哈利是一只可爱的小狗。圆圆的脑袋上嵌着一双炯炯有神的大眼睛，身上还披了一件雪白的衣裳，呵！别提多可爱了！
我和哈利能够相识，那可算是前世修来的缘分呢！那天，正当妈妈出摊回来时，看见了一群庞大而又凶狠的大狗欺负着一只娇弱瘦小的小狗，妈妈二话不说，赶上前去，把她抱起来缓缓走向摊前，把它放到了木板上拿起砖头吓唬大狗，大狗看到这幅情形胆小如鼠，撒腿就跑。而它呢？脸上露出了一份恬静的笑意，走了一段路后，妈妈把它放回了地面，妈妈走一步它跟一步，无奈地妈妈只好让它跟回了家。
想起那时，我们的生活是如此的美好，快乐我每天下午放学时，它总是乖乖的在大门口等着我的回归，当我刚到门口时，它会兴奋的叫起来，在我面前打滚，摇着它那细长的尾巴。
后来，我觉得应该给它起个名字，总不能老是叫它小狗狗吧！可是，什么名字既充满意义又充满温馨呢？我冥思苦想，索性就叫哈利吧！为什么要给它起名叫哈利呢？因为它给我们全家带来了幸福与快乐，哈——会给我们带来快乐，利——给我们带来了吉祥。这就是它名字的意义。
