年青人会返家，送给母亲一些小礼物;而现代母亲节由美国安娜·贾维斯发起，定为每年5月的第二个星期日。母亲们在这一天通常会收到礼物，康乃馨被视为献给母亲的花，而中国的母亲花是萱草花，又叫忘忧草。

大人们没有我们年轻人爱闹事，从来不记得这些洋节日，而我们就喜欢在日历上标记各种节日，母亲节这一天我打算给妈妈一个惊喜，对于没钱的穷学生，我有的就是一双手了。让妈妈歇息一天，这就是我想干的。偷偷定了闹钟，早上醒来打开炉子，坐上锅，下米，开始择菜，洗好的菜花像是在赞美我，说我是一个懂事的好孩子。利利索索收拾好一切，粥也熬好了，香喷喷的菜，实在是佩服我自己，给自己加油，今天的家务就归妈妈的小棉袄我啦!趁着妈妈洗脸的功夫，扫扫地，到了垃圾，妈妈看见锅里的饭时吓了一跳，嘿嘿，我高兴地对妈妈说母亲节快乐，妈妈也笑着夸我越来越懂事了。

送给母亲的礼物不一定要昂贵，不一定要漂亮，用心就好，也祝天下的母亲永远快乐安康。

那是在一个晴朗的早晨，我们正在安安静静地听老师讲课。忽然，下起了倾盆大雨。是不是云爸爸和云妈妈吵架了，小雨点们都悄悄地溜了出来。“糟糕！”我差点叫了起来，我还没有带雨伞呢！

很快就放学了，我先和同学共伞，走出了校门。我十分焦急，忽然，我看到了妈妈的身影，因为妈妈是一个近视眼，她找不到我，在那儿东看西看也十分焦急，我想：“妈妈真辛苦，这么大的雨，还来接我。”我加快了脚步，走到了妈妈面前，对妈妈说：“妈妈，我在这儿呢！”妈妈转过身来，对我说：“冷吗，可别着凉了。我们快回家吧！”我点了点头。说完，妈妈就拉着我的手，向家走去。

今天是五月九日，是母亲节。想起昨天发生的事，心里久久不能平静。或许是我太任性，太不理解妈妈的良苦用心了吧!

昨天下午妈妈休班，她要看着我写作业。说实在的我非常讨厌妈妈休班，因为妈妈在家里我就失去了自我，她总是要求我做这做那的，给我布置的任务满满的，让我一刻钟也停不下来。唉!我就想不明白，她们没有过少儿时期吗?怎么就这么不理解我们呢?这不，我正在做数学作业，刚写完两个算式，妈妈就开腔了：“你看看你写的字又瘦又小，字与字之间也不留点缝隙，你看人家别的孩子都写那方方正正的正楷字，多大气呀!你就不会学学人家呀?再看这算式能先写那百位数吗?跟你说过多少回了，就是不改。学习是扎扎实实的事，不能浮躁。”我一直压住心头的火气忍着，真不争气，我一下子又把算式写错了。妈妈吼叫着：“你怎么又写错了?”说着就在我的背上打了一巴掌，我哭了。妈妈扔下一句话：“你自己做吧!”转身出了书房。

望着妈妈出去的身影，我不敢相信眼前的这个人就是我的妈妈，妈妈竟这样无情。从六岁开始，凡是我自己能做的事情，妈妈都要我自己做。我越想越伤心，趴在枕头上痛哭起来。一会儿我爬起来，堵着气很快就把作业写完了。从下午到晚上我都没有理妈妈。晚饭后，妈妈拉着我的手说：“孩子，对不起，我的态度不好，不应该那样严厉的训斥你。请原谅，都是妈妈的错!我低着头没说话，可是当我静下心来一想，妈妈在生活、学习各方面从严要求我，从小就教育我自己的事情自己做，培养我自理、自立的能力，有什么不好?我的许多好习惯都是妈妈严格要求的结果啊!我应该感谢妈妈才对，而不应该记恨她。

今天是母亲节，我抱起妈妈亲吻了她的脸颊，并且大声的对妈妈说：“妈妈，节日快乐!这是女儿送给您的节日礼物!”妈妈搂着我开心的笑了。
