my dream When I was a little girl, I had a dream to be a famous writer. I remembered that I made a big decision to realize my dream that I started my first writing of a novel. I was a skinny little school-girl with glasses who dreamt up characters with qualities I longed to embody – they were pretty and powerful and lived lives full of intrigue and drama. at college, i missed my parents a lot. as the term was drawing to an end, i eagerly looked forward to going home. and i planned to do a thousand and one things during the vacation. above all, i wanted to help my mother with housework. i also wished to read many hooks which my teachers had recommended.

I am in Xianchi Railway MiddleSchool. There are about 40 teachers and 900

students in my school. Its very large with two small gardens. Some small trees

and flowers are planted. We enjoy beautiful flowers in spring, summer and

autumn. They are the places the students like most. There are two modern

teaching buildings and a teaching building in my school. Our classrooms are

large and bright. We feel so happy to study in such comfortable classrooms.

Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There were twelve students in the final contest. I was one of them.

Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty.

Then I took a deep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. I am sure I will be better next time.
