People travel by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. For me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot.

Leo Tolstoy once said, everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.

He is right. We always have great plans and dreams in our minds… too ready to achieve something grand thatChanges the world or benefits all of mankind .For example; we hate pollution and have made up our minds to find new energy sources that keep the environment clean. Yet we still litter on the ground. We complain about traffic jams, so we plan to build more highways to solve the problem, but it never occurs to us that our failure to follow traffic regulations is the leading cause of this situation. We are so concerned that the violence in the media has a bad impact on our children, we urge the government to set laws to protect them. But, do we, as adults, set a good example for our kids? Nian, will attack people from time to time. In order to drive it away, people

window at the last day of the Chinese year. Luckily, the monster, Nian, is

afraid of the sound of the firecrackers and the color red; dare not to come any

more. In order to memorialize this day, our ancestors decided that the first

During the Spring Festival, all the member of the family will get together

on the eve to have a big dinner. Fish, apple, noodle, dumplings, poke, chicken,

candies and so on are indispensable on the table. Fish stands for wealth and

rich of the coming year, apple stands for doing things smoothly, noodle stands

for good health and long live, as to the others, they all symbolize for the

lucky and happiness of the coming year.

Children are the happiest ones during the Spring Festival, not only they

早就听说朝天店的美食，今天，我和爸爸妈妈一起去朝天店，我们看着菜单，一个不留神就点了六个菜，分别是凤爪、排骨、鸭舌、鲈鱼等，妈妈说：“点多了。”爸爸说：“知道，要光盘，吃不完打包。”第一个上来的是我最喜欢凤爪，我的口水都快要流出来了，马上就一筷子吸取，那有点酸辣的味道一下子弥漫开来，激活我的味蕾。第一只凤爪还没下肚，第二盘排骨又上桌了，看着那色香味俱全的排骨，放在嘴里，那浓郁的酸甜裹着酥脆的排骨，太美味了，真让人爽到极点。我们津津有味地吃着，直到再也吃不下去了。饭吃完，我们共打包了2碗菜：半条鲈鱼和小半碟炒肉，其余也都做到了“光盘”。看着干干净净的盘子，服务员还给我发了小礼品，一个小熊，哈哈 好可爱。

晚上回到家，妈妈把打包来的菜重新炒了一下，炒肉加了点大蒜，鲈鱼又炸了一下，“光盘”行动，剩菜在我们的打理，吃的很干净。光盘是一种美德，也是一种责任，希望光盘能够成为我们的习惯，光盘行动，我很光荣。
