Hello, everyone. I am a 16-year-old boy with great confidence. My name is Alek. I am a student from Haimen Dongzhou Middle School.

I love English. I’ve been interested in English since I first learnt it. Gradually, my interest grew and grew, and now, when I speak English, I try to speak it loudly and clearly. In my daily life, I take every chance to practise my English. I am becoming more and more confident in my English ability. I believe nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it. With the help of English. I am sure I will be a man of the world because English is a bridge to the world.

I am fond of playing Ping-pong. Whenever there’s a Ping-pong match, I always try to watch it, to see how the players play and learn their techniques.

I also enjoy music. Music makes me relax and happy. So, I often listen to music while I’m lying in bed. I really enjoy that happy time.

My favourite food is beef. I like it ever so much because I think it’s the most delicious food in the world.

I like the color green best. Green stands for hope and life. It gives life and fills me with energy.

So, that’s me, a boy with great confidence and a lot of hobbies.

“哈哈”考试考完了，终于松了一口气。又要放暑假了，花儿们绽开了笑脸，大树快乐地摇着大手，鸟儿们在枝上跳着舞，唱着歌。我感觉来到了一个快乐的天地，一切正在眉飞色舞地交谈着，“啪”的一声，我的美梦被爸爸使劲推门的声音打碎了。

只见爸爸的眉头皱得都要挨到一起了，牙齿咬得紧紧的，一副恨铁不成钢的样子，对我吼道：“你今天怎么才考了八十八点五呀！”我顿时感到晴天霹雳，怎么也不相信，要知道前几天的考试都是九十分以上的。爸爸把我拉到一边耐心地跟我说：“你这次考试怎么啦？是没检查，还是怎么样的。”我支支吾吾说不出话来。回想语文考试，阅读题我只看了一遍就急急忙忙做了，唉，我真是太粗心了。我默默地站到一旁，低下了头。

放假后的这几天，走在弯弯的小路上，往日那快乐的花儿、大树也似乎变得无精打采，感觉它们的生命都在慢慢地消失。唉！要是可以重新考一次，那我一定细心做题；要是我能像那时活泼乱跳的样子该多好呀！邻居家小朋友玩耍的声音变成了我心里的烦恼，难听的鸟鸣声变成了同学们笑我没考好的声音。

暑假我每到一个地方，很多人用期待的目光看着我，都想知道我的成绩，可是我只能不好意思地笑笑，转身就走。要是我再努力一点，再细心一点就能上九十分了。

为自己喝彩

我们每个人都有自己独特的个性，都有许多闪光点。我的身上虽然有缺点，但我常常为自己爱好广泛而骄傲，我喜欢玩电脑、踢足球、打康乐球……当然最喜欢的就是看课外书和做小制作了。

看课外书既能充分利用我的业余时间，还能为我增添一些课堂里学不到的知识。记得有一次，妈妈忽然流鼻血了，她抬着头忙着撕纸去堵，我突然想起有本书上教的一招：流鼻血时，只要人站立，把与出血的鼻孔相反的那只手向上伸直，或是用细绳绑住这只手的中指(但千万不能抬头)，即可止血。我赶紧把这招告诉妈妈，果然，这招止住了妈妈的鼻血。妈妈问我从那里知道这个小窍门的，我说是从课外书上看来的，妈妈乐了：“看来，你看那么多书，还真有用得上的时候呀。”我心里可得意了。除了看课外书，我还喜欢动手做小制作，一来可以锻炼自己的独立动手能力，练练自己的手工，二来我还可以从做小制作的过程中学到一些有趣的科学道理。有一天，忽然停电了。爷爷在家里点燃了许多蜡烛来照明，奶奶急着要下楼买东西，东摸西找，就是找不着手电筒，楼梯上黑乎乎的，总不能拿着蜡烛下楼吧。奶奶急得直怪爷爷乱收东西，要用时却找不着。我记起曾经做过简易的手电筒，急忙冲进房间，以最快的速度做了一个简易的小手电，奶奶拿着它，买回了东西，直夸我聪明。我嘴

上没说什么，心里乐开了花。

人无完人，金无足赤，我虽然有缺点，但我为我的闪光点自豪!

期末考试，大家总是要经历几次。而每一次的期末考试，都会带给我们不同的感受。

转眼间这一学期将要过去，我们马上要迎来期末考试了，语文、数学、英语面对这它们让我的心脏无法平静下来，咚咚、咚咚。

考试是学生们的命根，刚刚进入考场信心满满，遇到难题心情紧张，看到题目心情像落到万丈深渊，当你放了学看到父母时你的父母会问：考到怎么样?你会信心满满的说：当然考好了!可是事实是那么的残酷，天啊!当时向父母保证会把100分的试卷拿到家中，可考出的分数并不是理想的分数。

看着80多分的卷子心中沉重了很多，如何向父母解释呢?如何向老师交代呢?老实交代?还是欺骗?

期末考试后的烦恼，还有许多。而这些烦恼的来源，都是因为我们平时不认真的后果。以后的我，要好好的学习，争取下次的期末考试能考好。
