我先来说说学习方面。老爸爱读书，家中一半的藏书都是他的。一次，妈妈叫我帮爸爸查字典，我很奇怪，查字典干什么呢?后来我翻开书才知道，爸爸把书里不认识的字都写在空白的地方，注音、解释，多么严谨的人啊。每翻开一本书，都能清晰地看见爸爸密密麻麻做的批注。老爸还爱看电视，但是大多数都看有益的节目，像每天早晨的《百家讲坛》栏目，他一集也不落下。我曾经问过爸爸：“为什么你要看这么多书，看这么多有益的电视节目呢?”他只告诉我一句话：“博采众长吗”。

他把职业当作事业做。每天都早出晚归，一周很少在家吃晚饭。他写稿子时能从上午一直写到傍晚。那天上完补习班，老爸接我到他单位，看着一篇篇的稿件向小山似的堆在桌子上，我惊呆了。老爸对写的每一篇稿件都很重视，他总会先拟好思路，在提笔写作，之后便完全沉浸在工作之中。周六、周日他也不休息，总是趴在桌子上写东西，就连吃饭也是让我把饭放到他的书桌上。晚上一看，饭还是刚放时的模样。我劝他歇歇，他却说工作最重要，不能休息。

看，老爸的字又在展馆展出，在灯光下一闪一闪的。看，老爸的奖杯在最显眼的地方摆放，在阳光下格外耀眼。

我不能像老爸一样对任何事情都很专心，但是我会向老爸学习，专心做好每一件事，决不一心二用。在学习上一定更加努力、刻苦，也看一些名着，并像爸爸那样做批注或写些读后感。而且看一些有益的电视节目。我决心超过老爸，我相信自己经过坚持不懈地努力，一定会学有所成。

I enjoy summer vacation very much. Because summer vacation is the longest vacation of the year.

We have more than fifty days to rest.

Though it is very hot, we can either go to swim or stay in the air-conditioned room. In the

evening, I like to go shopping with my friends, We can eat many things in summer, Such as ice

creams, Watermelons, grapes, and so on. In summer, I always go on a trip with my parents.

The Dragon Boat Festival， also called the Duanwu Festival， is celebrated on

the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. This

festival is to commemorate the death of QU Yuan， an upright and honest poet and

statesman who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a

river.

The most important activity of this festival is the Dragon Boat races. It

symbolizes people‘s attempts to rescue Qu Yuan. In the current period， these

races also demonstrate the virtues of cooperation and teamwork.

Besides， the festival has also been marked by eating zong zi (glutinous

rice). Zongzi is made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and

wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. People who mourned the death of Qu threw Zong

zi into the river to feed his ghost every year.

With the changes of the times， the memorial turns to be a time for

protection from evil and disease for the rest of year. People will hang healthy

herbs on the front door to clear the bad luck of the house. Although the

significance of the festival might be different with the past， it still gives

the observer an opportunity to glimpse a part of the rich Chinese cultural

heritage.

端午节，又称为端午节，定在第五个月的第五天据中国日历。这个节日是为了纪念屈原的死，一个忠厚老实的诗人和政治家据说在河流溺水自杀。

这个节日最重要的活动是龙舟竞赛。它象征着人们的努力救屈原。在当前时期，这些比赛也证明合作和团队合作的优点。

此外，节日还被吃的粽子(糯米)。粽子是糯米做的塞满了不同的馅料包在竹叶或芦苇叶。人哀悼屈原的死亡把粽子扔进河里喂他的鬼魂。

随着时代的变化，纪念转向防止邪恶和疾病是一个时间的。人们会把健康的草药挂在前门清理房子的坏运气。虽然这个节日的意义可能与过去不同，它仍然使观察者看到的机会丰富的中国文化遗产的一部分。
