我的家乡在宁德，它是一座依山傍水的城市。我听妈妈说，以前的宁德是一座贫穷落后的城市。房屋矮矮，街道狭窄不平，晴天尘土飞扬，雨天满地都是泥泞，到了晚上更是漆黑、冷清了。不仅如此交通也非常闭塞，如果你要去外地，只能坐上中巴车，在凹凸不平的山间公路上，颠簸几个小时才可能到达目的地。

如今的家乡发生了翻天覆地的变化。就拿滨海南岸景观公园来说吧，以前只是一片光秃秃的湖，四周杂草丛生，湖面上还飘着许多水葫芦和生活垃圾，污染严重，人们每每经过这里总要捂着鼻子。这几年经过政府的治理和改造，公园彻底变了样：鲜花、垂柳、幽径、小桥、流水成了名副其实的滨海公园。到了晚上，华灯绽放，湖光山色交相辉映成了一幅美不胜收的风景画。

城市建设也是日新月异。昔日泥泞不堪、尘土飞扬的马路如今早已旧貌换新颜，瞧!路边中巴车、小轿车驰骋在平坦、畅通无阻的高速公路上，不必忍受旅途的劳累，转眼工夫就可到达目的地，一栋栋高楼大厦拔地而起，一片片住宅小区花团锦簇，孩子们在此嬉戏玩耍，享受着童年的乐趣……。

人们的生活水平也在不断提高，环保意识在不断增强。“宁德是我家，环境靠大家”“创建文明城市，从我做起”等口号已落实在人们的行动中。市区里，道路整洁，绿树成荫;广场上，人们翩迁起舞歌唱幸福生活。

“一座座青山紧相连，一朵朵白云绕山间……”悠扬的歌声又在耳边回荡，我心潮澎湃!看!现在的家乡实在太美了，相信家乡的明天会更加美好。

One sunny afternoon, when I was merrily riding home, I heard "Help! Help!".

一个晴朗的午后，当我开心地骑车回家时，我听到（有人喊）“救命！救命！”。

I rode to the riverside and found a boy of about five in the river struggling. I jumped into the water, swam to the boy and dragged him to the river bank. hobby which should had. They also claim that pets make lives more colorful and

entertaining for both women and men.
