每年秋天蔬菜成熟可以食用的时候，孩子们就会挑出大个儿的橙色南瓜。然后在南瓜上刻上一张脸，把一根点燃的蜡烛放在里面。看起来就好像有人在向南瓜外面张望。这些灯就叫做“iack-o-lantems”，意思也就是“杰克的灯”。

每年万圣节前夕孩子们还戴上奇怪的面具，穿上吓人的服装。有些孩子把脸刷成怪物。然后他们拿着盒子或袋子挨家挨户串门。每来到一个新房子他们就说：“不款待就捣乱!给钱还是吃的!”大人们就会把用来招待的钱或糖放在他们的袋子里了。

不仅孩子，许多成年人也喜欢万圣节前夕和万圣节前夕晚会。因为这一天他们可以根据自己的想象把自己装扮成名流或幽灵。这会带给他们年轻的快感。

一、几点重要原则

1.智者利用押题，傻子依赖押题!

2.书面表达整篇背诵绝无必要，可以以看读为主，关键是从中汲取一些常用的词汇和表达，并能得体熟练地运用。考场上应变能力很重要!

3.英文写作模仿很重要。有时也很有效。但不能过于牵强，尤其是对一些长难句的刻意模仿使用。

4.文似看山不喜平，起承转合一定要有!

5.“见微知著，一叶知秋”，几个亮点足矣：有道是：浓妆淡抹总相宜，作文写得简洁到位要比长篇大论更显功力。

6.心不为形役。不要身陷逐字逐句“英汉对号”式的字面翻译，要把表达的主动权始终握在自己手里。

二、善用万能句以不变应万变

历届高考，书面表达考得最多是提示作文，即提供一定的情景内容，要求考生完成100词左右的短文。

从命题方式看，有短文提示、要点提示、图画提示、情景提示以及图表提示等；体裁以应用文为主，记叙文为辅：题材为广大中学生所熟悉的日常生活。从提供要点的情景方面看，历届高考书面表达题均属供料小作文，采用文字供料或文字说明加图画(图表)的方式供料。

备考时，同学们要利用有限的时间把以前背的范文整理一下，从中选出不同体裁、不同题材的范文各一篇(范文以高考真题的高分作文为佳)，把它们重新记忆，一定记牢。这样，高考时不管什么样的文章都可套用背诵好的格式。避免考场上因紧张而无章可循。

最后阶段，还要总结一下写作时常用且能出彩的固定句型、句式，比如强调句型、定语从句、名诃性从句等，牢记英语的五个基本句式，背诵平时老师总结的万能句。以不变应万变。

考场答题前，应仔细审题，研究所提供的文字和图画(图表)材料和作文要求。分析、提炼要点，理顺要点，确立基本的写作思路，不要忽略任何一个词。关键的词更不能遗漏，构思好写几个方面，缺一不可。

写作时，尽量用学过的英语句型和词组。少写长句和复杂句以免弄巧成拙、漏洞百出。但目前高考有关书面表达的评分标准要求作文中应有“较多的语法结构和词汇”，因此同学们在书面表达中不能都写小句、短句和单句，还要正确运用高级词汇和复杂结构。恰当运用过渡词，使写出来的文章含金量更高，更具可读性。

三、高分作文六大特性

1.条理性。指的是合理安排文章结构。首先，在文章思路、组织材料、叙述顺序等方面要有一定的条理性。其次。根据需要，安排好段落，各段之间要层次分明，也要重视每一段的开头和结尾，开头语往往是总起句，结尾语往往是总结句。

2.准确性。指要求写出语法正确的句子，包括时态、语态、用词和句法等，要准确、地道地表达。必须要牢牢掌握一些常用句型或习惯表达，避免中式英语，在实践中不断总结中英用法的差异，养成用英语思维写作的习惯。

3.流畅性。指根据整篇文章思想的需要，有效采用不同的连接手段，使文章层次清楚、行文连贯。

4.简洁多样性。简洁性就是语言简洁，不重复。多样性就是能随情景内容的变化写出句式多样的语句。这也是新课程标准对写作的评价标准。

5.思想性。新标准对写作的要求，增加了情感因素，在准确流畅表达写作要点的同时，适当增加句子的感情色彩，增加一些人情味，使文章读起来更亲切，完全达到与读者进行交流的目的。

6.美观性。指的是卷面书写规范、清楚、干净、整洁。

四、怎样才能有‘拽”的感觉

1.高考写作的实质——变相考查句型与词汇的灵活应用

英语写作不同于语文作文的写作，如果说语文作文是一个自由发挥的舞蹈，那么高考英语写作就是带着枷锁在跳舞。我之所以这样来形容，是因为高考英语写作的内容都已经通过文字、表格、图片这三种形式给定，内容方面，不需要学生进行发挥，大家所需要发挥的就是不要老去给这个不变的内容穿毫无变化的校服(简单句)，而要去穿一些不一样的衣服，让它显得不那么单调，让阅卷老师能看到不同，而那些所谓的衣服也就是多变句型与词汇。

2.写作的评分标准——怎么去迎合评卷老师的胃口

我了解到目前很大一部分学生的作文都处在15分左右，写作满分25分，15分也就是个及格分，那么15分和20多分的作文到底差在哪里?这个问题很容易回答。15分的作文中规中矩，该对的都对，包括内容要点的完整，语法与词形的正确，但是全都是简单句子的堆砌，没有任何亮点。而20多分的作文在句型词汇方面就做了很好的包装，它的句子穿的衣服已经不是校服，而是李宁、耐克，或者是阿迪，所以让人觉得很“拽”，而高考英语写作要的就是这种很“拽”的感觉。

3.写作提分的三要素——句型。连词。高级词汇

句子是我们写作文最大的单位。有了漂亮的句子。用好的连词将其连句成段，再加上一些如星星般亮点词汇的点缀，一篇好的高考英语作文就诞生了。而这三个因素中最容易把握的是句子，最难的是高级词汇，限于大家的词汇还比较有限。一篇文章中出现那么一两个就够了。我们应该把重心放在句型上，因为这个最容易把握。

但是大家又有这样的困惑，学校里老师也给了我们很多的句型啊，动辄成五十上百句的，大家背得挺多，但是面对考试的时候，发现背的那些怎么也用不上。其实不是那些东西没有用，而是它们太干了，就好比一根干骨头，大家嚼起来很没有味。也不知道该把它们往哪里放。

在这里我给大家提供一种比较切实可行、迅速提高的练习方法，在接下来的时间里只要大家按照这个方法来，就一定会有收获。

找出历年真题，一周只需要写两篇。但是要这么来写。

1.把你要写的内容要点用九到十句的汉语表达出来。

2.逐一地进行翻译，不是用简单句。而是要刻意地去想：

(1)可以用什么样的复杂句；

(2)怎样去避开不会的表达，转义。

例如：

这本书是如此的有趣，以至于我读了一遍又一遍。

1.This book was so interest，ing that l read it again and again，

2.This was such an interest，ing book that l read it again andagain，

3.This was s0 jnteresting abook that l read it again and a—gain

这四句译文当中无疑评卷老师最欣赏的是第四句，因为它用了倒装。

多少年，在人类有限的历史里，有无数像微尘一样的人仰望过这星空。有多少人只轻轻一扫，又有多少人因它陷入沉思?从“天圆地方”到“地球是圆的”。从地心说到日心说。从孤独的星球到浩瀚的星系。很久很久以前的我们在思考着星空，很久很久以后的我们还在思考着星空。

星空如此浩瀚。它的广度，是光走无数年也走不完的距离。而我们，如浮游般无关轻重的人类，我们在无尽星空下的畅想是庄周梦蝶还是沧海一粟?我们数十年的生命在宇宙近乎永恒的时间河流中如一粒细沙，极为渺小。我们又能做什么?做什么去接近这片星空，去融入这片星空，乃至于——改造这片星空。

小小的孩子茫然的站在几乎包住他的黑色天幕里，眼里是无措和无奈。

所幸我们还有脚下的这片大地。大地，几千年来我们生于斯，长于斯，逝于斯。在追逐星空的无尽道路上，是先贤的累累白骨。他们思考，他们沉吟，他们看着脚下的大地，向往着头顶的星空。我们和他们一样，一样是大地的子孙，一样能从大地中汲取力量，这片温和而宽厚的土地，和我们拥有一致的心跳和相传的血脉，血液在中沸腾着，呼喊着，尽情抒发着从古至今的对星空的渴望。

大地啊，如果我离开了你，我可能触碰到星空吗?

幼小的孩子喃喃的问。

不可能的。没有了大地，我从什么汲取力量?我虚浮地飘在空中，无根无依，我随着风不能自控地飘动着，自由而不自由。像断了线的风筝，似脱离掌心的气球。我该用什么来实现我的目标，捕捉我的星空?

所以，可爱的孩子。大地如此的答到。

一味的仰望星空，一味的飘在空中，是永远永远摸不到星星的。

那我又能怎样呢?

踏着大地，就像古树的根须往下扎汲取营养，吸取能量一点一滴的生长。累了，倦了，抬抬头，看看你所仰望的星空。再低头，日积月累的成长。

总有一天，你会发现——

那片星空，已在你手中。

我们似乎都在认为继承是在盲目守旧，创新是对传统的扬弃。但在我看来，正是因为想要创新，所以去继承;想要继承，所以去创新。继承与创新，从来都不是对立的，它们之间是相互联系，共同发展的。只有这样，人类的文化生活世界才会更加灿烂与精彩。

掀开历史的篇章，我们随处可见继承与创新相互影响的身影。稷下学宫在继承西周官学的办学形式上，又在当时的国家形式上发展出一些新的内容，为先秦的教育史和学术史揭开了新的一页。儒学复兴运动孕育了理学，谭维维与华阴老腔在舞台上的创新使最老摇滚乐得以延续。可见，创新需要从继承中来，继承需要从创新中过。只有使传统变成现在人能够接受的东西，传统才能继承，继承才能创新，只有这样，人类文化才会生生不息。

反之，如果只是继承，而不去创新的，必定会被社会所排挤。文艺片《百鸟朝凤》中的唢呐老艺人艰难苦寻徒弟去继承自己的唢呐绝技就是一个很好的例子。试问一下，若是老艺人能够主动去创新，如同华阴老腔一样去创新一种被社会所接纳的东西，使唢呐与时代相结合，何尝不怕没有继承呢?所以由此可见，继承不是你希望怎样就能达到多么好的效果，而是与创新共同发展，共同影响的。

近段时间爆红与网络的二十四节气美食图，以手绘的方式来表达中国的传统文化，使人们重新感受到这一文化，继承的目的不就达到了吗?用新的方式去表达旧的内容，都不是创新吗?可见，继承与创新相互联系，相互影响。并且使人类生活变得更精彩。

我们只有在继承中去创新，在创新中去继承，从传统文化中得到新生事物，传统文化才能生生不息地繁衍下去，人类的文化生活才能更加精彩。

一看到这个题目，我就想起了一个很久以前看过的故事。

有一个钢琴师去参加全国的一个比赛，这一次比赛有很多高手，而他却是一副胸有成竹的样子，前面有很多人上台弹奏了指定的谱子，眼看马上要到他了，他却丝毫不紧张，一副若无其事的样子。终于，轮到他上台了，他满脸微笑地上了台，眼睛飞快地扫了一下评委，之后，他坐在钢琴前，扫了一下曲谱，正准备弹奏时，他发现曲谱中有一处音有错误，他刚开始还有一点儿疑惑，他开始弹奏起来了，弹的确实很好，可弹到那个音的时候，他忽然停了下来，寻思了一会儿，突然站起来对评委说：“这首曲谱这一处地方错了，能否跟我换一首曲子?”评委互相看了一眼，满脸严肃地说：“这首曲子没有任何错误。”可他坚持说这一个音绝对错了，并表示，自己宁愿退出比赛，也不愿意弹这首曲子。他的话还没说完，所有的评委都站起来向他祝贺。他很是莫名其妙，评委们说这是他们设的一个圈套，专门来考验他们是否细心，能不能看出这首曲子中的错误。结果，这个年青人取得了全国大赛第一名。

这个故事给我的启示很深，我好像也有过这种类似的经历。

那大概是小学的时候，我们在上一节思想品德课。那时候，老师把资料板书抄在了黑板上，要我们阅读，然后引入新课，我先漫不经心地读着，可读到后来，我发现后面的话简直牛头不对马嘴，我扫了一下全班同学，好像没有同学发现这篇文章有错误。是啊!谁会想到老师的板书有错误?不一会，老师问：“你们读完了这一段材料没?”“读完了”。我忍不住举起了手，站起来说：“老师，最后一段好像有错误，读不通顺”。顿时，全班同学都开始轰堂大笑起来，老师严肃地叫道：“不要笑!”老师对我说：“这段文字没有错啊!”我坚持说是错了，并对老师说：“那老师你读一下啊!”忽然，老师换了一种语气对我说：“你是对的，这段文字是我故意抄写错的，而今天这堂课我要讲的就是大家不要迷信权威，要敢于坚守自己认为是对的思想，哪怕全世界的人都不理解你，你只要敢于坚持，胜利终将是属于你们的。”最后老师满意的对我笑了，我也笑了。

这告诉了我们一个很重要的道理，这坚守的精神会陪伴我们在今后的人生路上走向成功的彼岸，而那些发现了问题却没有勇气说，或者是那些说了，被权威人士一反搏而放弃自己本来是正确观点的人，应该可以说是永远不会被胜利之神所青睐。

在经济全球化的背景下，各国都面临着各种机遇和挑战。有人选择自保，有人选择携手互助。中国，一个屹立了五千年不倒，一个以和为贵的大国，在这一特殊时期展现着她的大国风范，自身腾飞，也为世界经济的发展作出了突出贡献。

前段时间有外国人在中国高铁上作了个试验，将硬币立在车窗边，可以全程保持不倒，只是在列车进站减速时才有晃动。不服气的网友在日本高铁也做了同样的试验，结果硬币根本立不起来。可见中国高铁平稳度多高了。

但中国没有吝啬自己的技术，积极推动高技术“走出去”。不仅承包工程，还让美国的技术人员来华学习，开设专业课程专门培训，将中国的高铁标准推向世界，促进世界铁路的革新与升级。

曹文轩在《前方》中说，人总有克制不住的离家的欲望。

起先，我们乘着牛拉的车，从泥泞和山路中走出来，再换乘大车小车，*终跻身高楼和车流之间。我们期待着前方的路，学习奋斗，为了在万家灯火中有属于自己的一盏。自行车轮一圈圈转动，吹着口哨骑车的是那个憧憬未来的年轻人儿。慢慢的，年轻人的脸上多了一些老成，时间也如车轮一般转个不停，把自行车转得又老又旧。多了一辆汽车行驶在路上，里面是一个西装革履的人。好像我们终于到了想要到的前方。

但是，人们似乎还是不满意，在另一个地方，把车变得越来越快，把房子变得越来越高，车更快，更稳，可以去到更多的地方，可以越过高山和泥泞，那些我们已经不太去的地方，车可以去了。我们的足迹、我们的心却被这一方小小的金属笼子禁锢了，我们从泥泞中走来，从广袤中走来，从自由中走来，却走进了一方金属，水泥制成的笼子中。我们在此中兜兜转转，忙忙碌碌，乐此不疲。年少时向往的前方，就是在车和房子间切换的生活吗?

后来老成的人也累了，脸上生出几分无奈，开着车回山里的那个小村庄。车行驶在高速公路上，和路边的种.种擦肩而过。不会有在艳阳中，在风雨中，在夕阳的余晖中，在月夜中吟诗作对的游子;我们看不到槲叶落山路，枳花明驿墙，因为我们随时都可以出发，蜀道难也挡不住我们的车。我们的情感也随车一样飞驰，与自然擦肩而过，我们坐在车上，和心中的诗意越来越远。我们的先人一步步走过的泥土，被我们用水泥填平，被无数的车碾过。前方归家的路是如此平坦、快捷。车仿佛把我们的乡愁都变小了，千里之外，也不再是远方。

车让我们在路上这一过程变得没有意义，眼中只在乎前方。刘亮程在《今生今世的证据》里说了句很有意思的话：“我知道所有回家的脚步都已踏踏实实地迈上了虚无之途。”

前方的家，还是我们的精神家园吗?

在车上的人，他们是要归家还是要远行呢?

我们是不是可以从车上下来，慢慢走一走，走一走远行的路，走一走归家的路，不要一味地在意前方。你会发现我们的世界是那样的丰富美好，就像阿尔卑斯山谷中的标语牌说的那样：“慢慢走，欣赏啊!”

记得有一次，数学老师催同学们把试卷交上来，我因数学没学好，很多题目不会做，于是便把数学试卷晾在一边，不闻不问。现在要交试卷了才发现自己的试卷还是空白的，无法交差呀，心里很不是滋味，难过极了。读书写作业，本是天经地义，可是，我连按时交作业都做不到，长此以往，我真的不知道自己以后能做什么。从此，我痛下决心，一定要把数学学好，经过一番艰苦努力，我的数学成绩大有进步，参加比赛还获奖呢!

Save the Wild Animals

Many wild animals are facing the danger of extinction, because the environment that they are living in has changed greatly. For example, with the developmet of cities, the using of insecticide and serious pollution, their living areas have become narrowcr and narrower. Many of the wild animals, now are confronted with food crisis. At the same time, man is killing off species just for getting their fur, skin, horns, teeth and meat.

In order to protect our resources of ecology, people should realize that the loss of any species is at least the loss of source of knowledge and a source of natural beauty. There fore, measures of the following should be taken: pollution standards are made to keepdown poisons; killing off certain rare species is prohibited; national parks should be set up as wild life, reserves.

Only if we human beings take some drastic measures can wild animals be preserved.
