Dear Mr. Wang,

Thank you for a rapid response to our invitation. Enclosed you will find an outline of events to take place during International Week here at the University of Montana. I will also list a number of possible speaking engagements so that you can choose those things in which you are most interested. As far as topics are concerned, the topics for classroom visits are generally determined by the professor, but most professors are very flexible. We have approximately thirty-five faculty members that teach courses in Asian Studies, ranging from language and culture to history and economics.

12 am - International Festival begins with a speech by the university president and an introduction of visiting dignitaries

1-5 pm - Opportunity to visit festival, interact with student performers, taste foods

6 pm - Dinner with Director of Mansfield Center Phil West, Ambassador Mark Johnson, and staff of Mansfield Center

As you can see, there is tremendous interest in China here at the University of Montana. Please let me know if this outline suits your purpose, and if not, please dont hesitate to offer any suggestions for changes. We can arrange as many or as few speaking engagements as you have time for.

im of the opinion that taiwans students are pathetic because they have too much pressure in their lives. because they have to pass the joint college entrance eam, they must study hard, to meet their teachers and parents epectations, they have to study day and night. but its such a shame because most students dont know what they really want and what their goals in their future should be. so what should they strive towards? should they only want to get the best grades and pass the jcee? the answer is no. in my view, all students should calm down for a few minutes and think earnestly about what they want.

这学校的天，依旧是那样的蓝;学校的水，依旧是那样的清。我坐在石阶上，一会儿望着天，一会儿望着水。我突然想到：我们真的要离开了吗?

在运动会上，我们大家齐心协力地击败最强的对手，最后夺得了冠军;在体育课上，我们被老师罚跑二十几圈，最后一个个都累得瘫倒在地;在语文课上，我们的老师给大家带来锅铲，为大家做出一顿香喷喷的蛋炒饭，在老师的指导下，大家都妙笔生花，最后写出了一篇篇令人称道的好文章……回想起来，我都要感慨万分，好像是昨天才发生一样。

我们的妈妈——唐老师，我们即将分别了，您也即将接下一届的学生了，您一定会想起我们，如果想我们啦，我们就再回来看您，无论您走在哪里，我们之间的心桥永远都是推不倒的!

我们以为毕业遥遥无期。你就与同学嬉戏打闹但时间永远是无情的，它总在偷偷的溜走很快我们就要离开学校了。像幼鸟张开羽毛还未丰满的翅膀，初次飞向蓝天。这是我们必须面临的尽管我们有多么的不舍。

小学是人生的第一个舞台。闪闪发光的彩灯留下余热还未散去。我还不想告别，我与我一同表演的小伙伴。可是该来的还是要来。

我只能眼睁睁地看着时间从指缝里流走。徒增悲伤。

留言本上那一字一句青涩的语言，像夏日的滕蔓爬满我的心田。我听着窗外蝉林细数点滴的回忆。多少青春的语言被写进日记本里，我们勾勾手指头，承诺着永远，那曾经让我们咬碎笔头的难题，现在已经不在话下，可是我们的心里却满是失落……

花谢了，雨停了。空空的教室里没有人了。旧时光的脚印已经远去，我们懵懂的时光已经结束了。

国庆节到了，赤壁公园又要举行一年一度的焰火晚会。

吃了晚饭，我和爸爸妈妈一起急急忙忙赶往赤壁公园去观看焰火晚会。

走在街上，满眼都是赶往赤壁公园看焰火的人群。街两边红灯高挂，彩旗飘飘;路上是车水马龙，霓虹闪烁。好一派节日气氛。

来到赤壁公园，看到公园内外人们扶老携幼，摩肩接踵，真是人山人海。小孩快乐地玩着荧光棒，放着火焰炮，跳着蹦蹦床。大家翘首等待着焰火晚会的开始。

我们等了很久可晚会还没开始，我忍不住跳起了蹦蹦床。

“嘣，嘣”，天空响起两声春雷般的响声。

哇!焰火晚会终于开始那。

低空一排排焰火绽放，像无数喷泉在向空中喷发。五颜六色，煞是好看。

忽然两个礼花冲天而起，在天空中炸响，像九月盛开的菊花，也像千万条柳丝凌空飞舞，更像美丽少女的长发随风飘扬。

正在大家低头说笑的时候，突然又是一声惊天动地的爆响，像仙女散花般的从高空飘落下无数礼花，这些礼花又响成一片，恰似银河落九天。

焰火晚会进行了快一个小时。就在大家认为快要结束的时候，又是几发礼花炮凌空炸响，高天上飘落下八只红灯笼，灯笼下面挂着八个大字，上书“欢度国庆，祖国万岁”。这时人们情绪高涨，欢呼雀跃，到处是一片片欢乐的海洋。

我沉浸在这欢乐的世界里，感觉今年的焰火晚会更精彩。这美丽的焰火把古老的黄州城装扮得分外妖娆。

今夜无眠，好一个火树银花不夜城!

I went to Beijing on vacation with my parents last month and we stayed there for a week.

Imagine my surprise when all I got in return was a box of matches! I could understand a mistake. I might even pardon a joke. But in this case, your advertisement is a deliberate lie since a friend of mine who also sent the coupon got the same result.

I think its a shame to promise an economical lighter when in fact you are not selling a lighter a1 all. Instead of saying it works quickly, you should admit that you are offering matches. And what about "only" ￡2: I usually pay 10 pennies for a box of matches, and they are often given away free.

时间如流水，从一年级转眼就到小学毕业，马上就要转走了，我对这里的学校很是留恋，从一年级到六年级我都是在这里上的小学，这里的一点一滴我都历历在目。

上一年级的时候，我还记得老师从早上忙到晚，而且没有一点怨气，细心的教我们汉字，和汉字的拼音。而我们却在老师细心的教导下在课堂上说话，我们年幼无知老师从未怪过我们，因为老师疼爱我们下课还和我们玩游戏。老师看我们上课表现不好，就让我们拿没用日历，教我们做积分牌，上课每回答一个问题就让我们自动加一分，一个星期看哪组的分数多，选出前四名，下课老师就给一些小礼物，就这样一个学期过去了。因为我们上课老是不听讲。期末考试跟别的班没法比，老师没说我们，还鼓励我们说下学期好好努力。

上二年级的时候，我参加了小干部，我每天都要去美丽的校园站岗，我总是比他们早来一步。后来我又参加了舞蹈小组，就这样我就学习成绩被拉下来了，后来又经过我的努力我不光学习成绩上去了，我们组还领了好几次奖品。

上三、四年级，和二年级一样轻松，就是学的内容很多，作业也多点，但是老师疼爱我们基本上都是让我们背，不会让我们写太多，老师还买了更多奖品鼓励我们。就这样三四年级我们班总是第一名。

上五、六年级就不容易了，我还参加了皮影小组、校本小组、音乐小组。所以我比他们就更不容易了，边学习边练习小组里学习的东西，但是这样我也没有改变我的学习目标，但是这一期期末考试我很失望，因为考分的很少，班里刚四十二，我刚考了第十名。后悔晚了这一学期又过去了。不过六年级的时候考得很好考到第三名

现在到小学毕业了，不知道我将考得怎么样，不过我会努力的。马上就要离开母校了。希望全体老师平平安安，健健康康，有时间我还会来看你们的老师。再见！

我一天的学习生活 My School Day

I get up at six in the morning. Then I wash my face and brush my teeth.

In Tianjin,there are many buildings of bygone times.Some of them are

mot fit in well with each other,because most of them were built by foreigners in

different times.The traffic in the city is not very convenient.The street are

usually narrow and twisted.If the government wanted to have them widened,a large

number of buildings would have to be pulled down.Some buildings are too old and

are nothing more than cottages,and in place of them,some new high buildings have

been set up.However,the new ones are still few and in many places they seem

quite out of place.

Yet those Western-style buildings give Tianjin a different characteristic

from other cities and those new ones lend the city fresh vitality which will

spread rapidly with the reform going on.
