我的目标：这一学期，我的目标是希望考一个好的初中，在期末考的时候，考一个令自己、令大家的满意的分数。还有就是我希望自己能锻炼自己上课举手发言，和老师、同学们处好关系。自己不能马虎，任何时刻，都要保持自己端正的学习态度。、

Summer can be very hot in southern Taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky. Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. 对于自己的学习目标，我一定会努力实现，相信通过努力，我可以学到更多的知识，所以我要不断争取，冲到前头去。在最后的学期里，我是不会松懈的，因为我也想在毕业考中取得好成绩嘛!

新学期开始了，我为自己制定了计划。

第一项，坚持课学预习。我们隔一天，老师会让我们预习一篇课文，课文要读三遍，圈二类字和一类字，划词语，标自然段和想课后题。我最喜欢的一篇文章就是七色花。随时遇到不认识的字就查字典，不要等到回来再查，而且要把反义词和近义词都抄到一个本子上，这样在总复习的时候，就可以派上用场了。

数学：要预习明天要学的内容，把题都看懂是什么意思，想一想该怎么做，这样第二天，就不会再出这类的小问题。

英语：英语是这学期新加的课，所以猛一下子接触英语不太习惯。因为英语一星期只有两节课，所以我每天早上起床，背完一首古诗词后，都会听二十钟的英语，慢慢地英语前几页我就会读了。在上第一节英语课的时候，老师说要多听，尽量不要用眼晴看，听是最好的。

第二项，课后复习。有时候老师会给我们布置两词两音和听写作业。数学会布置题。我复习的时候，要做到不管复习哪一门课，在脑子里放一遍电影，看一遍课本，写作业的时候，一动不动，就做在那里写，这样才会又快又好。

第三项，练钢笔字。到三年级了，我们要开始练习练钢笔字了，老师让准备两支新钢笔。练钢笔字时，油不要乱甩，要注意怎样写才能够写好看。后来我和妈妈还定了一个时间合约。这份合约按照自己完成相应的要求来兑换奖励。

第四项，坚持读书、写博。每一年级，老师都给我们布置买书的任务。三年级老师让买的书是《大盗贼》三本，《亲爱的汉修先生》、《生命的故事》，这些都是我们三年级必读书目，读一本书我就要做好读书笔记。

在博客方面，我被雅茹姐姐邀请做了管理员，我有空就要上去多评博。在评博的过程中，我发现别人写的非常好，原来抓住了要点来写，写得生动有趣，多读别人的文章，我才知道自己努力的方向，多读老师的文章，向他们学习，争取自己的写作水平上一个台阶。

新的学期，我要争取得到更大的进步，加油。

I made a decision today. Becuase I often lose my confidence, I decide tell myself ‘go’ in front of mirror after getting up every day. I believe this will make me confident. Thus, I can do things I want bravely. Now, I will say, ‘Keep going’.

今天，我做了一个决定，有的时候我会不自信。所以我要每天早上起床后对着镜子说一遍加油。因为我认为那样会使我变得自信。那样，我就可以大胆的去做一些我想要做却会紧张的事。现在，我要说一句：加油!

Nowadays we see supermodels on almost every magazine cover and one might wonder what life will be like being one of them. Such assumption may be painful for most of the magazine readers who are already over the age when they can get taller. In response to the ”Getting taller trend”, some goes so far as to pay doctors to cut their legs open and let surgeries do the job to get just two centimeters’ higher.

In spite of all these that are happening, some of my taller friends desire to give up this superiority for they just don’t want to be the center of the crowd, saying that they would kill to be a 4 feet child. Girls, maybe you can’t remember the time when you were younger and you need to jump really hard to catch a glimpse of up-the-table world? But being taller, even the upper world of the refrigerator top is no longer a myth and your mom and dad can’t hide your snacks up there any more! As time goes on, you can easily see on the table the beautiful lavenders or lilies stretching themselves in their own fragrant smell, the shining toaster popping out warm tasty toast, or the little drops of water glittering under bright sunshine after your mom wipes the table. Don’t you just love to see every phase of the moon even when they are not that high up in the sky?

Well, I do. Being a 5 ft 10 myself, I am also taking the advantage of buying a larger outfit at a same price. Also, I get a cleaner view of the blackboard even when sitting far away from it. I run faster, jump higher and can think positively. I am proud to say that I possess the ability to see the upside of almost everything. I guess it is because I am closer to the clear blue sky above our heads.

大姐姐们，觉得他们好厉害。而现在自己成了中学生。不知小学的小弟弟小妹妹们是不是也像我当初一样羡慕我们呢?

如今我已经踏上了中学的光明大道，可以在中学里快乐的成长和认真学习，这正圆了我一个好梦。在中学里我一定要好好学习。想到在中学里我能和同学们在一起交流经验的时刻和遨游在知识的海洋里，我真的很高兴。又想到在中学里我可以磨练自己的意志，我更高兴了。

九月一日那天在学校上了一天的课，对老师们的映像特别好。回家了，告诉了妈妈，妈妈说：“对老师的映像好，那么就会认真学，成绩自然就上来了。”所以我认为在这些老师的带领下，我一定会更上万层楼的。因此就要比别人更努力才行：

首先，我要在别人预习之前预习，学习之前学习，做之前做，记之前记。并且每天要比别人多练一些字;多看一些书;多学一些知识;多做一些题目，这样才能成为班上的佼佼者。

我为此列了一个计划，我的计划是这样的：首先，每天上课认真听讲并做好笔记、按时认真完成作业，然后在当天晚上把明天要上的课预习一遍并把今天上课时老师讲的内容回忆一遍，接着就练几页字，再接着就看一下课外书扩大自己的阅

读量，最后躺在床上做眼保健操，做时想想今天有没有遗漏的问题或没做的事，如果有的话就再起来，把事做完了再去睡觉;没的话就算了。

这就是我的新学期计划。我想按照这个计划执行的话，我一定会更上万层楼的!XXX，加油!相信自己，努力吧!

——to the Parents of the Columbia Astronauts

Dear parents of the Columbia astronauts.

I am a student from X X Middle School in China. My name is Li Ming. I was very sorrowful when I learned from TV that SpShuttle Columbia broke up during re-entry and seven astronauts all lost their lives. You have lost your lovely sons arid daughters. You must be very grieved. However, you must also be proud of your children, because they have done great contributions to space projects. So please restrain your sorrow.

Although this time they thiled, we could I get some experience from their failure. We will continue developing space projects, because we can explore the space through those projects and search for more information about sion that they havent done.
