Christmas is the most important festival in the western world.It falls on December 25th.When my mother and Istayed in America,we were invited by one of my mothers friends to have Christmas with an American family.We bought some presents for our American friends on our way to their house.They had prepared different kinds of gifts for their family and guests when we got to their house,such as Christmas candles,cakes,cards,little toys,biscuits and so on.A Christmas tree was placed in the comer of the brilliant hall.How beautiful it was！We were impressed by these.We had abig meal.After dinner,they told us some interesting stories about Christmas.We learned that Christmas had something to do with God.We went to bed at midnight.Though we knew the Santa Claus was not true,we were still waiting for the Santa Claus with white beard to bring us presents.And we received many beautiful presents the next morning.This Christmas was really unforgettable.Not only did Ihave agood time,but also Iknew something about foreign culture.

冬天是香气扑鼻的，在北风呼呼的冬天里，依然能闻到像春天那样迷人的芳香，令人陶醉，那就是梅花的香气。它的香味是那么的扑鼻，那么的典雅，感觉十分舒畅，还有梅花她那不畏严寒傲然挺立的精神，让我不禁想起“墙角数枝梅，凌寒独自开。遥知不是雪，为有暗香来。”的诗句，真是一点不错啊!我喜爱冬天，怀念冬天，喜爱冬天那种脱俗的美，喜爱冬天里梅花那不畏严寒的精神，我爱冬天!

清晨，窗外大雪纷飞，已是一片银装素裹的世界。雪花柳絮般飘扬在风中，形态万千，晶莹透亮。我走下楼，视线中出现了一抹鹅黄，原来是一株梅花在风雪中傲然挺立，花蕾欣然绽放，散发着幽香。不惧那寒风刺骨，与飞雪凛冽。在这银白雪花中，一切植物都卑躬屈膝，黯然失色，只有这一株梅花迎寒开放，笑傲冰雪。

凝视着那一株梅花，我的脑海中不禁想起了那篇陈慧瑛写的文章《梅花魂》：“这梅花，是我们中国最有名的花。旁的花，大抵是春暖才开花，她却不一样，愈是寒冷，愈是风欺雪压，花开得愈精神，愈秀气。她是最有品格、最有灵魂、最有骨气的！”是啊，梅花是我们中华民族的象征，它那种顶天立地、不肯低头折节，不畏磨难，坚忍不拔的精神正是我们中国应有的气概。

正如毛主席的诗>写到的那样：风雨送春归，飞雪迎春到，已是悬崖百丈冰，犹有花枝俏……梅花不仅仅坚忍不拔、坚贞不屈，而且梅花可以制作成食品，也可以泡茶，为人们无私奉献，却默默无闻。

耳畔依稀响起那句诗，“待到山花烂漫时，她在丛中笑”……

How is it going these days? I keep wondering how you feel about your school life in Beijing. Have you got used to the life in China? Are you enjoying your life? I hope you are.

Let me tell you a piece of good news: I’m going to take part in an English speech contest of middle school students in July in the coming summer vacation. So I’m busy preparing for it. But now I have some difficulty in collecting useful information and using proper English word to express my thoughts. How I Spent My Summer Vacation The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running rowing, to keep me physically strong. It stood to reason that with such a good plan I should make the best of my vacation time. I did, because I lived up to what I had planned.

暑假有来了。我很高兴我能忘掉学校至少一段时间。免得我我浪费了这个暑假,我做了一个计划如何度过我的暑假。首先,我认为我应该复习所有我的老师一学期教的那些东西,这样我就可以有更好的理解。然后我想我应该参加一些不同形式的运动,如散步、跑步划船、让我身体强壮。它的原看在这样的一个很好的计划,我应该好好利用我的休假。事实上我也这么 做了,因此我没有辜负了我的计划。
