Ii. Matters needing attention during holidays for students and parents

1. Parents should guide their children to make reasonable holiday plans and spend time with them watching TV programs and news reports about New Years Day, so as to know about folk customs and get familiar with traditional culture; To understand national achievements and enhance patriotic feelings; We should expand our cultural horizon and cultivate our national feelings.

2. Parents should guide their children to read more beneficial extra-curricular reading materials. While enjoying the holidays, they should also urge their children to finish their homework on time and take part in more labor and practical activities. Have a fulfilling, happy and meaningful vacation.

Parents should teach their children to obey the law and strictly observe social ethics. There was once a little girl that wanted to live in peace, but she couldn’t

One day the little girl called Anna went to pick mushrooms in the forest

with her friends. She picked plenty of mushrooms and walked deep into the

forest. It gradually became dark, and Anna wanted to go home, she called her

friends; but they were nowhere to be found. She wanted to go home on her own,

she walked and walked into the forest; it seemed as if it had no end. At last,

she found a tiny little house, Anna walked close to it.

“Remember bear, if you eat one tart, I shall know immediately;” the bear went to

fetch his walking stick, in the meantime;Anna hid herself in the basket, and the

bear set off from home.

He walked a distance and said to himself, “I shall eat one apple tart;”

suddenly he heard Anna’s voice saying, “Big bear I’ve caught you!” “Oh my, oh

my!” cried the bear, “I had better walk a while before eating any of the tarts…”

As he said that, the bear started off again. After he was far from home, he

said; “I shall rest here, and in the meantime eat one apple tart…” Suddenly he

heard Anna’s voice saying again, “Big bear; I’ve caught you again!” “Oh my, oh

my!” cried the bear, “That girl must have magic eyes!” then he started off once

again.

When he at last reached his journeys end, he placed the basket in front of

Anna’s front door, and walked away from home. When Anna’s mom and dad opened the

door, they saw Anna jump out from the basket and running to them. There was no

chance of saying how happy they were!

Today， I played a game of legend in school. The first student in each group

went to the front desk to read the words on the paper. One group had 20

students， the first one in our group， whispered to the next one that we were

going to raise the flag together， but the ninth one heard that we were going to

kill chickens together， so she gave it to us. The last one said we were going to

kill chickens together， and the last one said aloud that we were going to kill

chickens together. We all laughed loudly. Haha， it was so funny. He upgraded us

together and said that the game of killing chickens together was so funny. I

must share it with my parents when I go home. I play this little game with them.

I also want to tell my parents that joke. My parents must say its too

funny.

The king accepted the offer of General Lord, and so took the party

decorations, and decorated the main hall, and then made the treats, and invited

all the people here, “What do you want proud king?” “I want to give you a party,

to say that I am sorry for all the bad deeds I have done.”

“It’s about time proud king. Ha!” and then the music began; they danced all

night, and sang. Everybody thought that the king just wanted them to give him

back; but they already realized that they had already made Milan the king. And

so they went to the palace, and told him that they wanted the old king back; and

that he should get off the throne.

Milan was very angry by these words, and so sent guards to arrest him. Just

then the old king approached, he knew that Milan loved to dance, and that he

couldn’t bear not to. He took the music box here, and began to dance. As he

said, Milan began to dance, and he pushed him aside; which allowed him to sit,

and that was how the old king became king again.”

The phone rings. He hears the ringing. He picks up the phone. He says

hello. The other person says hello. The other person is his mom. She talks to

him. He talks to her. She finishes talking. She says goodbye. He says goodbye.

They hang up. He waits. The phone rings again.

As time goes by, people are being busier and busier with working, such as

signing their contracts, meeting their customers, drawing up the balance sheets

of their companies and so on. In this circumstance, people forget our most

excellent skill--smile.

Dear Mary,

Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last!

) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at

the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the

afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions. There is a bus from

the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city

and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station. To get to my place in the

eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the

train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right

at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my

place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you

will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian

will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my

flat. Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some

exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is

only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window. Cheers and looking

forward to seeing you.
