In China, Mid-autumn Day is considered to be a symbol of family reunion. On this day, all the family members gather together at home to celebrate this special occasion. Last year, I could not celebrate the festival with my family because I was in university. However, this special day left a deep impression on me.

黄缘盒龟又叫断板龟，体型小巧，背甲呈圆形，颜色丰富多彩，侧面是黄色，头顶是橄榄油色。当头尾及四肢缩入壳内时，腹甲与背甲能紧密地合上，故名为"黄缘盒龟"。在展厅里，黄缘盒龟的价格可不小，贵则600元多，便宜则150元多。

黄喉拟水龟又叫南种石金龟，龟甲长大约15～20厘米，头小，头顶平滑，是橄榄绿色，头侧有两条黄色线纹穿过眼部，喉部是淡黄色的。背甲扁平，是棕黄色。腹甲黄色，每一块盾片外侧有大墨渍斑。四肢较扁，外侧棕灰色，内侧黄色，前肢五趾，后肢四趾。爸爸买了两只黄喉的龟苗，价格也不便宜，一只要145元左右。展览会还有狗狗专区，猫咪专区，还有一些可怕的爬行动物，如：蜘蛛、蛇等等。

中秋节的来历知道了，那我们为什么要吃月饼呢?原来中秋节吃月饼相传始于元代。当时，中原广大人民不堪忍受元朝统治阶级的残酷统治，纷纷起义抗元。朱元璋联合各路反抗力量准备起义。但朝庭官兵搜查的十分严密，传递消息十分困难。军师刘伯温便想出一计策，命令属下把藏有“八月十五夜起义”的纸条藏入饼子里面，再派人分头传送到各地起义军中，通知他们在八月十五日晚上起义响应。到了起义的那天，各路义军一齐响应，起义军如星火燎原。很快，徐达就攻下元大都，起义成功了。消息传来，朱元璋高兴得连忙传下口谕，在即将来临的中秋节，让全体将士与民同乐，并将当年起兵时以秘密传递信息的“月饼”，作为节令糕点赏赐群臣。此后，“月饼”制作越发精细，品种更多，大者如圆盘，成为馈赠的佳品。以后中秋节吃月饼的习俗便在民间流传开来。

I think there are not too many people can reject the temptation of it. I like this festival very much. I have two reasons.

First of all, Mid-autumn has the deep meaning of reunion. In China, people regard Mid-autumn day as very important, so no matter where they are, they will come back to their family if there is a chance. They don’t like celebrate this festival outside, which will make them feel lonely. Thus, they will go home by all means. Secondly, every family will prepare a big meal on that day. All the food is delicious. It is good to have a big meal. I think nobody will not interested in delicious food. The mooncake is a necessary decoration forMid-autumn day. It tastes good, too. It is the tradition for a long time. How pleased to enjoy the glorious full moon with mooncake!

八月中旬，既是凉爽的金秋佳季，也是万家企盼团圆的日子――中秋节。

这天清晨，我早早起床，将一天的钢琴练习全部存入了早晨的时光中。大约中午十一点四十五分，我们接着姑妈一家，驱车到达了奶奶家。刚下车，妈妈就打开后备箱摸索着，随后，我们几个人就大包小包地压在了身上。我还额外扛了一箱啤酒。

弟弟极具冒险精神，还没等我们把他扶到椅子上。他先跑到电脑屋去招呼妹妹玩电脑去了。他今天手气不错，反正看着比以往熟练多了。然后我们又看了老半天电视，就疯到晚上六点十四分了。爷爷奶奶就赶紧忙着做饭，爸妈、叔叔婶婶、姑姑姑父也赶去帮忙。我和妹妹就去楼下的超市买熟食。

不知不觉中，夜幕悄悄降临了。街边顿时热闹起来，大家陆陆续续在家门口摆放桌子，供上月饼、柚子、板栗、苹果等等好吃的东西。“拜月亮”正式开始了：大家有说有笑，谈天论地，好一番热闹非凡的情景。我们一家老老少少兴高采烈的围在桌子旁，大人们在聊天，小孩子在嬉戏玩耍，一副其乐融融幸福生活的画面。我自告奋勇的为大家演讲中秋节的由来——“嫦娥奔月”的神话故事。我绘声绘色的讲，大家聚精会神的听。讲到难过之处我也黯然神伤，人物的悲欢离合恍若在眼前。后羿和嫦娥本来是对郎才女貌的恩爱夫妻，过着幸福美满的生活。由于心怀鬼胎的逢蒙的使坏，后羿和嫦娥分开了，一个在月球孤苦伶仃，一个在地球苦苦思念。这个悲惨的故事让我们非常痛心，为他们的不幸遭遇唏嘘不已。我们要更加珍惜现在亲人团聚的美好生活。

“月亮出来了！月亮出来了！”循声望去，只见月亮从树梢后面像一个害羞的小姑娘一样悄悄的探出一张圆圆的脸，“啊！太美了！”我惊呼道。虽然有人说：十五的月亮十六圆，但我还是觉得现在的月亮最圆。我认真仔细的观察着月亮，未见传说中的“嫦娥”，只见月亮旁边飘过几朵洁白无瑕的云。在这些白云的衬托下、月亮显得格外明亮，仿佛要把大地照得跟白天一样明亮。我看见白云在飘，月亮也在匆忙赶路，难道他们还要到别的地方接受祝福吗？我寻思着。

正在我独自沉思的时候，爸爸给我们讲了人类对月球的探索：1969年美国的阿波罗11号飞船首次载了3名宇航员成功登上月球，他们在月球上采集了岩石和土壤，还安装了月震仪呢！我们中国科学家也正在努力，希望早日实现宇航员登上月球考察，我觉得这些科学家们真了不起，我很佩服他们的智慧和胆量，我暗暗发誓我也要好好学习知识，将来为建设祖国贡献一份力量。

这个中秋节让我增长了很多见识，是一个难忘而有意义的节日。时间过得飞快！转眼间已经到了深夜，我带着美好的心愿进入了甜美的梦乡。

Last week, our teacher gave us a task. We needed to interview some people

and collect different opinions. At first, I felt it a difficult task, because I

was such a shy person that I dared not to talk to strangers. In order to finish

the task, I cooperated with my classmates. They helped me to ask people for a

second, then I started to talk with them in a comfortable way. I felt much eased

soon and no longer felt shy. Now I get over my fear and become stronger. This is

the good sign of growing up. I am so thankful to my classmates. Without their

help, I wont go that far.

我的脑海就像一片沙滩，而一件事就像一粒沙子;我的脑海就像一片星空，而一件事就像一颗星星;我的脑海就像一片大海，而一件事就像一滴水。我在“沙滩”、“星空”、“大海”中找出了那件难忘的事。

那件难忘的事就是中秋节。

中秋节的前一个星期，各大商店、超市就开始售卖各式各样的月饼。

中秋节的晚上，天边的那轮明月十分的圆，就像一个圆溜溜的月饼一样。

许多人都会在中秋节的那天晚上，带上月饼，和自己的家人一同去爬山，在山顶一边赏月，一边吃着美味的月饼。

还记得，在很久以前的一次中秋节的早晨有这样一件事：

在早上，我刚刚起床，就听见了妈妈的说话声：“今天晚上我们家准备举行登山赏月的活动，请各位带好月饼和水瓶，准备好一切物品，我们就出发!”听完，我一蹦三尺高，十分兴奋。

到了晚上，我们带好月饼和水，就出发了。在路上，我还看见了许多和我们有一样想去爬山的人，他们也各自带着自己的家人和必须物品。

“呼!终于到了!”我在山脚下说，“啊!这山也太高了吧”我抬头看了看山说。忽然，我听到了一个熟悉的声音，是同学，他说：“---X，你不会嫌这个山太高了，所以不想爬吧!嘻嘻。”“才不是呢，我现在就爬给你看!”我嘟着嘴说。“来，我们比一比吧!”“好哇!谁怕谁!”

于是，我们就开始爬山了。

在刚开始爬的时候，我还在想：这山也不难爬呀，挺轻松的呀!可是，当我爬到了山腰上时，我已经气喘吁吁了，我就想放弃了，可当我想起，刚刚看到的那一幕：许许多多的老奶奶和老爷爷也在爬山。于是，我立马摆脱了这种放弃的想法，并立马鼓起劲来，迅速的往山顶上爬。

……

“终于到山顶了!”我气喘吁吁的说。我和家人打开月饼一边看着圆滚滚的明月，一边吃着月饼，看着看着，我不禁想起一句古诗”今夜月明人尽望，不知秋思落谁家”。

中秋节，这个在我脑海中的“一粒沙子”、“一颗星星”、“一滴水”，可真令人难忘!

Christmas Day is very popular around the world, when that day comes, we can

see the Christmas products sell everywhere, though Christmas Day is not

originating from China, in our country, more and more people spend that day. A

foreigner pointed out that Christmas meant to be grateful for them, while for

Chinese people, it was just a day for celebrating. To me, Christmas indeed means

a day to have fun.

When I was small, I did not have the concept of Christmas, because in my

mind, I only knew Chinese traditional festivals, I liked Spring Festival best, I

could get a lot of money from parents. When I went to high school, all of my

friends would talk about Christmas Day when the day was near, so I started to

know it. Almost every young people like Christmas, but if you ask them what the

meaning of the day, less of them can answer.

The meaning of Christmas Day is to remind people of Jesus’s birth, it is so

important for the western people, but for me, I only want to have fun, everyone

is celebrating it, so I join them, being happy, that’s enough for me.
