I am working on a new project which is called A Survey of New Industry in the Maywood District. According to the design of our district, we need information about firms that have recently moved into this area. Your firm is one of the largest of these, so I shall be very grateful if you can spare the time to help me.

我家的小狗有一对像黑宝石一样的眼睛，一张大大的嘴巴总是微笑着，它还有一身黑白黄相间的毛，一条尾巴只有大拇指长。

它吃饭的时候很有意思。它总是看着我给它盛饭，那期待的眼神好像是想让我多给它盛一点。在吃饭的时候，谁也不能碰它的饭碗，只要碰一下饭碗，它就会发出让人害怕的声音。

它最喜欢跟我出去玩了。每天下午放学，它就会非常兴奋地让我给它拴上绳子，带它下去遛弯。到了一楼，它会飞快地跑出电梯，来到它最熟悉的草地上，选一块草多的地方在上面打滚儿，起来的时候把自己弄得全身都是土。

回到家的时候你不得不给它洗个澡。我会先放一盆水，然后把它放进去。给它洗澡的时候一定要按着它，否则它会扭动身体溅得到处都是水。洗完后再拿电吹风给它吹干，这时它会乖乖地趴在你的身边，或是躺在你的身上等着你把它身上的毛吹得干干的，那样子简直舒服极了！

小狗是一种机警的小动物，很讨人喜欢。

它身上黄色的毛，光滑得好像搽过油一样，在阳光下闪着金光。它小小的脸庞上，嵌着一对亮晶晶的小眼睛。小小的耳朵是它的指挥神器，一听见响声，就立刻前去一探究竟。小小的鼻子非常灵敏。它四肢灵活，行动敏捷，跑起来非常快。一条长长的尾巴喜欢翘得高高的摇来摇去，向主人表示友好。

小狗最喜欢吃的是我和爸爸给它买的狗粮，它吃东西的时候非常享受，总是先闻一闻味道，然后狼吞虎咽地吃了起来。吃饱了的小狗十分快活，总喜欢和我赛跑、玩耍。

我的阿姨家有一条可爱的小狗，名字叫做豆豆。

这只小狗是宠物狗，圆圆的嘴巴，小巧玲珑的身子，大大的眼睛，小小的鼻子，显得非常机灵。

它的毛色是棕色的，不算特别顺，但是很长，他不爱干净，总爱往泥巴或者水坑里钻，每次都能得一身脏，阿姨还得给它洗澡，洗澡的时候他也不乖，在水里折腾，一会，盆里的水就被他都折腾到外面去了，一滴不剩。

他特别喜欢吃！在你吃东西的时候，嘴巴要嚼食物，如果被他看见你在咀嚼食物，他就会叫个不停，让你给他一点吃的东西，如果不给他，他就一直叫下去，直到很长时间以后，他自己发觉了，就装作一副可怜巴巴的样子，阿姨可心疼他了，忍不住喂它点吃的，实在是受不了他那副样子。

阿姨每天晚上都把它抱在床上睡觉，叔叔也特别喜欢豆豆，每天都和豆豆玩，我一到阿姨家去，就抱起豆豆来到处跑，后来，豆豆丢了，过了好几天，有人把它抱去养了，但是，豆豆爱闹，很淘气，不到几天那家人就受不了了，贴了个传单“寻狗启示”阿姨去富力城偶然发现，才把豆豆抱回来。

几个星期后，我上阿姨家去，见豆豆被绳子拴着，他长大了，一定是不听话让那个阿姨拴起来了！

我把绳子解下来，问阿姨能拽着豆豆溜溜他吗？阿姨说可以。我就兴高采烈的和豆豆壹快玩去了，不知为什么，他总爱往草丛里钻，我带它走过怡水花园的大铁桥，他现在很小，但是可胖了，我抱它抱个十分钟就累的气喘吁吁了，我带它爬小山，他倒是自在，因为我费力抱着它呢！

以后，我每次去阿姨加，第一件事就是抱着豆豆玩，看着他这么可爱，我恨不得每天都抱着它做事。

小白浑身雪白，可爱至极，冬天绻着睡觉的时候就像一个雪白的毛球，滚在地上让你真假真分。它还长着一副小小的耳朵，好似一个三角形。平时，家里没人时候，它就一动不动的，仿佛在听着周围的动静的，就像一个在看家的哨兵。它的眼睛一闪一闪的，就像两颗星星，一眨一眨的。它的鼻子就像白色的毛球上的一个污渍。它的鼻子还时不时喘着粗气，好像正在生气。它的嘴巴还常常伸出一个舌头，在看着我的时候，就像跟我要狗粮吃呢！我还听说狗的舌头伸出来是为了散热，因为身上没有毛孔。它的四条腿又细又短，但特别灵活。还有它的尾巴总是一摇一晃的，它身体往左，尾巴就往右，身体往右，尾巴就往左，其实这样就是为了平衡，不知道的人以为它在跳舞呢！

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study in Britain for two years.

I enclose a detailed curriculum vitae and an offprint of my article, together with two letters of recommendation from Dr. Li Ming and Dr. Ma Li.

I like to see American TV series so much, because not only the plot

attracts me so much, but also I can learn the English spoken language. Recently,

I fall in love with Two Broke Girls, it is so funny and makes me laugh happily.

Besides the humorous plot, I am also inspired by the characters’ spirit. Though

the two girls are poor and work as the waitress in the small restaurant, they

never give up their dreams. They make the plans for their dreams, even they meet

all kinds of difficulties, they are still positive about their future. I learn

things from them, I keep the positive attitude towards life.

朋友家有一条小狗，名叫多多。

多多有一身雪白的毛，一双黑溜溜的小眼睛。因为它的毛很长，所以从远处看像一个会动的小雪球。

一天我到朋友家串门，一开门，多多就从门后跳了出来，凶猛地站在门口对着我大叫。那小模样儿，我估计只要有坏人靠近，多多一定能给坏人咬个措手不及。

朋友要出国旅游，把多多送到我家寄养几天。嘿嘿，这下子我可以和多多玩儿个够了。

晚上刚写完作业，一阵睡意向我袭来。这时多多跑来用它的毛蹭我的手，我刚有些不耐烦，天啊，多多不知从哪里来的一股神秘力量，一跳一扑，不偏不倚正落在我的腿上，把我惹得开怀大笑。

由于奶奶十分讨厌小动物，所以只同意多多在我的房间里玩儿，但绝不能进奶奶的房间。万万没想到，多多才来了几天，胆儿越来越肥，竟跑到奶奶的房间里“大闹天宫”，刚好被奶奶抓了个正着。奶奶给了它一脚，它生气了，竟然跳到床上印了好几个黑色的梅花，还在被单上撒尿。当然啦，后果只有一个，就是我和它一起被骂。

我的家乡玉环风景优美，物产丰富。是个可爱的地方。

玉环有座大鹿岛，每年吸引了上百万游客。特别是到了夏天很多人到岛上避暑。岛上很凉爽，因为岛上种满了树木。到退潮的时候人们会纷纷跑到沙滩上捡贝壳、看风景、堆沙子。

玉环的美食躲在每一个角落，它可能在人们篮子里，可能在吆喝声中。但是往往是海鲜最吸引人们特别是鱼岛上的海鲜，人们不但是吃海鲜，而且还去体验捕鱼的乐趣。

“小香港”是人们送给玉环的另一个名字。因为玉环经济发展水平很高，是中国的百强县之一，也是因为玉环人们的消费水平很高。玉环也被称为“阀门之都”因为玉环人民生产的阀门闻名世界。
