Christmas Day is very popular around the world, when that day comes, we can

see the Christmas products sell everywhere, though Christmas Day is not

originating from China, in our country, more and more people spend that day. A

foreigner pointed out that Christmas meant to be grateful for them, while for

Chinese people, it was just a day for celebrating. To me, Christmas indeed means

a day to have fun.

When I was small, I did not have the concept of Christmas, because in my

mind, I only knew Chinese traditional festivals, I liked Spring Festival best, I

could get a lot of money from parents. When I went to high school, all of my

friends would talk about Christmas Day when the day was near, so I started to

know it. Almost every young people like Christmas, but if you ask them what the

meaning of the day, less of them can answer.

The meaning of Christmas Day is to remind people of Jesus’s birth, it is so

important for the western people, but for me, I only want to have fun, everyone

is celebrating it, so I join them, being happy, that’s enough for me.

时光飞逝，日月如梭。转眼间，我已经五年级了，在这五年中，唯有那次让我感觉到，我长大了。

那是一个星期天的下午，天气格外明媚，可是我却忙碌的走来走去，因为妈妈今天生病了，妈妈发烧的很厉害。爸爸在外地出差不在家，我要照顾妈妈。

“叮咚、咚、咚、咚、咚”时钟不停的叫着，我也要为妈妈擦拭额头了，我接了一盆冷水，把毛巾浸泡在水里，等它浸泡完之后，我把毛巾拿出来，把水拧干后，跑在床头，把毛巾放在了妈妈的额头上，让她的体温下降。

敷完毛巾后，我又急急忙忙的找妈妈的药，我左翻翻右找找，终于在一个小缝隙里找到了药盒，我从里面取出药瓶，用劲儿想要把它打开，可它却无动于衷，我只好使出吃奶的劲儿来，把瓶盖用牙旋转开来，打开瓶盖的我欣喜万分，立马倒下水把药喂给了妈妈。

吃完药后，我又开始忙碌起来，因为我要给妈妈做饭吃。我按照妈妈的意思，准备做粥喝，因为怕妈妈饿着，我就着急的连米都没有洗，直接把米倒进锅里熬起来。

经过长时间的等待，我终于把饭做好了，我颤颤抖抖地把粥端在妈妈面前，妈妈笑了，她为我感到骄傲，因为在她生病时，我锻炼了自己，照顾了她，在那一拧、一找、一做中，她看出，我从一个小孩成长为会照顾家人的少年了。于是，她拍着我的肩膀，微笑着，和蔼的说：“你长大了，你自己成长起来了!”听了这句话，我高兴地咧开嘴笑，心里就如这笑容一般，甜甜的，是快乐的滋味。

这笑容使我明白，那一刻，我长大了，我真的长大了。

我家有一位可爱的妈妈，她有着长长的头发，身材高高的。她会经常给我制作各种各样的小礼物；经常给我做美味的菜肴；还常常带我出去玩。但在学习方面，妈妈的态度却一百八十度的大转弯，一下子变身为“母老虎”。

“诺诺，快去写作业了！”听，虎妈又用她那一百三十分贝的声音在喊着我了！唉，痛苦的时候又到了。

我不情愿地走到书桌旁，无精打采地打开作业本，弯着腰，耷拉着头写起了作业。不到10秒钟时间，妈妈就神不知鬼不觉地来到了我的身后，大吼一声：“我跟你说过多少遍了，写字的时候一定要坐得端端正正的，胸口距离书桌要一个拳头那么宽，姿势对了才能写好字。”我只能打起十二分精神，照着妈妈说的做，认认真真地写作业。

半个小时过去了，作业还没写完，今天的作业实在太多了。我多么想去楼下踢球，多么想去看电视。这时，我打起了坏心思：前两页我写得挺漂亮工整的，就算后面两页胡写一通，妈妈应该也不会发现的吧？正当我在为自己的“聪明才智”而暗自高兴时，妈妈已经悄无声息地站在我身后。她一把拿起作业本，皱着眉头，瞪着眼睛，严厉的目光瞪得我心跳加速，瑟瑟发抖。果然，妈妈二话不说就把我那几页写得不好的作业给撕掉了！我的眼泪在眼眶里打转，心想：这位虎妈真的是太凶了！以后还是得乖乖写作业。

Now we are facing two problems of global warming and a shortage of natural

resources, both of which are getting more and more serious day by day. Thus, it

is important for us to promote a low-carbon lifestyle.

Low-carbon lifestyle covers many aspect of our life like transportation,

traveling, home-heating, and so on. In order to promote a low-carbon life, some

plans must be carried out as follows. Firstly, don’t waste any electricity and

water. Remember to turn off the lights and water taps unless we use them.

Secondly, we had better take the subways or bus to work, so as to reduce the

emissions of carbon dioxide. Thirdly, we should use cloth bags for shopping

instead of plastic bags, and use recyclable bowls and chopsticks instead of

disposable ones, for it can not only save resources, but also reduce pollution.

often drives my heart. I keep it away for eleven years . However, I am almost

make it come true, because Im not good at studying subjects, my math ,my

English, my Chinese and my mixtrue subjects are not good. So, when I come to

classroom I often sit there and became sad. I think I have worked hard for two

years in the Siner School. But ,all of things arent change quickly. Where is my

seed and where is my gains, but it may be the time . Now, I have been in the

Senior three, and Ill face the case of going to university. Although the case

is so terrible , I have nothing to treat it. I often cry with the reason that

why I am always in trouble. but as the increcs of age , I know that cry is no

The generation gap refers to the difference in attitude toward thing or the

lack of understanding between young people and older folks.

In families as well as in society, the young and the older may not agree

with each other on this and that from time to time. Young people would llke to

make as much money as they could and spend as much money as they could earn

while older folks are easily satisfied with what they earn and save as much as

possible. Young people llke the exciting and deafening pop music while older

folks prefer melodious folk-songs or classic music. A boy and a glrl today may

妈妈的厨艺，是我童年的味道。小时候，爸爸整天在外奔波忙于工作，我是妈妈一手带大的，对于妈妈的厨艺，我再熟悉不过了，对于那种童年的味道，更是难以割舍，那种独特的味道，在哪里也无法品尝到。

一次我来到厨房“偷师学艺”，只见妈妈先将土豆去皮，洗净后切成薄片，切好的土豆片还要冲水洗净，再放到锅里蒸，还要把备好的葱洗净切碎备用，土豆蒸熟后取出，点火加热，等锅烧的很烫的时候往锅里倒入油，迅速把蒸好的土豆片倒入，不停地颠动锅，让土豆均匀受热，见土豆片均匀的上油后再放入适量的盐，生抽，最后撒上备好的葱花和胡椒粉，再迅速炒匀后出锅。一道美味的土豆大餐出炉了!立刻一阵香味扑鼻而来，我的口水都快流到下巴了!看着这一盘金灿灿的土豆，还有那一颗颗绿色的葱花，让我联想到：在一片金黄的土地上，有许多勤劳的农民在劳动呢。那点缀的颗颗葱花就像那一棵棵幼苗!土豆上的油在灯光的照射下闪闪发亮，又让我想到：“锄禾日当午，汗滴禾下土。谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦。”夹上一片放入嘴里，糯糯的，甜甜的，有土豆的香味，葱的清香再加上胡椒的香味，它既带有我们宁波的清淡，也略带有一点点北方的辣味(胡椒)，很特别吧，吃着吃着，都舍不得放下筷子了。听了我的介绍，你们是不是也想尝尝呢?那就来我家作客吧。

妈妈虽然在宁波呆的时间不长，但她海鲜也做得很不错哦，像葱油海瓜子，就是她的拿手菜，每年回家过年，妈妈总要炒上一盘让我解解馋。

The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most popular traditional festivals

celebrated in China, which is on the fifth of the fifth lunar month, also known

as Duanwu Festival. It’s said that it is to commemorate the death of a Chinese

patriotic poet, Qu Yuan, who was snared by corrupt officials in ancient China

and finally committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo River to protest

against them.

The traditions and customs held on this festival differ from place to

place, but there are some common in them. First, the most famous and great

tradition is holding Dragon Boat races, which are held by fishermen’s attempt to

protect Qu Yuan’s body against attacking by fishes and other animals in the

river by beating drums and row the dragon shaped boat. Nowadays dragon boat

races have been an annual popular sport activity among people. In addition,

making and eating Zongzi—a dumpling made of glutinous rice and wrapped in bamboo

or reed leaves—is also a popular custom during this day. It can be made by many

kinds of stuffing. What’s more, hanging herbs on the front door, drinking

realgar wine and pasting up picture of Zhongkui—a mythic guardian figure in

ancient china—are also popular during the festival, which are mean to protect

people from evil and disease.

These customs and traditions have been changed a little in recent years,

but they still make contribution to the spread and inheritance of Chinese

culture.

Nowadays, there is a increasing number for people to join in the activities

of volunteering. It’s well-known that volunteering job is making contribution to

the society with nothing in return. It’s like the Leifeng spirit. However,

knowing this, there are still many people would like to devote themseves in this

我想参军。我的家人对我的决定感到很高兴。因为我想成为一个伟大而坚强的女人，并且改变我在我朋友面前的形象。更重要的是，我想体验一下军旅生活;我觉得那会是在我的整个人生中丰富多彩的时刻。

妈妈，我有一件事情要告诉你，因为我做过一件很羞耻的事。今天，我想起做错事情就要主动承认。所以，我才写下这篇作文。

这是两年前我生病住院期间发生的。当时要住院半个月，为了不落下课程，你就让我在家自学补课。有一天，自学不到半小时，我就不想学了。“为什么不玩一会电脑呢?”，犹豫了一会，我就去玩电脑了，玩着玩着，突然听到妈妈开门的声音，我想一定是妈妈回来了，这下可不得了了!就立即关掉电脑回到书桌旁，装出学习的样子。这时我才知道自己做错了。想起你对我多年的爱，还有你用心照顾我的情形，这时我的心就像打鼓一样嘭嘭跳，想着和你道个歉。转念一想：不能说，一说出来的话就肯定被骂死了!……最后，还是将这事情保密起来……

从此以后，它就像一块“大石头”一样压在我的心头。不论走到哪儿我都忘不了这件事情……

至今，我才知道撒谎的心情是很不好的。我决心鼓起勇气把这件事情告诉你。

妈妈，我以后一定会改正的，我以后绝对不随便玩电脑了，你能原谅我吗?
