北美“死湖”事件

美国东北部和加拿大东南部是西半球工业最发达的地区，每年向大气中排放二氧化硫2500多万吨。其中约有380万吨由美国飘到加拿大，100多万吨由加拿大飘到美国。七十年代开始，这些地区出现了大面积酸雨区，酸雨比藩茄汁还要酸，多个湖泊池塘漂浮死鱼，湖滨树木枯萎。

库巴唐”死亡谷”事件

巴西圣保罗以南60公里的库巴唐市，二十世纪八十年代以“死亡之谷“知名于世。该市位于山谷之中，六十年代引进炼油、石化、炼铁等外资企业300多家，人口剧增至15万，成为圣保罗的工业卫星城。企业主只顾赚钱，随意排放废气废水，谷地浓烟弥漫、臭水横流，有20%的人得了呼吸道过敏症，医院挤满了接受吸氧治疗的儿童和老人，使2万多贫民窟居民严重受害。

卡迪兹号油轮事件

1978年3月16日，美国22万吨的超级油轮“亚莫克?卡迪兹号”，满载伊朗原油向荷兰鹿特丹驶去，航行至法国布列塔尼海岸触礁沉没，漏出原油22.4万吨，污染了350公里长的海岸带。仅牡蛎就死掉9000多吨，海鸟死亡2万多吨。海事本身损失1亿多美元，污染的损失及治理费用却达5亿多美元，而给被污染区域的海洋生态环境造成的损失更是难以估量。

Recently, the news reported that one special kind of rhino from Africa just

passed away, which meant the disappearance of this lovely creature. What a great

pity. The tragedy is caused by the damaged environment, while human being must

be blamed for it, because we have done so many bad things to pollute the

environment and make the nature lose its balance. In order to make up our faults

and save our offspring, it is in need of protecting the environment. As the

ordinary people, we can do the small things, such as do not throw away the

rubbish and join some activities to bring the world green, like planting trees.

Every small act can make a difference. Some day, when we live with the

environment friendly, what we do is worth.

About Environmental protection

The air we breath, the water we drink, the animals with us...We are engaged in building a harmonious relationship between the nature and we human beings.

As a supervisor of HSE management in an oil company, I can see the environmental protection in a different way.

In 1989, an oil tanker hit a rock off the northwest coast of Alaska. 35,000 tons of oil poured into the sea. The accident was one of the worst in history. More than 34,000 birds and 10,000 animals were killed. 4,800 square kilometers of ocean were polluted.

The poured oil long-time coverd the surface of ocean and the bodies of marine creatures.We call oil as "black gold",at that time, it turns out to be "black killer".When I saw the famous French film"The travelling birds", thousands of birds are stuck by black sticky oil and died in a few days,many species are no more exist. Ill never forget that sight-shocking scene.

Therefore, we ought to bound up environmental protection with industrial safty control.

Secondly, when oil tankers use ultrasonic waves to test underwater oil stocks, many whales sensing system is spoiled by the instant powerful ultrasonic bolt. Once they were hit by a ultrasonic bolt,they were almost deaf. They cant effectively respond dangerous surroundings around them and are liable to be reeled in the engine of oil tankers or be killed by whaler and other natural enemies.Thereby,we can see the quantity of whales declines very fast.

Its a shame that a great many oil companies havent even realized that. Highly attentions needs to be paid on to keep improving the exploring technology of drilling work on the sea.

All in all, Enviormental protection is an extremely wide subject, In my short essay I can hope at most to lift one small corner of that field and yet it is a critical corner

The ocean and we are a whole, first of all, the ocean itself has great handling of pollutants, dilution, diffusion, oxidation, reduction and degradation of purification ability. But the capacity is not unlimited, when toxic and harmful substances accepted by the local waters more than its own self-purification ability, it will cause pollution of the waters. In addition the ocean while contains many resources, but the regeneration of marine resources is the need of time, if the development of marine resources we uncontrolled and not pay attention to the protection of these resources, so there is always used in the light of day. So the protection of the marine is extremely important.

20年后，我开着时光机回到了久别的家乡——孝义。

天空湛蓝深远，空气清新甜润。小河是那样深，又那样清，清得能看见河底青褐色的的石头，能看见沉积在河底的沙粒和已经发黑的树叶。一到夏天，这条小河就成了儿童们的乐园。一有时间，孩子们便会跳进河里玩耍：扎猛子、学狗刨、打水仗……不小心呛了几口水。没关系，那条小河不但不脏，还凉凉的、甜丝丝的。玩够了，有的便会跑上岸，蹲在大人身边，学着大人的样子甩出鱼钩，钓一会儿鱼;有的干脆不上岸站在水里，弯下腰摸鱼或捉鱼虾。一旦逮住一条大鱼或一只手掌长的虾，就会激动地大喊大叫。

我回到了文化苑小区，首先映入眼帘的是干净整洁的小区环境。孩子们有的堆沙堡，有的玩健身器材，有得玩过家家，又的甚至还在做义卖，有的给老人捶背摇扇……一派和谐幸福的小区氛围，让我心中充满阵阵温暖。

阔别20年后的家乡发生了天翻地覆的变化，让我感慨万千，无论何时何地，我爱我的家乡，深爱这块生我养我的地方!
