I can do many interesting things there. I am used to getting up early in the morning, breathing the fresh air,listening to the birds singing, and enjoying the green trees, red flowers and the river. I like fishing with my friends. When night comes, I sit under the tree with my grandma, listening to her telling me many funny stories. And I tell her some new things happening in the city. In the morning, a grand flag-raising ceremony in Beijings Tiananmen Square will attract many people.

National Day is commemorated every year by special flag-raising ceremonies. Crowds gathere at Tiananmen Sqaure in Beijing early morning for this event. It was part of the National Day celebrations for the birthday of the Peoples Republic of China.

The national flag was first raised over Tiananmen Square in 1949, marking the birth of New China. And it has been repeated every day since then. The ceremony still attracts the interest of millions of people each year. Although the flag has meant different things to different people, it now rises over a more confident and prosperous country.

Along the Changan Avenue, the major street in downtown Beijing,lamps and colored lights illuminate the whole street.

My summer vacation

My summer vacation of this year was very enjoyable. I went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays. It is very beautiful there. There are green plants, clear rivers, lovely animals and kind people. I spent two weeks helping my grandfather do some farm work there. I wrote down what happened in my diary every day.

Besides that, I helped the children in the neighbourhood with their lessons. I helped them read English and improve their spoken English. Their parents thanked me for this.

Everyone always has a good Sunday. On Sundays， everybody does some things what he like.

Last Sunday， Jack had a relaxing Sunday. He got up 6 o’clock. After breakfast， Jack played basketball with his friends. They were very happy. Then he played the guitar in the room. And he sang songs very loudly. Though it’s very relaxing for him， it also make very noisy for neighbors. Maybe he should turn down the music. At noon， jack fed his pet cat henry.
