Almost everyone knows that water covers three-fourths of the earths surface. Most of it， however， is in the oceans and is too salty to drink. Also， some of it is frozen and cannot be used. In fact， less than one percent is left for the use of people， animals and plant life. All through history men have tried to build their homes near the sources of fresh water. Now fresh water is becoming scarce， but more and more is needed because of the increasing number of people in the world. Some industries also use large amounts of fresh water in the production of things such as steel， petroleum， paper and rubber and so on. Scientists estimate that the need for fresh water will have doubled by the year 2003. If they are correct， we must find new ways of saving it or producing it. Some nations have worked on the problem and are already sharing their information with others. They are trying to keep their rivers from becoming polluted. Deep wells are also being dug， and rain water is being collected in huge artificial lakes. In one way or another， they hope to provide enough water to satisfy the needs of their people.

24 evening is the annual Christmas Eve, is also the first snow this year, I

Today, my cousin came to visit our house.

At home, his cousin said, "what are we playing?" I said, "play with my

drone." Then we went to play on the lawn.

When he got there, his cousin began to play. The plane flew higher and

I like winter holiday very much, although it’s very short. The Spring

Festival is interesting. I have many things to eat and I will have new clothes.

Besides, I can watch TV. I like cartoons. They are so interesting that I can

watch them all the day. I have a new computer, so I can play games with my

father. He promised to teach me. I will visit my relatives during the Spring

Festival and I can get lucky money. Therefore, I can buy something I like. I

那是去年冬天了，由于冬天来的比较早，所以大家都穿上了厚厚的棉衣，但还是感觉到了冷。走在去姥姥家的路上，寒风刺骨，把我冻得瑟瑟发抖，嘴里的上牙和下牙冻得打颤。风刮在脸上火辣辣的疼，像有一千只猫在挠我的脸一样。我几乎是寸步难行，就在这艰难的挪动中，我遇见了她们，一个小女孩正搀扶着一位老人在雪中困难的行走，那位老人大概六十来岁，衣着朴素，历尽沧桑的脸上刻满了岁月的痕迹，如树皮一样的手紧紧地抓着小女孩，生怕她跑丢了似的。小女孩那幼稚的小脸蛋上挂着一个迷人的微笑，在雪地里蹦着跳着，但丝毫没有挣脱老人的意思。

I am Happy

Today， the biology class is very different. We don’t need to sit in the

classroom， because the teacher takes us to do activities. We go to a field that

is near our school， and the task for us is to observe flowers. We feel so

excited and finish the task very carefully. It is a good way for us to learn

knowledge. I am so happy.

Today is the Duanwu Festival.It is a special festival in China.On this

day,we usually eat zongzi,a kind of food that is made of rice.So I tried to cook

some zongzi today.First,I bought some bamboo leaves.It is an important part of

zongzi.I made the leaves in the shape of small bottles.Next,I put in some rice

and meat.So the leaves can make the rice more delicious.Then,I found some thin

ropes and tied up the leaves——And then the zongzi was finished.The final step

was to boil some water and cook them.It was hard work,but I tried my best and it

was the most delicious zongzi I had ever eaten.

我又迟到了 I Am Late Again

I opened my eyes in the morning and looked at the clock. "Oh, dear! Its

half past seven already. Ill be late again," I thought. Without breakfast, I

hurried to school. But it began to rain hard.

早晨我睁开眼睛，看看钟表，“天啊!已经七点半了。我又要迟到了，”我想。没有吃早饭，我就匆匆朝学校赶去，可是天又下起雨来。

When I got to the classroom, the maths teacher had already begun his

lesson. It was Mr wang. All of us were afraid of him. I didnt like him, or his

lessons. I opened the door. " Im late again, Mr Wang."

This is the first diary I’m writing in the youth summer camp.

Everything is new to me, new class, new teachers and new classmates. My

classmates are all good students and they can speak English well. I think I can

learn a lot from them, and I can make friends with them.

The teacher from china is full of emotion when giving a class. And her

class is very interesting. To my surprise our foreign teacher can speak chinese

very well, but in my opinion, her class is a little boring. She should have made

the class more active.

Compared to my school, Zhejiang University seems so big that it takes us a

few minutes to commute between the classroom and cafeteria.

The end of the summer， should have a good rest! Today, I visited Hopi land. It was a Hopi village.There were three Dormitories: First Mesa, Second Mesa, Third Mesa. I visited a man named Ernie. He has a workshop. In his workshop are all amazing local jewels. He gave me a Opal. It was violet blue. There is fire in it. Today is a stupendous day!

Today, I went to drive in Monument Valley. We almost bumped our butts off. We made our own monument. We went in Monticello to go tothe restroom. It was a science lab. I copied a wolf on a computer. I also used handles to control tarish liquid that has iron in it. I also also did was control a ball. Last, I made a rose for mom and much more. Today is a supertastic day!

Today, I hiked on a trail in Arches national Park. It was the longest trail I ever hiked on. It was a rocky and dangerous mountain. I was extra exhausted. When I was at the top, WOW! It was an arch called Delicate Arch. It looks like Athena looking over everybody’s eyes to see if they are obeying rules. How can a loose little arch stand so high. So today was a miracle.

At all of these exiting stuff, it was the best vacation ever!

My schoool life is busy and fantastic. First, we have four classes in the

morning and three in the afternoon. We have to get to school before 7:30 because

we have a morning class. Second, I like my school life because teachers and my

classmates are friendly and helpful. We also have lots of after-school activies.

Third, our school environment is very beautiful, the teachers all can make their

lesson interesting and instructive. So I like my school life very much.

On Sunday morning, my parents took me to the zoo. We dint go there for a

long time. Last week, my classmates told me that the zoo added some funny

entertainment facilities. I was very curious. So, I asked my parents to took me

there and they promised to. We got there at 9 oclock. There were many people.

Most of them were parents and children. We first went to see the animal. I like

parrots most. And then we saw the animal shows. Elephants, tigers, lions and

monkeys did wonderful shows for us. People were happy, especially the children.

After that, we went to experienced the entertainment facilities. My mum was too

scared to be with us. So, only my dad and I played. It was so exciting, but I

was a little dizzy. However, I was very happy. It was a great day.

On  5th my parents took me to . We stayed at Huabei Hotel. On the first day, we went to the Great Wall. The Great Wall is very long and old. It has millions of bricks. On the fourth Thursday of November, Thanksgiving Day, I made an envelope on

the day of Thanksgiving, which read: the gift that wang xiyuan gave her. Inside

with a small piece of paper, it read: your mother is my ents, I like a small

也许就是飞得太累，想歇息歇息，它慢慢地落在一朵淡紫色的野花上，双翅轻轻地颤动着。机会最之后了!我屏住气，抑制着心跳，慢慢靠近它，伸出捕蝶网，看准位置，“刷”地一罩。“逮住了，逮住了!”我兴奋地叫喊起来，然后留意翼翼地把它从网里取出，放在预先准备的盒子里。

火辣辣的太阳热情得让人受不了，在蝉姑娘不停的鸣叫中，我和姐姐携带着战利品，恋恋不舍地离开了充满情趣的小山坡。
