although we have advanced machines and our life seemsmorecomfortable than before, we have less chances to approachnaturesand less spaces to act. the cities become bigger and if wewant tohave a picnic with our friends, we have to drive a longdistance tofind a natural place. in fact, the spaces of humanactivity arebeing damaged by the skyscrapers and factories.from the above statements, we can conclude that humanactivitybrings the earth many damages. fortunately people haverecognizedthe point and i believe that the earth will become abetter placeto live with our ceaseless efforts.

夜里，我做了一个梦，梦见地球妈妈在哭，她伤心地说：“不要再往我身上扔垃圾了，大家快快来救我吧！”忽然，我一下子从梦中醒来，吓出一身冷汗。

今天，我和爸爸妈妈一起坐火车回我思念已久的家乡。人在火车上，思绪早已经飞到了家乡。我想，一到家乡，就马上去山间的树上，掏鸟蛋，去小河里钓鱼或游泳。想到这里，我的心情特别兴奋。我们终于回到了家乡，可是一到村子，以前清澈见底的小河上飘着垃圾，有不要的菜叶、塑料袋，还有死鸡死鸭……活蹦乱跳的小鱼和可爱的小虾也无影无踪了。我立马向山上跑去，呀！树木全都被人们砍了，只剩下光秃秃的木桩了。树木好像在说：“我正在流血，不要再砍了好疼呀！”连小鸟们也无家可归了。这时，叔叔叫我回家吃饭了。我问叔叔：“家乡环境怎么变得这么差了？”叔叔皱着眉头，叹了口气说：“村子后面有一个工厂，工厂里头天天排出废气，让空气变坏了。而且工厂的脏水已排到了河里，把小鱼和小虾也赶走了。有时脏水还排到了稻田里，庄稼都干枯了。工厂里的人们经常砍树，让小鸟们也无家可归了。每当人们经过小河时，都会捏住鼻子，不想闻到小河里的臭味。”听到这里，让我想起了晚上的梦，心都快碎了，沉重无比。

Nowadays, a new lifestyle called carbon life is spreading every corner of our country. The conceps of low carbon are low energy and no waste. Firstly, a no-car day is supposed to set up every week in our city. Because cars not only cause serious air pollution but also waste energy. Its a good idea to go to school or go to work by bus,on foot and bu subway.

Secondly, we had better not use plastic bags any more. Nobody can stand the "white pollution".As we all know, people cant get the free plastic bags in the shops or supermarkets. Now in this way, people pay more attention to the environment and use fewer plastic bags. Instead of using the plastic bags, wed better use the cloth bags or use bags which can be reused again and again.

Finally, one thing that we should keep in mind, we should turn off the lights when we leave, turn of the tap in time, and reuse our textbooks and bottles. We shouldnt spit in a public place and we shouldnt trow litter onto the ground. We should plant more flowers and trees and we must pick up some rubbish and throw it into the dustbin.

In a word, let us try our best to protect the environment. If everyone makes contribution to portecting the environment, the world will become much more beautiful.

You want to know sthe changes about my hometown. You know, great changes have taken place since 60 years ago.

In the past, the living conditions were very poor. There were not many buses or cars, and the roads were narrow. Usually, a big family was crowed into a small, dark house. Most families couldn’t get enough food. The communications were simple and slow. People kept in touch with their friends and relatives far away mainly by letter or telegram.

Thanks to the government, our hometown has developed rapidly in recent years. The living conditions are much better and more comfortable. The roads are wide. Some people have their own cars. Most of the people have lived in big new houses. Quite a few adults have mobile phones. Because of many good policies, I think our lives will become better and better.

一转眼十年过去了，家乡变了，环境变得十分好，街道一尘不染，也引进了高科技。每天都有机器人分解垃圾、净化水资源。街道旁边种满了绿树，大地绿树成荫，像个绿色的无污染的清新世界。人类驯服了青蛙，它让害虫无处可逃;家乡四周的绿树，它让空气更加清新。人们过着无忧无虑的生活。

十年前可不是这样的。道路上的地面十分泥泞，一不小心就会滑倒，比冰面还滑。那时人们贪图方便，把垃圾随手丢进小溪、路边，长年累月小溪被污染，臭气熏天，人们都绕道而行。山上也光秃秃的，因为人们大量砍伐树木，有的树木随着柴烟中消失了，有的被用来盖房子，有的被用来取火，间接污染了空气。很多人也因此得了疾病，那时的家乡，是那么的糟糕啊!

现在好了，我一定会好好珍惜现在的环境。

Protecting the Environment

With the improvement of our living standard, more and more people can afford a car. As a result, our roads are more often than not crammed with cars. However, with more and more waste gas being discharged by the cars, the problem of air pollution becomes even more serious. So nowadays we advocate to lead a low-carbon life.

My suggestion is we should ride bikes more often instead of driving cars.By riding a bike, we can not only exercise our body but also protect our environment. Why not have a try, my dear friends?
