I have found that the more time I spend alone, the more comfortable I become in my own skin because I can truly get to know myself. This provides me with more patience to accept myself as I am, wherever I am in my journey, on a daily basis.

This lesson was something I learned after spending a summer alone in Italy with a family friend.

I embarked on the journey, turning off my phone for the first time, well, probably ever. I would be jetting all over America then landing in a country with a family basically unknown to me.

Spending small moments of time alone—sans phone, tablet, laptop, TV, and radio—allows one to really tune in. We need to ask ourselves things like: What is my body telling me today? How do I feel today?

There are all kinds of things we can do to enjoy our alone time, some of them very simple. The summer holiday is coming. Im going to have a good rest and learn to relax myself. I will read more useful books because reading more books is not only interesting but also can make me learn more knowledge. I will try to spend more time in chatting with my parents and help them to do some housework. I am going to take part in the social activities so that I can know more about the society. If possible, Id like to go to Shanghai for a visit of the World Expo. Im sure Ill have an interesting and meaningful summer holiday.

My three middle school life is coming to an end.

I am a first-year student in Nanjing University. Every day, I have a very busy and full schedule.

Education is very important to students. The reason is that our achievement determines whether or not we can early out duties to our country in the future.

I get up early every morning to prepare my lessons. Then I attend classes. The last two periods in the afternoon are usually free. I spend them either on the sports ground or in the library. In the evening I try to complete all the assignments on time.

On the weekends, I like to watch TV or go to the films.

Being a student is hard work, but studying makes you a useful person and it is also full of joys when you are ahead of your classmates in all subjects.
