Good morning, dear judges!

My name is Joyce. Today I will give a speech about How To Be A Happy Kid.

Everyone deserves to have a happy childhood. We all know, life isn’t

easy all the time, even for children.

One time I didn’t do well on a math test. It was the first time for me

to get such a low mark. I felt miserable about it. When I got home, without

saying a single word to my parents, I rushed into my own room. I sat down

in front of my piano. Unconsciously, music came out from my fingers. I was

playing the music, I felt very calm and happy.

前年冬天，邻居阿姨送给我几只蚕宝宝，我很开心，因为我早就听说过关于蚕宝宝的一些有趣的事情。

moon cakes came on sale shortly before festival time. in the past， one could get some cakes shaped like pagodas， others like a horse and rider， fish or animals. still others were decorated with the images of rabbits， flowers， or goddesses. there were a myriad of different fillings available： sugar， melon seeds， almonds， orange peel， sweetened cassia blossom， or bits of ham and preserved beef. the cakes are of the northern and southern styles， but the latter (also called guangdong-style) are the most popular and are available throughout the country.

the round shape of cakes just symbolizes not only the moon but also the unity of the family. therefore the mid-autumn festival is actually a day for family reunion.

春天来了，万物复苏，大地吐绿，也是养蚕的好季节。

我的好友张钟情送我一张布满小米班大小的黑黑的蚕种。每个蚕种中间都有凹点，不久，小蚕破壳而出，跟小蚂蚁差不多大;黑褐色，头大身小身上长满细毛，大约两天后身上毛不见了。他仰着头东张西望，好像在找东西吃，可它太小还不能吃整片的桑叶。我只好把叶撕成碎片，洒在盒子里面喂它。

小蚕非常贪吃，只要它一吃桑叶就不肯放下，大嚼起来不知饱，不管什么时候看它，它总是在吃，如果它正在吃得高兴时，你硬把它拉下来，就死死抱住桑叶不肯放下。只好把桑叶也带起来了，那馋样毫无绅士风度。它长得可快了!有时，它一夜就可以长几毫米长呢!

有一次，我去看蚕宝宝正在干什么，我一看，呀!蚕宝宝一动不动的趴在那里，好像生病了，我急得像热上的蚂蚁就急得团团转急忙找来妈妈问是什么回事。妈妈说：“孩子，蚕宝宝不动是要脱皮了。”我说：“是这样呀!蚕宝宝没有生病呀!”大约过了一两个小时，我再来看它们时，呀!有好多蚕都在脱皮呀!它们先从嘴角裂开一条缝接着不断地收缩蠕动身子，然后慢慢地从皮里钻出来，刚脱皮的小蚕已换上了新妆——白嫩的蚕宝宝。

蚕宝宝每脱一次皮就长大很多，更使劲的吃桑叶，它围绕着桑叶的边缘来回的咀嚼，吃叶的时候发出“沙沙”的声响，不仔细听的人还以为是下雨呢!一片桑叶几分钟就进入它们口中，蚕渐渐长大，然后又脱皮，等它脱了四次皮后才发育成熟。

蚕宝宝一个月左右已长成大了，这时惨淡眉目清秀，胸部透亮，头上有对小眼睛，前下方的嘴又在吐丝孔，四对胸足与尾巴帮助它运动。在簸箕里面扭来扭去的样子十分可爱，我不是的用手摸摸它那肥胖的身子。

蚕宝宝过了不长时间后就不吃叶子，它围着簸箕到处爬;原来它是在找好地方开始吐丝，它围绕自己的身体吐出一根白丝，不久后就把身体包在里面。我看不见蚕了，便问妈妈：“蚕在里面干什么?”妈妈告诉我：“蚕变成茧，把自己包在里面不吃不喝，接着变成红赤色蚕蛹，大约十来天后蚕会成蛾，蚕蛾会咬破茧出来产卵它就这样繁殖后代。”听后，我感到蚕真是一个大魔术师。

蚕全身都是宝，它把一切读献给人类，件事丝织品的原料美化了人们的生活。蚕蛹是化工的原料可制作酱油，它的粪便是农家的有机肥料。

亲弃疾写“春蚕到死丝方尽”是蚕的一生真实写照，听说一条蚕可吐丝三千米以上;你看小小的蚕儿难道不是世界上的一宝吗?当你看到那精巧绚丽的绫罗绸缎时，你会为这小蚕儿创造的奇迹而惊叹;更被它们平时默默无闻的辛苦劳作最后献出自己宝贵生命为人类作贡献的精神所感动。它那鞠躬尽瘁死而后已的精神值得我们学习。
