But on this years National Day, I spent a whole night roaming Nanjing Road and the Bund the symbol of the modern material Shanghai, with my roommates. Its the first time that I went out with them. With the huge amount of tourists, we could only wander with the cluster of people, having no destination. In the crowd, we entertained ourselves singing, joking and chatting, leaving all the worries, pressures and unhappiness behind,until mid night. Tired as we were, we still felt very happy. My roommates were quite impressed by the beauty, prosperity and the liveliness of Shanghai. But for me, all these were none of my business. What I treasured was the time I shared with them though that night Shanghai was so charming that she seemed to be one of the leading cities in the world.

I met my best friend in senior one. She is a girl with long legs, white skin, and small face. What makes me a deep impression is her wide shoulder, wider than other girls who have the same height as her. She was kind, treating me just like I was her sister. I didn’t live in school dormitory, but she did. So, I slept with her at noon. Sometimes we argued, but we both checked our mistakes and recovered our relationship soon. When we were senior two, I moved in school dormitory, I didn’t feel comfortable in there very fast. She took care of me and made me feel warm. As for my teachers, my chemistry teacher is my favorite teacher. She is a woman with sweet smile, not so tall, but she built a tall imagination in my heart. As the drawing presents, there is a man walking across the street absorbedly focusing on his cell phone without noticing the surroundings. This sort of phenomenon is not uncommon and rare in some metropolis, especially among the youngsters.

What the picture illustrates is the prevailing situation that has long existed in todays China. That is the mobile phone obsession. With the advent of information age, people are becoming

increasingly fascinated on the electronic products, especially the cell phones. Not surprisingly, you could easily notice that most of us are obsessed in sending messages, playing online games with their mobile phones. It cannot be denied that this phenomenon may negatively impact the relationship among people, and therefore they will become estranged and isolated.

Personally, in view of the overuse of mobile phones, I hold that we individuals should raise the necessary awareness that good relationships are reinforced by sincere and face-to-face

communication.
