The seasonal round cakes traditionally have a sweet filling of lotus seed paste or red bean paste and often have one or more salted duck eggs in the center to represent the moon. And the moon is what this celebration is all about. Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th month，it is the time when the moon is said to be at its brightest and fullest.

There are two legends which claim to explain the tradition of eating mooncakes. One Tang Dynasty myth holds that the Earth once had 10 suns circling it. One day all 10 suns appeared at once，scorching the planet with their heat. It was thanks to a skillful archer named Hou Yi that the Earth was saved. He shot down all but one of the suns. As his reward，the Heavenly Queen Mother gave Hou Yi the Elixir of Immortality，but she warned him that he must use it wisely. Hou Yi ignored her advice and，corrupted by fame and fortune，became a tyrannical leader. Chang-Er，his beautiful wife， could no longer stand by and watch him abuse his power so she stole his Elixir and fled to the moon to escape his angry wrath. And thus began the legend of the beautiful woman in the moon，the Moon Fairy.

The second legend has it that during the Yuan Dynasty，an underground group led by Zhu Yuan Zang was determined to rid the country of Mongolian dominance. The moon cake was created to carry a secret message. When the cake was opened and the message read，an uprising was unleashed which successfully routed the Mongolians. It happened at the time of the full moon，which，some say，explains why mooncakes are eaten at this time. Mooncakes are usually stamped with Chinese characters indicating the name of the bakery and the type of filling used. Some bakeries will even stamp them with your family name so that you can give personalised ones to friends and family. They are usually presented in boxes of four which indicate the four phases of the moon. Traditional mooncakes are made with melted lard，but today vegetable oil is more often used in the interests of health. Mooncakes are not for the diet-conscious as they are loaded with calories. The best way to wash down one of these sticky cakes is with a cup of Chinese tea，especially Jasmine or Chrysanthemum tea，which aids the digestion.

中秋节那天，我赏月，吃烧烤，和一大群表兄弟一起玩得很开心。即使幸福的时光总会结束，家人那么舍不得分开，我还是想开心的说，下一个中秋——见!嫦娥和月图期待明年再见面!

中秋节那天，我放学回到家，妈妈告诉我说，她在路上，看到广场上摆了许多桌子，估计今天晚上有晚会看。

我回到房间，抓紧时间做作业，因为妈妈说做完作业才能去看晚会。我飞快的挥着笔，终于在妈妈做好饭之前把作业写完了，我高兴得没法形容。爸爸回来了，我们一家开始吃晚饭，我问爸爸去不去看晚会，爸爸说去，我乐得脸上笑开了花。

吃完晚饭，我们就走出家门去广场了。路上，我们有说有笑。后来，爸爸看了一下手表，说：“时间不早了，我们快点走吧!”于是我们加快了脚步，很快，我们就走到了广场。那里已经全部布置好了。我看到广场中间放着一排排整齐的桌椅，上面放着各种水果：桔子、香蕉、苹果、柿子，还有瓜子。当然，桌子上还少不了放着月饼。广场周围围了一根白线。白线那里还站着几位民警。他们在放哨，维持秩序。房子上挂了一盏又一盏灯笼。走道上都挤满了人。啊，好热闹啊!

我们好不容易找到了一处地方，站在那里等着中秋节晚会的开始。导游领着各地游客入席了。外地的游客来得还真不少，有新加坡的、香港的、马来西亚的……

过了好久，晚会终于开始了。这时，台上出来了一男一女两个主持人。他们先向游客问好，然后说了一段话，最后宣布武术表演开始。只见一位表演者两脚一翻，双手握拳，一阵拳打脚踢，一套武术便表演完了。观众们立刻鼓掌表示赞赏。接着表演的是舞单刀，只见那单刀挥舞起来好象只有一个影子。不一会儿，单刀表演结束了。接着，上场的人有表演舞双刀的、有表演舞金箍棒的、有表演双打的，那舞金箍棒的可真是绝了，那个人大概四十出头，是一位有点年纪的人。他拿着金箍棒舞动转圈，又在身体周围转圈，竟然用一根细小的手指转动那根金箍棒。他的表演博得了观众一阵又一阵的热烈喝彩声。

武的玩完了，又来玩文的。主持人说：“光台上精彩还不够好，台下也要来点儿精彩的才算好。”说着他请两位游客来了一个男女合唱。接着，一个游客上台唱了一首《十五的月亮》。接下来台下观众中有些人上台去表演了一个大合唱。

最后，投资总裁亲手抽出了一、二、三等奖，还有一个特等奖。发奖后，由一些阿姨们表演了一个她们精心准备的舞蹈《大丰收》。这一个快乐的晚会在音乐声中落幕了。

回家的路上，因为刚才站太久，我的脚有点麻又有点痛，但想到看到这样好看的中秋节晚会，就觉得值得了。我想以后如果还有这样的机会我还是会去参加的。

今天是中秋节，又叫团圆节，爸爸终于放假休息了。

上午，我和爸爸妈妈在奥体中心玩。奥体中心的路很舒服，路边都是树，树叶还很多，能帮我们遮住太阳。运动场上有很多人，他们有的打球，也有在训练打球，有的在跳操，有的在玩运动器械，不时的发出很爽朗的笑声。大家都很开心的样子。

下午，我们一起参加了家族聚餐。好多人，好多菜，还有大月饼和红酒。大人们喝酒聊天，我们小孩子们吃东西呀，玩游戏呀，讨论奥数题什么的，非常热闹!

晚上，一家子去“南京眼“赏月，天气真好，月亮又圆又大，真的像一个玉盘一样挂在空中。我们对着月亮作出各种姿势照相，有抱着的，有捧着的、有用手指捏着的，还有望着月亮做思考的样子，特别好玩。然后大人们给我们讲中秋的故事，让我们背诵与月亮有关的诗句，我很好奇的问，怎么看不见嫦娥和玉兔?大人们乐了，说这么多人看，他们害羞地躲起来了。然后让大家都来看我，我也害羞地跑了……

真是快乐的中秋节呀!

Today, Chinas economy has made the great achievement. More and more

foreign people come to China to seek for cooperation. It is true that peoples

life standard has been improved a lot during the last decades, but the

environment has been polluted badly. When I was very small, I could see the

green trees and clean water around my hometown, but now, the river becomes

smaller and the rubbish can be seen everywhere. I feel so sad about it. We have

sacrificed so much to chase the profit. If we cant save the environment, we

wont live the comfortable life. For us, we should not throw away the rubbish

and plant more trees. The little things we do will make a great difference.
