It is widely noted that lots of traditional culture is disappearing along

with the development of technology. Many ancient architectures and traditional

ways of living have been deserted. It seems that the traditional culture and

craftsmanship will be replaced in this modern era.

The following reasons can account for the above phenomenon. Firstly,

traditional technologies are always considered ineffective while the new

sciences are always highly efficient, because modern science and technology

facilitate both our daily and academic life a lot, with which we can save much

money and time. Secondly, it is costly to protect the traditional culture,

Mothers Day Mother’s Day is a holiday when children honor their mothers with

Mother’s day at different times through out the year.

One of the best ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is to give your mom the day

off. Let her relax with the rest of the family doing all the housework. Usually,

dad and the kids will let mom sleep late that morning as they go into the

kitchen to prepare her favourite breakfast. Never forget to place a vase with a

single flower on the table beside the food. The kids can pick up the flower from

the garden or buy one from the shop. Arrange everything nicely before mom wakes

up. Some families will carry the food and mom’s favourite sections from the

newspaper to her bedroom so that mom can have breakfast in bed. Presents and

cards from the kids can be handed to mom by themselves or just placed on the

dining table.

After breakfast, go anywhere mom likes to go. Shopping, swimming or going on

a picnic in the garden. Make a special Mother’s Day dinner or take mom out for a

great meal in a famous restaurant she loves most.

Halloween

Halloween is an autumn holiday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "holy evening," and it comes every October 31, the evening before All Saints Day. However, it is not really a church holiday, it is a holiday for children mainly.

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. 我的妈妈最最最爱美了，她每天早晚都做黄瓜面膜，简直就是“白骨精”不“黄瓜精“!每年都要买许多千奇百怪的护肤品，有参元琼浆，LANCOME(兰蔻)、AUPRES(欧柏莱)，买回来我还以为是各种糖浆呢!

妈妈还有一个特点：是注重营养，因为她在买菜上一点也不懒(虽然有时也会让我偶尔去买一次菜)，每天去南门菜场买全萧山最新鲜的菜，而且每顿都是两道绿色蔬菜，一道荤菜，主食一般都是芋头、红薯、紫薯，土豆、黄粿、年糕、南瓜等(因为我米饭吃得少)，而且做菜用的是最贵的花生油和香油，更重要的是她绝对会让我一口一口地把蔬菜吃完。每天如此做饭，如此监督。还真是奇怪，这样吃了一两年，连病都没有生过，真是比那些“灵丹妙药”还要好的“仙丹”。

妈妈非常喜爱运动，她早上跑步，下午瑜伽，因为她说运动可以增强体质，减缓衰老。当然老妈运动也会带上我，我也喜欢上健身了，身体也越来越好了。即使冬天在麻城，她仍然顶着刺骨的严寒跑步，成了一道独特的风景。

这就是有点偷懒，但是坚强、注重营养和爱美的妈妈。

人人都知道，母爱是伟大的。每一个孩子都会得到母亲给予的爱。可我说的这种爱可不是过分的宠爱哟!它体现在日常生活妈妈给予我的点点滴滴中，它是一种朴实的爱。

记得那是一个风和日丽的下午，我正的弟弟在家门口玩，突然听见家里有人在叫我，我跑回家一看，原来是妈妈，她手上拿着一本作业本说：“你先把这本作业本写完再去玩!”“能不能先玩一会儿，再写啊?”我说。“不行!今天必须做完，下午我回来检查!”妈妈边说，边把本子仍在我面前。我极不情愿把本子拿起来，放在桌上，仔细一看这是本数学作业本，没办法，我只好认认真真的做起来。

回校后，数学老师“突击”给我们考了一张试卷，当我做到最后一题附加题时，就不会写了，我急得像热锅上的蚂蚁，我冷静下来，仔细一想，看的好熟悉啊，原来是妈妈给我做的作业本上的题目，我轻而易举的把这道题给解决了。考完试后，心想：其实妈妈给我写作也是为了我好，能让的数学成绩能提高，我不应该对妈妈生气。卷子发下来了，我考了3个优。

可是随着我慢慢的长大，妈妈也在慢慢的变老，但不管妈妈以后会变成什么样，在我们眼中妈妈永远都是最年轻、最漂亮、最伟大的，我爱我的妈妈!
