Girls at a training course offered by the "Care for Girls" program in

Qingjian county, Shaanxi province, talked about their pursuit of dreams despite

living in unfavorable conditions.

sometimes. The rent of our apartment is expensive. One more child means one more

burden," Yan said.

Speaking about how she plans to achieve her dream of becoming a teacher, Xi

said: "I will not give up on my dream easily, though I know it may be difficult.

When something becomes difficult, it only makes me want to try harder."

It was Mother’s Day. Sun Zheng thought he should do something for his mother.

He decided to help his mother do some housework. After school he went to a shop

to buy some food on his way home.

When he got home, he did his best to cook some nice food,though he couldn’t

I think Mid-Autumn Day is an old traditional festival in China。 Everybody likes it because its a family get-together。 You see it is called"Mid-Autumn Day"， so it often es in September or October。 It is on the 15th of the 8th of the lunar month。 Now， lets say something about this interesting festival。

My sister was fond of traveling. Ever since graduating, she had been

determined to organize a trip to an old temple. Since transporting fare was

expensive, she decided to use a bicycle to cycle there not caring about the

disadvantages. Her stubborn attitude was always her shortcoming. Once she made

up her mind to do something, no one could persuade her to change her mind.

Finally, we gave in as usual though we preferred to take a train. After we

both well educated and do well in their jobs. they know that knowledge is power.

father often communicates with foreign friends and is good at english. i can

learn a lot from him, especially english. his oninion on education is as

advanced as that of my mothers. they often give me advice on my studies but

never interfere in them. they seldom force me to do what i dont like to. they

permit me to have different opinions. if something is good for me, they will

persuade me to do it as they want. many people of our age say that there is a

generation gap between their parents and them. however, it doesnt exist between

us.

My mother is a math teacher. she is very clever and good at teaching. she

can work out a problem within 10 minutes which would cost me 2 hours. i envy and

admire her. i want to be a math teacher like her.

cellphones. About two years ago, it is very popular that people shopping online,

This years Mid-Autumn festival, we can be noisy in the home, her aunt with

her sister and brother come to my home for Mid-Autumn festival. At noon,

Water is a kind of liquid. It has no taste or smell. It is transparent, too. Water is useful and is important to us. Why? For example, we use water to water the plants. We use water to wash our face or to have a bath. We drink water or we will die…Water is also very important for China. There are 2.8 hundred millions of steres of water in China, but everyone can only use 2300 steres. It is only twenty–five per sent in the world.

Not too long ago, there was a man called Jacques Cousteau. He loved the beautiful colors, and the beautiful fish in the sea. However, when he returned some years later, the colorful coral reefs were dead and grey because the factory near the sea poured waste water into the sea. Jacques Cousteau decided to tell people how important it was to save the environment under the sea. He started the“ Cousteau Society ” to help protect life in the sea. Now there are over 30000 members all over the world. Since water covers most of the earth, Cousteau knew that we should keep the sea clean. We should not litter the sea, and should clean up the dirty parts. As water is very important to our environment, he encouraged everyone to take part in protecting our lakes, rivers, sea and ocean.

There are still a few people who are not protecting the water now in the world. For example, some factories pour waste things into the rivers, lakes or into the sea near by. The water there has become very dirty and we can’t use them at all. Although there are seventy–five per sent of water in the world, we can only use fresh water, that there is only a little. So we should use little water when we need to use it. For example, I do not use too much water when I am washing my face or having a bath… It is important for us to keep the water clean. You may ask yourself, have I ever poured or thrown dirty things into the water? If your answer is “No”, that means you have already helped to protect the environment. It is our duty to protect the environment. You may ask yourself again, have I ever helped to clean up the water? If your answer is “Yes”, that means that you have already done something useful to improve the water. If we use up all the water, it is difficult for us to get it from anywhere, including the universe. It is terrible to think that people are too thirsty to live! I believe, that if everyone helps to protect the water, the water must be protected. You do not want to “kill” your son or your grandson, do you? So now let us to protect the water! Yesterday afternoon, when I was sitting in the classroom and listening to

the teacher. Suddenly, the screen seemed moving and it started to shake. My

teacher stopped his class and then he asked us to calm down. He let the students

who were close to the door left first, and then the rest of us ran out of the

classroom one by one. After a while, everything seemed to be normal, the teacher

asked us to go back to the classroom. Later I learned that there indeed came the

earthquake. I admired our teacher so much, in the important moment, he did not

run away, but considered us in the first place. He is a good teacher.

Nowadays, motorcycles are popular around us. They have become an important

means of transport in Chinese cities. Compared with the bike and the car, the

motorcycle has its own advantages. First, it is quite flexible. When there is a

traffic jam, it can go through the cars that are held up in the street. Besides,

it doesnt consume much petrol. Most important of all, it can carry another

person at the back. But every coin has two sides. The negative aspects are also

apparent. To begin with, its very complicated to get qualified fur riding a

motorcycle. Youll have to go through a series of procedures to get a riding

license. Furthermore, the maintenance is expensive. Worst of all, it costs a big

sum of money to pay fur the license plate, especially in big cities.

In conclusion, it has both favorable and unfavorable aspects. However, if

the authorities concerned simplify the procedures and reduce the cost of the

license plate, the motorcycle will be accepted by more people.
