Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. It falls on the twenty- fifth of December and has the same importance as Chinese New Year to people with English backgrounds. The celebration is for the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God in Christianity. On the twenty- fourth of December everyone gets excited for it’s the day before Christmas which is called Christmas Eve. Food like short bread and beer are prepared for Santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. 记得那是发生在在我五岁时的事情。有一次，爸爸带我去文化中心玩“跳跳床”。到了那里，爸爸对我说让我先玩，他要去看书。可能是我玩的太高兴了，竟然忘记了爸爸说的话。我玩累了，想回家。可跑遍了整个广场都没找到他。正当我无精打采的时候，突然发现，广场上在发奖品。我禁不住好奇心的驱使，于是便走了过去。只见一个姐姐说：“只要上台表演就可以的奖品哦!”我便上台唱了一首英语歌“one，tow，three……”那个姐姐就个我发了一把太阳伞。我举着伞，高高兴兴的回家啦。可爸爸看完书，却找不到我了。这可把他急坏了，差点哭出来。我回了家，妈妈赶紧个爸爸打了个电话，爸爸这才赶回来，看到我正安然无事的坐在沙发上，他才松了一口气。

现在，只要一看到挂在墙上的那把太阳伞，我就会想起这件事，想起我快乐的童年。

Many children are always looking forward to the winter vacation; this is because during the vacation, children needn’t go to school; They can do everything they like, such as playing, watching TV, traveling, or even sleeping all the day and so on. and when winter vacation come on ,it means that spring festival will come on soon.I spent the whole day at home nearly every day, I played with my computer .I played computer games and surfed the internet. during the vacation ,I still stayed in touch with my classmates and my friends. I think I have been a potatoes mouse .During the spring festival, I visited my relatives ,and I got a lot of red bags. Even though my vacation was crazy and exciting, but I really learnt a lot. As a Senior Grade Three students, I am very busy in preparing for the

college entrance examination. I have seven classes a day, and two self-study

classes at night. And only a day left for the weekend. So, most of the time I

have to spend on the study, after all the college entrance examination is very

important for almost all of us. Aside of study, I would play football with my

friends after school and the weekend. I like playing football very much. When I

run on the football field, I can put the examination thing off my mind for a

while, only sweat and laugh left. It is a good exercise for health and a good

way to relax from the busy study too. This is my high school life, busy and
