“闹闹——”每当我叫这个名字的时候，总会看见一只深棕色的泰迪犬飞快地跑过来，这就是我们家养的小狗——“闹闹”。

“闹闹”的头活像一个滚圆滚圆的皮球，上面点缀着一双水汪汪的、犹如水晶球般的小眼睛。眼睛下面是一个黑色的小鼻子，在棕色的头上格外显眼。脑袋两边长着一对蒲扇似的大耳朵。但“闹闹”最有特点的则是全身的卷毛，仿佛是满地的棉花。卷毛下面有四条短短的腿，别看它短小，跑起来犹如离弦的箭一般。

Children’s education has been concerned by the public all the time. As they

are the future and will decide a country’s destiny, so the environment matters

so much to them. Most parents expect the school can provide the children a good

learning environment and ignore the importance of home education.

School provides the children a direct stage to receive education. In the

school, the teachers pass knowledge and educate them the right value. The

children know their task and as everybody around them focus the attention on

study, so they are affected by each other and have the strong desire to

learn.

Home education is easy to be ignored by most parents, they think it is the

teachers’ duty to educate children. Actually, most criminal teenagers have

family issues. Parents haven’t set good example for the kids. Sometimes they are

even the trouble makers. Without love, teenagers won’t grow up as the strong

people.

Both school and family environment are important for the children, and they

need to be nurtured with the good examples and learn knowledge.

邻居家有一条博美狗，叫毛豆，它特别可爱，周围的一些邻居都喜欢它。尤其是我，一回家就去找它玩。

我认识很多小动物，有小猴子、梅花鹿、还有小鸭子……但是我最喜欢的小动物是小狗。

小狗全身毛茸茸的，小耳朵像一把小铲子，眼睛乌黑乌黑的，配上那对黑眼眶，别提多帅气了。它的鼻子湿湿的，嘴巴大大的，一张开嘴，就看见了一排又尖又锋利的牙齿 ，粉红色的小舌头，有时候吐出来，有时候缩进去。最可爱的要数它像钟摆一样的尾巴。

我家的小狗是有名的“贪吃鬼”。有一次妈妈正在给我们做好吃的午餐时，小狗如风一样飞快地跑来了厨房，眼睛巴巴的地望着锅里的饭菜，又可怜又可爱，还不时留下了口水，我真担心他会把美味饭菜全吃光。

我们家的小狗是不是很可爱呀！

去年暑假，妈妈去宠物店给我买了一只雪白可爱的小狗。我给它取了一个名字叫“乖乖”。

它有一双黑宝石似的眼睛，一个又圆又黑的小鼻子，两只大耳朵软巴巴的粘在头上，一张小巧的嘴巴，一身洁白如雪白的绒毛，脚掌像一朵盛开的小梅花，尾巴只有三尺长，看上去非常讨人喜爱。

乖乖的性格十分古怪。白天，它像懒虫一样趴在自己窝里，舒舒服服地睡大觉。夜晚，我把它抱到阳台，关上阳台门，乖乖被吓了一跳，我走了，它就在阳台上冲来冲去，把我在阳台栽的花弄得枝折花落。

它也很贪玩。有一次，我把乖乖带到了草地。这时，有一位阿姨带者她的小狗走了过来，乖乖看到了，马上跑过去，先和那个狗碰碰鼻子，然后乖乖把我给它带的食物一半分给了那个狗，渐渐地，它们熟悉了，开始玩起来。接着，乖乖的胆子越来越大，竟然爬到了别的狗身上，把她按倒，去咬那只狗的耳朵。时间过得真快，马上到了晚上，可乖乖还想跟那只狗玩，我怎么拉也拉不走，只好让它再玩一会了。你说乖乖是不是很贪玩呀？

乖乖也很挑剔。有一次，我把它的早餐放得少了一点，乖乖看见了，就汪汪大叫，好像在责备人们供养不周，我见了赶紧给它加满。

我的狗狗是不是很有趣呀！

我家有一只小狗，它非常可爱。

它的头比身子还大，耳朵像两片大大的桐树叶一样贴在头的两边，眼睛像两颗黑珍珠一样亮晶晶的，还有一个又黑又亮的大鼻子，身子后面的尾巴像一片苹果树叶子，可漂亮啦！

仔仔长着瘦瘦的身体，穿着一件土黄色的外套。平时都是耷拉着耳朵，但是只要一见到陌生人耳朵一下子就竖起来，同时对着陌生人汪汪大叫。它那漆黑发亮的眼睛像珠子似的，整天滴溜溜地转；嘴巴像个长筒形状又长又尖；黄色的小爪子像四朵梅花；那条翘起的尾巴总是悠闲的不停摇摆着，样子十分讨人喜欢。

仔仔的嗅觉格外灵敏，每次我边走边吃牛肉干下楼时，它总在我身旁边又蹦又跳，仿佛是闻到了香味，也想吃一块呢！我扔了一把牛肉干在地上，它立刻张开筒子嘴像秋风扫落叶一样把牛肉干吃个精光，同时围着我转圈，还在地上给我打滚，如同给我表演精彩的节目，经常引得大家哈哈大笑！

每当夜幕降临时，主人还没有出现，它总会无精打采地趴在门边等待主人。如果主人的车开回来了，它就会摇头摆尾迫不及待地扑向主人身上舔个不停，无比亲热。仔仔不但忠实主人而且智商也挺高。有一次，我放学回家经过人行横道线时，发现它居然直觉遵守交通规则呢！红灯亮时，它蹲在那里一动不动，绿灯亮，嗖地一声，只见它像离弦的箭一般飞驰而过。啊！你说它聪不聪明？

仔仔真是一只可爱的小狗！

I’m Li Hua, one of your students in China. It’s almost a month since you left us. We all miss you and are very grateful for what you did for us.

We are busy as usual. We had an English speech contest the other day. I won the first prize! This again reminds me of all your kind help. Do you still remember the trees we planted together on the hill behind the school? Yesterday, we went there and watered them. The tree you planted yourself is growing well, and the whole class decided to name it Sue Wood. Will you come back to see Sue Wood?

我的大妈妈家，有一头可爱的小狗叫做“妞妞小狗。

“妞妞”十分可爱，有灰白相间的毛十分柔软，大大的眼睛十分美丽，黑黑的鼻子油亮亮的可真漂亮。在地上满地打滚，小小的爪子像四朵梅花十分美丽，小小的尾巴一直摇又摇，可真惹人喜爱呀！

妞妞一天到晚到处跑着一会跑到阳台，一会跑到客厅，肚子饿的时候会一直要我伸爪子。为了让我给他好吃的，渴的时候会在水台边上摇摇尾巴，用爪子挠我的腿，让我给他一点水喝。妞妞也会很乖呢！有人摸它会用身子蹭那个人也会在地上打滚，小小的肚子可好玩了，有别的小狗欺负它，它可是“女中豪杰”一点也不怕其他小狗，打得他们满地找牙，一直嚎叫然后匆匆而逃，其他小狗被打的十分狼狈，十分可怜。我拿着鸡腿到外面去玩，后面不知道好像有人来向我走过来我一个回头原来是妞妞啊，吓的我一身冷汗。

这就是天真可爱的小狗——妞妞。

When I was in grade four in primary school, my father taught me how to use

computer. After that, I was very interested in playing computer. I watched

movies, played computer games, searched the Internet and listened to the music

on computer. Because my father must work in his computer, so he bought another

for me. I was very happy that I had my own computer. It was put in the study. I

am always very careful to use my computer, because I am worried I would break. I

often chat with my net friends. Because of my computer, I make many friends who

have many in common. Of course, I use my computer in study. There are resources

on the Internet. I can learn more after class. It does great help to me.

Dear Mr. Wang,

Thank you for a rapid response to our invitation. Enclosed you will find an outline of events to take place during International Week here at the University of Montana. I will also list a number of possible speaking engagements so that you can choose those things in which you are most interested. As far as topics are concerned, the topics for classroom visits are generally determined by the professor, but most professors are very flexible. We have approximately thirty-five faculty members that teach courses in Asian Studies, ranging from language and culture to history and economics.

Here is a tentative schedule:

Sunday, April 8th

10 am - Cultural Exhibition opens

12 am - International Festival begins with a speech by the university president and an introduction of visiting dignitaries

1-5 pm - Opportunity to visit festival, interact with student performers, taste foods

6 pm - Dinner with Director of Mansfield Center Phil West, Ambassador Mark Johnson, and staff of Mansfield Center

As you can see, there is tremendous interest in China here at the University of Montana. Please let me know if this outline suits your purpose, and if not, please dont hesitate to offer any suggestions for changes. We can arrange as many or as few speaking engagements as you have time for.
