My Family

My name is Li Hua. I am from a workers family. There are six people in my

family. They are my grandfather, my grandmother, my father, my mother, my sister

and I.

Every member in my family works for his or her own trade①. My grandfather

and grandmother are peasants. They do farm work every day in my hometown. My

father is a senior engineer. He is now working in Africa, helping to build a

power station. My mother is a teacher. She teaches English in a middle school.

Today I was at home lonely, due to my husband need to work overtime and no time to accompany me. The tomb sweeping day is one of the traditional festivals in China. On April 5th, people start to visit their ancestors’ tombs. Generally speaking, people will bring the home-made food, some fake money and paper-made mansion to their ancestors. When they start to honour their ancestor, they will light up some candles and incense, put some flowers around the tombs.

The most important thing is to put the home-made food in front of the tombs. The food, also known as sacrifices, is usually made up with a chicken, a fish and some pork. It’s a symbol of the offspring’s respect to the ancestors. People believe that the forbears will share the food with them. The children dedicate the food and money to their forbears in order to show their love and caring. The young offspring will go down on their knees and pray for their ancestors. People believe that eating ay tsao rice balls can get rid of the bad luck and everything will go smoothly. Other activities such as spring outing, tree planting are the other ways to commemorate the forbears. 对于“完型填空”，可以先通读一遍，然后开始把有把握的先填好，到第三遍才把较难的填入空白，填时要注意是否通顺合理。平时练习更重要的环节是对好答案后，把原来做错的部分的上下文再仔细分析，看懂意思，然后把有关的短语或句子记住，这样才会有效地提高这类提醒的解题能力。

●阅读理解———先理解第一句话

解“阅读理解”题，主要还是要看懂文章，尤其要充分理解第一句或是第一段。文章的背景或主题往往包含在第一句或第一段中，否则越看越糊涂，不知道到底在讲什么。接着的每一段的第一句也很重要。读文章要第一遍“猜”，猜生词及短语的的意思，第二便要“查”，也就是猜不出的词语与短语要查词典。第三遍要“记”，也就是要记住所查过的词与短语。

●翻译———把握句子结构

再说说“句子翻译”。句子翻译中最关键的是句子的结构，也就是在翻译句子以前先要根据句子的意思确定一个正确的英语句型与恰当的时态，然后再根据意思把相应的英语词及短语填入。

如，他突然想到他还没有关门。（occur）根据句子的意思，我们应该用形式主语it的结构，即Itoccurtosbthatsbdosth.，时态以过去时为好，而从句的事情发生在主句以前，故用过去完成时好。这两点确定以后，我们就可以着手翻译句子了。Itoccurredtohimsuddenlythathehadn’tlockedthedoor.

●作文——腹稿不可省略

做“英语作文”要注意在落笔以前先打好腹稿，写些什么内容，分几段，如何开头，注意首尾呼应，要确保句子语法结构的正确，时态一致，适当用些关联词，还要注意书写整洁，写好后再仔细检查一边，确保无误，然后才可以算写好了。

In China, people usually have three meal a day, they are breakfast, lunch

and supper.People usually have breakfast from seven to nine in the morning.

There are many kind of food for them to eat, such as nuddles, eggs, fried dough

sticks and soy milk. They have lunch at about twelve at noon, usually have

vegetables, meats and rice. They have a short rest after lunch. Supper is about

把机会让给他

下午上了一节令人震撼的语文公开课，不仅因为老师和同学们精彩的配合，更是因为那个多次发言的禹(同学们说他外刚内萌，感觉很有趣)。在这节课快要下课时，老师再次点到了他，但他并没有急于回答，而是说：老师，我把这个机会让给我的同桌，因为他也总举手，可是一次机会也没有得到。顿时，听课的老师们被禹的回答说笑了，包括安老师也包括我，这个笑绝对不是嘲笑，也不是搞笑，而是一种欣慰的笑，一种赞赏的笑。在大家都急于表现自己的时候，禹的这种友情、这种谦让，让所有人为他竖起大拇指，又怎能不令我感动呢?
