Mothers Day Mother’s Day is a holiday when children honor their mothers with

cards, gifts and flowers. In many countries, such as Denmark, Finland, Italy,

Turkey, Australia and the US, people cel lebrate Mother’s Day on the second

Sunday in May while many other countries of the world celebrate their own

Mother’s day at different times through out the year.

One of the best ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is to give your mom the day

off. Let her relax with the rest of the family doing all the housework. Usually,

dad and the kids will let mom sleep late that morning as they go into the

kitchen to prepare her favourite breakfast. Never forget to place a vase with a

single flower on the table beside the food. The kids can pick up the flower from

the garden or buy one from the shop. Arrange everything nicely before mom wakes

up. Some families will carry the food and mom’s favourite sections from the

newspaper to her bedroom so that mom can have breakfast in bed. Presents and

cards from the kids can be handed to mom by themselves or just placed on the

dining table.

After breakfast, go anywhere mom likes to go. Shopping, swimming or going on

great meal in a famous restaurant she loves most.

Trees are very useful to people. They provide us with wood and other

products. They give us shade and they help to prevent drought and floods.

Unfortunately， in many parts of our country， people havent realized the

importance of trees. They cut them down at will. They are usually too lazy or

too careless to plant and look after new trees. As a result， the forests

continue to disappear.

Where there are no trees the rain falls on the surface， causing floods， and

During these two years, we have seen many movies about the youth, the

thinking about their days in the school. As for me, when I see the movie, I will

think about my high school days, it was so unforgettable for me, my friends and

I want to grow up as soon as possible. When I grow up, I can do many things

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festivity for both the Han and minority nationalities. The custom of worshipping the moon can be traced back as far as the ancient Xia and Shang Dynasties . In the Zhou Dynasty, people hold ceremonies to greet winter and worship the moon whenever the Mid-Autumn Festival sets in. It becomes very prevalent in the Tang Dynasty that people enjoy and worship the full moon. Together with the celebration there appear some special customs in different parts of the country, such as burning incense, planting Mid-Autumn trees, lighting lanterns on towers and fire dragon dances. However, the custom of playing under the moon is not so popular as it used to be nowadays, but it is not less popular to enjoy the bright silver moon. Whenever the festival sets in, people will look up at the full silver moon, drinking wine to celebrate their happy life or thinking of their relatives and friends far from home, and extending all of their best wishes to them.

在家乡，中秋节这天有吃月饼赏月的习惯。中秋这天的月亮特别亮、特别圆，到了晚上，月亮就像初次登台表演的小姑娘一样慢慢升起，害羞胆怯，洁白如玉。月亮上的图画像小孩子信笔涂鸦，又像大师的奇书异画，让人捉摸不透。你看，从这个角度看上去是很像山丘；可是换个角度再看，又像一片茂密的小树林。皎洁的月亮洒落在大地上，一切都是那么平静。早早地吃完晚饭，人们便都出来赏月了，一家人围坐在一起，一边吃月饼，一边赏月，有的还唱歌、背诗助兴呢。此情此景，不禁让人想起了《水调歌头》中的名句：明月几时有，把酒问苍天。不知天上宫阙，今夕是何年。

八月十五正值农忙季节，人们欢欢喜喜吃月饼，高高兴兴收粮食，其乐融融。中秋节，代表丰收，代表喜庆，代表团圆，农民们收获辛辛苦苦种来的五谷，脸上不由露出会心的微笑；小孩子们可以约好地方痛痛快快地玩上一天，晚上则可以和家人一起去赏月，或是在家里聊聊天儿，这是多么美好的节日呀！

中秋节如果到了，我希望今年的中秋月更圆、更明，更祈望我的亲人愈加健康、我的家乡愈加美丽、富饶；也从内心起期望祖国更加繁荣、昌盛。

中秋节前夕，我和妈妈参加了文化馆组织的亲子活动，去洞林湖定制月饼制做，捡鸡蛋。吃过午饭，我们在文化馆门前登上了去洞林湖的公交车。经过四十分钟的路程，我们来到了洞林湖。

第一个地点是洞林湖新田城，我们要在这里尝试自己亲手定制出美味的月饼。我看见做月饼的台子上放了四种馅，分别是：香芋馅、绿豆馅、豆沙馅、和花生馅。老师给我们了一双一次性手套，便开始做月饼。我首先拿了一个面团，把它揉成团后压成一个圆形的面饼，再拿一小块月饼馅，把它放在月饼皮的中间，然后把它包起来揉成一个小圆球，均匀的粘上面粉，再把它放在一个模具里，用劲按下去，一个漂亮的冰皮月饼就做好了。看着自己做的月饼，心里美极了。

接着，我们又开始了下一个行程去田里捡鸡蛋。到了地里，我只看见了一望无际的草丛，却没看见鸡蛋。妈妈说：“鸡蛋都藏在草丛下面，仔细找肯定能找到。”于是我像侦探一样仔细寻找，不放过任何一个地方，功夫不负有心人，我终于找到了鸡蛋。

时间过的真快呀，天黑了，我依依不舍地踏上了回家的行程。

咦！夜晚的天空怎么愈来愈亮？有时还会听到烟火声，也会闻到肉香。哦！原来是中秋节到了。

中秋节当天，一大早我陪外婆和妈妈一起去买肉食品和烤肉架。食材有青椒、吐司、玉米、猪肉片、秋刀鱼、香肠、鸡翅、鸡肝、鸡屁股……等，好多好吃食物。我迫不及待的问姨丈：“什么时候才可以开始升火？”站在一旁的阿姨说：“傍晚才开始。”顿时我和表弟妹们都有点失望。突，然妈妈叫住了我，喔！原来是要请我帮忙拿拜拜的东西。我问：“为什么要拜拜？”经由妈妈的说明我才明白，农历八月十五日中秋节也是福正神（土地公）的生日，妈妈准备了文旦柚、中秋月饼跟麻糬请土地公一起过中秋。

最令人期待的时刻终于到来了，傍晚时分，姨丈始准备升火；阿姨着把食材分类，并且准备佐料；妈妈煮了一大锅菜头贡丸汤；表弟表妹们帮摆桌椅；我忙着端食材户外，一切准备就绪。今晚，姨丈负责掌厨，没一会儿工夫，阵阵香味扑鼻，烤肉香让口水直流的大表弟食指大动；表妹狼吞虎咽的吃着玉米，小表弟顾着汽水瓶，生怕别人倒完他的汽水，而我还是耐心的等待我的鸡屁股，爷爷、奶奶及表舅吃着月饼配老人茶，话当年。妈妈把柚子剥成一顶帽子在小表弟的头上，全家人聚在一起，好不快乐！

接着是大家最期待的节目——放烟火。沖天炮“咻───”的一声，清脆响亮，它光芒划过星光闪闪的夜空，真美！大蝴蝶炮是旋转式烟火，更漂亮。忽然大家发现月亮露出笑脸，愈晚愈明亮，我这时才明白，原来放烟火要在晚上气氛才对味。

在这中秋佳节，家人齐聚一堂，好不热闹！大家吃吃喝喝、谈天说地，有嘻笑声、有鞭炮声，还有皎洁的月光陪伴，难怪古人说：“月圆人团圆。”真是有道理呀！

things on campus life all the time, so they have the motivation to study hard.

When they come to university, they begin to slow down their pace to study and

waste their youth.

Nowadays, a lot of college students lose motivation to move on when they

come to the new chapter of their life. Campus life seems to be relaxed and a

place to free themselves. Without the supervision from parents and teachers,

they choose to lose themselves in the computer games or all kinds of

parties.

So someone made the comment on campus life as the nursing house, which

Firstly, I think our school should carry out various activities to arouse students’ awareness of saving. Secondly, relevant rules and regulations are supposed to be made to punish those who waste things. Most importantly, we should form the habit of saving from now. It is everybody’s duty to save resources.

今天是中秋佳节，下午我们在奶奶家团聚，奶奶给我们做了丰盛的晚餐。饭后我们一家五口去高新区喷泉广场赏月，享受中秋的团圆之乐。

Before I went to middle school, I lived with my grandparents. At that time,

On the evening there will be a big family dinner. People who work far away from their homes will try to come back for the union. After dinner, people will light the lanterns which are usually red and round. Children will play with their own toy lanterns happily.

At night the moon is usually round and bright. People can enjoy the moon while eating moon-cakes which are the special food for this festival. They can look back on the past and look forward to the future together. It is said that there was a dragon in the sky. The dragon wanted to swallow up the moon. To protect the frighten the dragon away.

我十分希望中秋节快点来，恳求天上的月亮快点来我们家，中秋的记忆又浮现在眼前。

I have a bitter experience. When I was a child， I lived a poor life，and I
