What does it mean to relax?Despite hearing this term thousands of times during the course of our lives, very few people have deeply considered what its really about.

When you ask people (which I have done many times) what it means to relax, most will answer in a way that suggests that relaxing is something you plan to do later you do it on vacation, in a hammock, when you retire, or when you get everything else done. I like stay late at night and stay in bed late next morning. Usually, I won’t go to the bed before one o’clock. When my clock alarms the next morning, I have to struggle for a long time to get up.

Most of the time, I feel tired before class is over.

So sometimes I can’t catch with my teacher, because I can’t focus my mind.

nature were vehemently contended among prominent philosophers. Mencius believed

human nature is good, and people are naturally inclined toward virtue. While,

Xunzi deemed human are basically evil who need to be changed by man-made.

As it is widely known, human nature is that indestructible matrix upon

which the character is built. Accordingly, to a large extent, the basic nature

of human beings cannot be changed. On the other hand, each of us is naturally

Now many students of Grade 9 are under too much pressure. They always feel too tired to listen to the teachers carefully in class.

From my point of view, we should change ourselves when the situation can’t be changed any more. Difficulties hide in every corner of our life so we have to face them at times. But the problem is that we sometimes are not able to change the challenging situations at all as our abilities are limited. When it comes, we’d better change our attitude towards these difficulties. Only in this way can we get rid of the tough surroundings and be happy.

Something like that happened to me once. There was a time when I was laughed at by my classmates while I was walking. I was puzzled so I asked them why they laughed at me. One of them told me that the way I walked was very strange and funny. I was sad but I just couldn’t change the way I walked. And the situation of being laughed at by those people didn’t stop. 今天，我在家的时候，发现我的衣服脏了。我想让奶奶帮我洗，可是，我的耳朵旁边突然有一句话在和我说：“自己动手，丰衣足食。”

我想，对呀，妈妈总是说自己的事情自己做，我想起了我家的洗衣机了。想用洗衣机时候，我才发现，原来我家的洗衣机像一架飞机的操作台那么复杂，我不会用，我现在怎么办呢？我在一直沉思。这时，我的头上不知道什么时候冒出了一个闪起来的灯泡，一个念头在脑海中浮现，“机器我不会用，我可以手动洗衣呀！”我的脸上突然出现一个欣慰的笑容。

我拿了两个鸡蛋和昨天吃剩的冷饭，我先把油烟机开下来，再把煤气灶开到中火，把锅里的水烧干。烧干后，加入一点油，把油烧热，在把冷饭倒进去用锅铲翻炒10分钟。饭热了后，我拿起一个鸡蛋，在桌角敲了一下，鸡蛋上居然没有痕迹，我第二次用力了，一敲蛋壳碎了，里面的蛋黄蛋白都顺着桌角流了下来。我吸取了第一次的教训，用适中的力量，一敲，果然蛋壳有一点裂了，我把鸡蛋提到锅的上方，用手一拨，蛋黄和蛋白都掉到锅里了，因为第一个鸡蛋掉在地上太脏了，我又拿了一个鸡蛋，按照刚才的方法，成功了。接下来我放了一些调味料继续翻炒，我用锅铲把粘在一起的一大块鸡蛋都切成一块一块的。就大功告成了！

我盛了两碗饭，一碗给我，另一碗给妈妈，我先吃了一口，感觉还不错。过了几分钟，妈妈回来了，我对妈妈说：“赶快尝一下，我做的蛋炒饭！”妈妈说：“你怎么会做蛋炒饭呢？”我说：“早上我醒来，看你不在家，我太饿了，我就自己做了早餐。”妈妈尝了一口说：“恩，不错，蛮好吃的。”我笑了一下。

因为快过年了，到处都洋溢着喜庆的味道，各家各户都忙着做自家的特色小吃，我们老家更是如此。今天，我主动请缨加入了和奶奶一起做油堆的队伍，因为我一直都最喜欢吃油堆，好来一个近水楼台先得月！

终于开始做了，奶奶在旁边指导，我自己要求独立完成。我迫不及待地拿出糯米粉，哗啦啦地直接把面粉倒进盆子里，少加一点儿水，一边揉一边加，再搅拌一下就能后接着揉，经奶奶检查总算过关了。接下来，我把油倒进锅里，也不能太多，一半就能了，调小一点的火，慢慢让油热起来。

好了，准备工作做完了，现在我要开始做油堆了。

我先抓了一团面粉，揉了揉，像揉塑胶泥那样，把它揉成一个个小球形，我一连做了几十个，也有报废的，就再放进粉堆里继续二次加工，再把一个个的合格产品全部倒进芝麻堆里，让它们全身都穿上芝麻衣，分批倒进已烧热的油锅中，剩下的工作就要交给奶奶了。

只见油堆在锅里不停地乱转，奶奶用她那双布满皱纹的双手将油堆在锅里翻来翻去，眼见油堆越来越黄，终于，油堆在全身金黄时被奶奶捞了上来。

油堆一上了桌，我不顾满脸的粉，立刻拿起一个尝了起来，“嗯，真好吃！再来一个！”奶奶却开玩笑似的说：“你就是一个油堆！”“哈哈哈……”我一边吃着亲手做的油堆开心地笑了……

原来自己动手做的油堆最甜最香！

Things in the world are changing.

People are changing and every creature is changing. Changing is a neutral word. We can’t judge it is good or bad in general, because every coin has two sides. But sometimes we need to change, because it is good for us. Sometimes we will meet some difficult or uncomfortable situation. When we are not able to change it, we need to change ourselves. If both of us refuse to budge, the problem would not be solved. Sometimes we need to change our life attitude; sometimes we need to change our views of seeing things; sometimes we need to tolerant; sometimes we need to be strong.

Changing ourselves according to the specific situation is good for us.
