My Family

My name is Li Hua. I am from a workers family. There are six people in my

In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal University life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Some romances, of course, play the role as desserts. They are the 3 key elements for an ideal University life.

Those, however, are not what University life is all about. As we all know, University is wildly different from middle school. It connects not only adolescence to adulthood, but also the ivory tower to the real society. Therefore, the ideal University life is that I become matured both physically and mentally, and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time.

Under this circumstance, I never expect my University life to be too ideal, or you can call it too perfect. Spring Festival in my Hometown

The Spring Festival, the most jubilant and important festival in China, is observed by most Chinese people at home and abroad. Our hometown is not an exception.

Similar with other places in china, we prepare for the festival about half a month before. With the lunar New Year approaching, the red lanterns are hung up along the main streets, making the ancient town filled with the festival atmosphere. While people clean up their houses, decorate it with traditional decorations such as Chinese knots and paper cutting. Each family pastes up Spring Festival couplets to convey their best wishes for the coming year.

On the New Year’s Eve, the whole family sits around, having a

sumptuous feast of reunion. It is worth mentioning that the food we have called maiyouzhi is unique. There is a flat piece of wheat sheet covering various vegetable and meat then rolling them up. What a delicious it is! After dinner, the family always watches the Spring Festival Gala Evening, and sets up fireworks to watch in the New Year.

On the first day of the New Year, people pay visits to the relatives and friends to send New Year’s greetings to each other and wish everything smoothly in the new year. The kids can get a lot of lucky money from the elders.

During the whole holiday, there are varied activities in the town such as lion and dragon dance, and all the citizens enjoy them very much.

People celebrate the festival until the Lantern festival. However, the wonderful memory and the joy of the Spring Festival will last long.

My College Life

How time flies! I have been in Zhejiang Gongshang University for a semester. In retrospect, my college life is busy but colorful. Different from my senior high school’s life, the whole new life I led is much freer. I arranged my time,

becoming the master of myself.

First of all, study is still the core of my life. I major in Japanese which is both interesting and challenging. We are required to be accomplished in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. As a result I had to spend most of time in improving my abilities. Besides of the regular courses, I often attended the lecture and went to the library to eich my knowledge, and I do benefit from what I learnt.

As to the after school life, what I consider most meaningful is joining the YVP to serve society. I think it is the responsibility for every university student to make contribution to the community. Little as my effort is, I tried my best to help the people around us. Once the YVP organized us to sell secondhand books and raise the money to help the people indeed.

In addition, I quite enjoy the travels and the bees. Travels let me experience the sunshine, fresh air as well as the special taste of the local customs and practices. While the bees keep the friendship shining, and friends are as if family members. Both of them lit up my life.

All in all, the college life is a journey, and I have long way to go; all the memory is the most precious treasure, and I will value every moment.

Last Sunday, I went sightseeing with my friends in the Fairy Lake Park. I was appreciating the beautiful lake when a scene that didn’t go with its harmony came into my eyes. 《菜根谭》中有哲言：“天地寂然不动，而气机无息稍停；日月尽夜奔驰，而贞明万古不易。君子闲时要有吃紧的心思，忙时要有悠闲的趣味。”寥寥几句便道出了生活的艺术，忙碌却不失悠闲，笃定却不失雅趣，在短暂的人生中收放自如，活出自己的精彩。

生命如飞逝流萤，有几个人能懂得闲时吃紧，真正心无旁骛地单纯追求着内心的目标？本是身为贵族的普鲁斯特在成年后因病卧床不起，都说“闲愁最苦”。但他并没有自暴自弃，放纵自己的沉沦，而是坚持在病榻上写下了浩浩七大卷《追忆似水年华》。古罗马著名的人文主义者西塞罗将大部分岁月都投身于罗马共和国的政治建设中，晚年由于凯撒称帝而无奈隐退。走出激烈的政治博弈，悠闲的生活让他倍感孤独、冷落，但在拨开了政治迷雾之后呈现在他面前的却是一番新天地，他终于有时间去整理自己的世界观，写下《论义务》、《论共和国》等著作，在悠闲的晚年创造出人文主义之源的辉煌！

奥斯特洛夫斯基说：“人的一生应当这样度过：当他回首往事时，不会因虚度年华而悔恨，也不会因碌碌无为而羞愧。”珍惜短暂的生命，奋力拼搏应是人生的主旋律。但人生在世，若无几分闲情逸趣，恐怕也是枉来一遭啊。

在经济社会快速发展的今天，生活节奏之快使人们几乎忘记了去体验生活的雅趣。挪威的一个电视节目可谓别出心裁，全程两个小时屏幕上只有一堆柴火在燃烧，从起火、微亮、燃烧直至熄灭。人们曾以为节目的收视率会很惨淡，却没料到这个看似单调无聊的节目竟获得大家的一致好评。烈火燃烧着，火舌跳跃，火花四溅，它在用生命诠释着世上最美好的舞姿。火焰正在颤抖着、生长着、挣扎着、咆哮着，火苗的光晕极力渗透到周围的每一分黑暗，当最终一切都化为灰烬，留给人们的是无限的哲思……生命的顽强，人生的意义足以使人回味良久。古印第安的谚语说：“别走的太快，请等一等灵魂。”我想人们忙里偷闲，收获的不仅仅是简单的休闲娱乐，更是对生命的反思，对人生真谛的领悟，对灵魂的抚慰，这才是悠闲的意趣所在。

所谓生活的艺术便是“闲时要有吃紧的心思，忙处要有悠闲的趣味”，不懈的奋斗并懂得何时停驻，用获得的闲趣指导自己的奋斗之路，体会自然的禅意。这不禁让我想到了孔子和老子的处世哲学，孔子入世进取，在事业的旷野上拼命驰骋；老子出世无为，在人生的山野里寻觅道法。做人就要有一颗孔子心，挟一身庄子气，如此才能懂得生活的艺术，欣赏到沿途的美景，真正做生活的主人。

”肯定有人在“诅咒”我了，我无可奈何，只能一遍又一遍耐心地练习着。我先认真地盯住绳子，然后闭上眼睛，心里默默地数着：“一、二、三！跳！”经过自己一次又一次的努力，我的技术也慢慢“熟能生巧”，我心中感到一分欣慰，当然我也不能骄傲自满，这样会使我不能继续进步。甩绳的同学有些不耐烦了，一边甩一边跳起来，跳绳的同学都议论纷纷：“这个人怎么这样的，还让不让我们跳呀！是他（她）自己要甩绳的！”到了最后，我们只能换一个人甩绳了，让他（她）也来参加跳绳的队伍。跳绳是一种有趣的体育活动，跳绳使我明白了一个道理：跳绳时，大家一定要万众一心，不能因为一个人跳得不好或者没接住而对他（她）发牢骚，使他（她）失去信心。这样对他（她）发牌气是没用的，要鼓励他（她）要继续努力，那他（她）才会越跳越好！

今天，我就和妈妈去买菜，我们到了菜市场，妈妈对我说：“今天，让你一个人去买菜好吗?”我爽快地答应了说：“好的。”于是我就提着菜蓝开开心心的去买菜了。我看到今天的豆角很新鲜，于是我对买菜的阿姨说：“阿姨，我要买一些新鲜的豆角。”卖菜的阿姨说：“小朋友你要多少斤呢?”我说：“我要半斤豆角。”阿姨说：“一斤豆角五块钱，那么你算一下半斤豆角要多少元呢?”我心里想着：“一斤豆角五块钱，那么半斤就是一斤的一半，用5÷2=25元。我对阿姨说：“是25元，对吗?”阿姨竖起大拇指直夸我厉害，我心里也美滋滋的，数学真好玩!买好了菜，正打算和妈妈会和时，冰激凌车正好从我身边路过，看了看手里还有10元钱，我就往冰激凌车走了过去。哇!好多口味的冰激凌。我对卖冰激凌的叔叔说：“叔叔，拿一个草莓冰激凌和一个香草冰激凌。”叔叔说：“我们这的冰激凌可都是五个一起卖的呢!两个一起买，这有点难算!”我说：“叔叔，你告诉我五个冰激凌多少钱，我来算。”叔叔说：“好呀!五个要15元。”我想了想说：“15除于5等于3元。3加3等于6元。”叔叔说：“这么难的都能计算，太厉害了，叔叔乐意把冰激凌卖给你。”

回到家，听见爸爸唉声叹气的，我就想帮帮爸爸，原来是他要弄纸张，他有450元钱，每张纸5元，不知道可以买多少张纸?于是我想了想：“450除于5等于90张。”我对爸爸说：“你有450元，可以买90张。”爸爸直夸我厉害，可以帮爸爸解决难题了!

生活中用数学的地方可真多呀!数学在生活中无处不在，我一定要努力学好数学，解决生活中更多的难题。
