A poet leads me to a branch road: on one side, there are lots of sweet

apples, lovely and charming; on the other, there is a patch of thorn, what hides

behind the success of struggling against the thorn is a splendid palace. I

deeply know that if I choose the apples, I will give up a precious opportunity

of becoming a queen; While if I choose to challenge, I have to say farewell to

the apples. Which one should I choose?

Just like the branch road, we have to make a lot of choices during our

lifetime. It is usually considered that we are choosing what to gain, to own,

but in my opinion, we are just choosing to give up.

Choosing to be a teacher means giving up the life as rich as a business

man;

Choosing to be a top student means giving up much leisure time in front of

the TV.

Sure, it’s a torture, but we must judge carefully what is more important,

then give up the others. Don’t think of them any more, just focus all your

spirit on what you are doing.

I myself, who is standing here, have already chosen to challenge in such a

great competition, so I have to give up ten days of normal classes in school and

relaxation without pressure. But I am still pleased, because giving up properly

makes me stick to my choice.

Let’s return to our branch road, which one will your choose? I choose to

challenge here!

一位诗人把我引到一个岔路口：一边是甘甜的苹果，鲜艳而诱人;另一边是一条荆棘之路，但隐藏在与荆棘搏斗的成功之后是一座富丽的宫殿。我深深地明白：如果我选择那些苹果，我将失去一个可能成为女王的良机，与此同时，如果我选择挑战那些荆棘，那会很艰辛，而且我又必须与可爱的苹果告别，我该选择哪一个呢?

正如这个岔路口一般，生活中的我们面临多种选择。人们通常认为，我们在选择去获得什么，拥有什么，但在我看来，我们在选择放弃什么。

选择作一名老师意味着放弃了像商人一样奢华富有的生活。

选择作一名顶尖学生意味着放弃了许多在电视机前的闲暇时间。

当然，放弃的选择是一种苦难，但我们必须用心审度，什么对自己来说更为重要，做出选择，然后放弃其他，不要再回首想那些已放弃的东西，把精力集中于你正在做的事。

站在这里的我，已选择了在这样大规模的比赛中挑战自我，所以我必须放弃十天的正常功课和没有压力的轻松感。但我依然高兴，因为适宜的放弃弃之后，我更加专注于自己的选择。

Last night ,I dreamed I became a very beautiful brid. I dreamed that I was in a forest. In tht forest,there were a lot of animals. Then,an old bird told us,"we have a very beautiful forest,we should therefore protect it from pollution. "All the animals agreed with him.

But the second day,people came into our forest. Many animals were caught. The people wanted to build house and parks in our forest. Many old trees were felled. And then suddenly,nothing was left standing.

I was so shocked and then I bursted out crying. I woke up at midnight. It was only a dream.

My teachers and some elderlypeople often praise me. They always say that I must have a bright future,because I like study very much. I really like study. 当超市里挤满了人，收银队伍排的像龙一样长时，正是收银员们发愁的时候。这么多人，面对有可能是塞进来的假币、也有可能是错误的条码、计算的错误等等麻烦枯燥的事，真是费人所思啊！也许你会说，可以用机器人啊！是的，机器人的确可以收银，可发明却没那么简单，但随着科技的发展，在2038年，人们终于发明出了收银机器人。

瞧！机器人头部有一对触角，可用磁力吸收磁或电，并将磁转为电。在机器人圆柱形的脑袋上，机器眼也是重要的部分，它把特殊摄像机“看”到的图像转为电讯号，传送到各大传感器，再由这些有接触觉、接近觉、滑觉、压觉、力觉等传感器的反手做出各个动作，甚至表情。机器人还有一张能说会道的口，也靠电讯号传送信息，里面的每一颗牙就是一个按钮，可以控制机器人的运作。机器人的脖子里“藏”着真假币分辨器，可数秒分辨。机器人的肩部还有梳理器，腿部有储电器，身上有印票机，手上有计算机……

来到2038年，走进商场超市，你将看不到一个收银员，只有整齐站立的各种机器人，它们还会主动和购物的人们打招呼呢。看，机器收银员们不停地忙碌着，感应、刷码、付款、找零、装袋都一气呵成，刚才还排的长长的队伍一下子就不见了，这个速度可真快啊！

未来，收银机器人将忙碌在各个街道的大小商店和超市中，它们认真快速的为人们服务着，大大为人们的生活带来了便利。

with the development of technology, people can do some operations to make

their faces look prefect, even to look much younger than their real ages. when

we see the commercial ads, we can find the stars look gorgeous, we are so envy

about their young faces. but to me, i think the secret of keeping young is not

by surgery operation, but to keep a healthy lifestyle. today, young people are

living an unhealthy life, they like to stay up and wake up at the noon. young

people form the habit of taking activity at night while sleeping in the day. how

terrible it is, they are damaging their bodies, their bodies will get older than

the normal speed. if people sleep early and wake up in the morning, do some

exercises and keep the balance diet, they will look young. so don’t expect the

surgery to help look young, it is harmful, only the healthy lifestyle does.

在野外，它是您的小助手。如果您想放风筝，可是又不会放，助手机器人就可以教您放；如果您饿了，它就会在几分钟之内为您做好丰盛的晚餐，您就可以大饱口福了。

在警察局，它是警察机器人。警察机器人不怕苦、不怕累、不怕艰辛，还有一身好功夫。无论多么狡猾的敌人，它都能抓住，警察机器人时刻保护着人民的安全。

在舞台上，它是表演机器人。看！它扮演成小丑，做着各种搞怪的动作，使我们哈哈大笑；接着又变成魔术师，表演着神奇的魔术，观众个个目瞪口呆；然后又表演了动人的故事……

在未来的世界里，机器人真是必不可少。
